Great stuff mate!! i have been looking into which drone to buy, and am kind of on a tight budget..... The Spark is in a decent price point but it was the 30FPS that was making me second guess.... but i came across this video and i think you just sold me on the spark!!! very clear and straight to the point tutorial man! keep it up
Thanks Francis! I use Final Cut Pro 10.4 and found a similar technique called "Optical Flow" in the retiming dropdown. Not sure if the results are the same as Premiere Pro but it seems to do the trick.
Excellent! That's a nice use of optical flow man. Can't wait to try it out on my spark. I haven't used it yet because I know it doesn't work well on all types of clips. I notice some of the drone clips had artefacts from where it had frame blended, and some didn't. Guess it's trial and error and depends what's in your shot
OMG Wow, that's awesome. Wonder if I can get the same thing out of Premier 2018. Haven't upgraded so I hope so. I have a fiddle around see what I come up with.
Awesome tutorial mate, I've been butchering the my spark clips for over a year just reducing the speed duration to 20% etc, was never happy with the result. Just trying the optical flow step on a clip now, buzzing to see the difference. Cheers mate.
errrrr the clip I just created with your tutorial literally just blew my sox off. I feel like deleting all of my previous butchering attempts at slow mo. On the plus side I'm literally pumped to get the Spark out and play! Cheers man. Great awesome epic info.
Good tips! I noticed a little bit of footage that was moving unusually. 5:57 lower right side, 6:16 bottom half , 6:22 right in the middle between sand and water. It looks like the jello effect but just slightly unnoticeable. Not sure if it's just my computer but i did notice something xD
man! killer tut. awesome work around. defo going to be hitting this up. not gonna lie though, sometimes i feel like your hand movements are a bit distracting and a bit over the top. i might be the only one who notices it but thought i mention it haha. great work though man. love your channel!
Thanks for the Tutorials, love flying the spark however it can sometimes feel quite limited. Let me know if you are ever in the Sunshine coast(QLD) Keep it up mate
Super great.❤Hmm bro francis,im a great fan of yours. And i love watching drone like this.Hmm why don't you give a fan a giveaway drone.Like a cheap drone like mjx bugs.TIA.
Great advice! My problem is, as a hobbyist, I can’t justify the expense of Premiere/Final Cut - has anyone achieved this with anything cheaper - for example Filmora?
Do I only see this? For example the mountains in the right corner under, I see the rocks wobbling, not nice. The other parts too that strange wobbling in the corners. Maybe because I have a 5K screen? The tower was nice, so I will try this also, thanks for that.
I once doubled the frame rate of a footage to 60fps. Will it help to make the slow motion even crispier ? should I still use the 24fps to make the slowmo?
Oh man! I've no Idea how I ended up in your channel. Been looking for reviews about the Spark and seen many, a lot of bla bla bla but no one showed me what amazing videos you can create with that little drone. After I've seen what you do with it I want it so bad, I just need to convince my girlfriend to spend some $$ on it without killing me LMAO. I really enjoy your videos and I hope with my knowledge below 0 that I have on video editing I could do some cool stuffs. A question I have for you is: what do you think about the cinematic filters? are they a must have?
YES! my favorite drone! Thx for sharing. Great presentation!
Fantastic video mate, so useful.Thanks
Spark strikes back :)

Song during your slow-mo awesomeness at the end?!
Ooooow tanks you
When your DJI Spark tutorials got 40k more views than Mavic Air and you have to go back to Spark..
How does the spark cope in winds?
Yay SPARK is back. 😂
do you use range extender for your spark?
Be very careful with interpolation, it usually creates unwantred auras around objects.
Thanks I will try this method on my videos.
It's a fun and easy method
Francis Darracott have you watched any of my spark videos.
Why not select optical flow in the time speed duration dialog box?
HI. are those LUT-s aplicable for use in Resolve ? Thank you
Thanks for the tips Francis. Curious how this type of effect could be possible in FCPX or LumaFusion...
Hi, look at this video fore same results
