Seems like they ripped the systems and progression mechanics from Warframe, added the tower from Destiny 2, took the gameplay and feel from Outriders, with a few UI elements from The Division. Oh and a grappling hook I guess. I was a big Outriders apologist, and if you haven't tried it at all, this is literally what it looks like, even down to the way the loot drops look on the floor as well. With how much this game is taking from others, I'm sure this game's MTX practices will shape its identity and reputation more than anything, its Nexon at the end of the day. Either way, it's free, and it can't hurt to try. If it's good, it's good. If it isn't, then it isn't.

I'm gonna try it out but I have absolutely 0 hope in Nexon, the monetization will probably kill this game really quick
Yea thats the thing, Nexon is usually awful, but they have got handson with some monetization and so far it looks fair, but can always change, i'll keep everyone updated obviously :)

i like it, have high hopes for this one, i want that classic grounded warframe feel from 8 years ago, hopefully this will be it.
Monetazation gonna cook it. Even if they step down to a lower level of themselfes, aint no way they actualy compete on a similar scale than Warframe does.
Does look neat though, gonna check it out in 5 years when it has some content available.

Yea looks like it, the tests were all good and solid, and the monetization SO FAR looks good, but you never know with nexon in the future tbh

See the thing is you can play free and obtain everything...if you want something fast then its not the game fault that people with money choose to spend money on lack of time they have. Its really not that bad. The grind is long but thats nothing new with a game like this. Just play at yourpace and have fun. I will always spend just to support something i see a future with but i wouldn't say spending or not is bad or good. Its just an option! This game feels more like Destiny 1 with alot of warframe in it.
Will try it out, hope it will do a little more than rip off and slap some anime ass on it. I guess it will never be as weird as warframe but some more choices are a good thing. They dont have ordis or dante though.

@@basedx. well new places look good in wf even better than in tfd but the old ones... lets be real here yeah the game looks rlly good for how old it is, like RLLY good, but if they updates the old places it would be even better, just the same way they do with the new stuf they add, btw tfd looks not so good for a unreal 5, like no where that impressive as ark or some other games
I may try this game sometime in the future but as of right now, I really enjoy playing an over powered war god that can move like the wind. The whole grounded thing is kind of a turn off for me.

Its that Unreal 5 look and feel that I cant deal with. All these UE5 games look the same. Plus the lack of parkour and companions is lacking. Its just Nier Anatoma with extra steps, Morty.
I'll wait one month to hear about the monetization later before trying. I'm not that bothered that they copied systems from Warframe, but the monetization makes or break this game for me.

@@johntran4478 I wasn't a fan of Jade at all and the new mission type was just an elongated defense mission. Status update seemed good until it just turned from viral slash to all blast. It didn't feel substantial to me.

I played both game also ( D1 and D2 even tho I dropped destiny and warframe I have raid beacons) while I don’t care about destiny anymore, I would like some competition for warframe because while I enjoy the game there’s really no end game or reason to have a strong setup so I really like that the game plays like warframe AND there’s somewhat end game stuff

EDIT: and on the ripoff front, iteration is a thing. I get that you are hellbent on framing the whole situation as new game bad, but that ain't all there is to the story when you aren't trying to take sides and are just looking for entertainment as a consumer.
I mean I'm not stopping warframe coverage at all, just fun to have a new one to play with is all :) the warframe stuff will be on going as usual from my side, but just with some extra first descendant stuff as long as it stays good

I hope you are aware you are comparing mostly end game warframe "gear" of blowing up maps constantly to a game that just came out where you basically have no gear yet, you saying "i don't feel like a god exploding everything" is literally irrelevant because u are nowhere even near the level of progression to feel on a similar level yet. Also it being a Nexon game is already a very concerning thing considering their past history of games and monetization models.
Yea i understand that, but in the 1st test we could go furher and even though yes you can become very strong it's not power creeped....yet atleast.
But yea just exited for another warframe like to play is mostly it, and even if it gets to the absurd like warframe, thats still something I like aswell :)

I think it's pretty bad compared to warframe, don't know what people see in it.
Simple, high quality titties & butt. That's all there is to this game. They'll probably even soon add lolis to further look like your cliche Asian MMO. And because it appeals to that demographic, the game will be hella successful. Probably even beating Warframe.
But aside from sex appeal, nah the game is pretty bad in comparison. Less customization, clunky mobility, Destiny 2 esque monetization. My only hope from the beta reviews was that it'll at least have more lively world, better AI enemies, some lore and etc... except none are implemented. Enemies are bland, somehow even more so than Warframe's. World is straight up dead unless someone starts a mission. And lore is so cliche, that it feels like I am watching Asian MMO lore #339.
So in the end. If you want polish, Destiny 2 is better. Better lore, AI, and overall visuals. If you want customization & f2p elements, Warframe is better. The First Descendant tried to grab the bag from both, yet fumbled it at both sides. It has less polish than Destiny and less customization than Warframe.

Yea I mean, we will see, it releases tomorrow and we will quickly find out where they are going, for the time being, I am very exited, because everything I tested, was fun, and thats all I want, if it becomes ptw somehow, then yea I'm out obviously, there are some of the monetization leaked already and doesn't seem bad, at least for now.

Rival is a suuuuper long reach 😂😂 it's like saying that a new soulslike is a rival to the original FromSoft game. Two things that will make or break the game that Warframe does better than most games: monetization and in game player trade. Lets hope it lives up to the hype for all the people that loved the beta!
Edit: Warframe is also so much better at character customization. There's just so little available in this game unfortunately.

Too Early to call it " Biggest Competitor" , if anything that is/was Destiny 2. Like many have already said, It all depends on Nexon and how they handle monetization.
