Mark Bixby Memorial Bicycle Pedestrian Bridge Path -- Entire Path Ride -- Long Beach, California

Just opened to the public on May 20, 2023.
This walking and bike path dedicated to Mark Bixby who fought for a bike and pedestrian path alongside the new 1.5 Billion Dollar Long Beach International Bridge.
This is a video I produced after the opening ceremonies using my rear facing bicycle camera on my 30 lb hybrid bicycle. It starts at the West most section and ends at the East section in Long Beach--I cover the entire path one way in about 10 minutes.
There are multiple rest stops along the way with benches you can see in the video. At these stops, you have an excellent view of the Port of Long Beach, Downtown Long Beach, and the Queen Mary.
You can observe Port operations, and the orchestrated loading and unloading of cargo ships which I find fascinating.
If you want to walk or ride the path you would start in Long Beach here:
W. Ocean Blvd. and Golden Shore in Long Beach, California
(The path starts diagonally across from the Long Beach Hilton Hotel.)
When you are done with this ride--make a right turn onto Golden Shores and that will take you to the Long Beach shoreline and Shoreline Village that has dozens of restaurants and stores--a major destination in Southern California.
From there you can head over to Broadway which has a really nice bike path that cuts through Long Beach with lots of cool restaurants and shops along the way to hang out.
A day cycling in Long Beach can be a lot of fun!

Do you have this same ride with a front mounted camera and if you do will you be posting it? I would love to have seen the front view of that downhill.

Only rear camera this time. It is a very fast slope down. I do appreciate your viewing.
