In Pittsburgh the tunnels go through mountains. The Fort Pitt Tunnel, the Squirrel Hill Tunnel and the Liberty Tunnel. We also have the shorter Armstrong Tunnel. Pittsburgh drivers change lanes in the tunnels even though it is prohibited.
@@futuretraveldrone I lived in New York all my life. Queens and Long Island. I never took the Battery Tunnel. I think I took the Midtown tunnel twice. If I had to go downtown I would take the Brooklyn Bridge. If I had to go uptown I would take the 59th street bridge. I wasn't into paying tolls. Sometimes I would take the triborough if I was going way uptown. I never took tunnels.
@@thomaschristopher8593 that is true. I hate when they rename stuff. There is history involved, and not only does it disrespect the past there is no reason for it, it's stupid. Plus it just causes confusion for out of towners like New Yorkers who moved away and are coming back for a visit. Think they know where they are going but take a wrong turn because they decide to rename a road or bridge.
Thanks for this video. The Battery Tunnel is the only one I've never been through, and the interior looks quite different from the other tunnels.

12:27 Sopranos tunnel opening, 12:54 turn in opening.
Man... all of those tunnels look so narrow! One little sneeze and your in the wall...
oh yes, no phone when driving.
Should have pushed the little red button in the Queens tunnel... LOL
I wish our tunnels had those poles because people don’t understand what “stay in lane” and “do not change lanes in tunnel” means.
This is just a tunnel dashcam video why do you use epic battle music like there is going to be a shootout in tunnels?
I'm guessing the first one is the Brooklyn - Battery Tunnel??? I never heard what you called it.
You must be young, they renamed it around 10 years ago !!!

@@futuretraveldrone And I drove the Brooklyn Queens Expressway and Belt Parkway a lot longer than 10 years ago. Since the 90's.
too many bridges and tunnels re-named after ex NY governors.
