Future Gohan's fighting style makes me think the devs were originally going to have him with just one arm, but it had to be changed at the last minute. Possibly for rating reasons.
It might also be because of certain special moves. I know Piccolo (Early) has a rush attack that involves catching the opponent's right arm, but there might be others moves I can't think of right now that involve the opponent's left arm

It wasn't a censorship issue. It was a coding issue, since they used the same skeleton on the models they couldn't modify his model without it looking weird and misshaped so they coded him to just use one arm.
Fun fact Cell's voice actor didn't change his voice in the Japanese version that's why in the NA version his pain grunts are of his imperfect form.
I think I recall General Blue either being able to jump super high or being able to land from extreme heights unharmed.
thats just a majority of strong characters in dragon ball. i dont remember him really jumping at all tho

I don't think Videl is "accepting her fate" in the warp kamehameha I think she's just getting ready to dodge obviously not expecting the teleport.

He was joking around with the accepting their fate part with both characters, meaning that they are just kind of sitting there. He clearly acknowledges that Hercule is doing one of his poses and that Videl in particular has her guard up, which could mean, but is not limited to trying to dodge an attack. He was not pulling a 0 brain power moment, but he was trying to be funny

The little rock’s flying detail during charges also occurs in Dragon Ball Xenoverse when close/on the ground. It also occurs in certain transformations, including but not limited to, SSJ3.
It also happens with powerful characters like the various Fusions.

What other transformations does it happen with? Cause I know gogeta gets them when he transforms but besides ssj3 I don't think any obtainable transformations do it so far, not even beast
Cause seriously I don't think any of the god forms for CAC, ultimate or kaioken do it. Neither does golden or power pole. Apart from like a second during the cutscene, Purification doesn't. Turn giant might for a second. Yeah I think it's just super Saiyan 3 for CACs and adult Goku etc atm and when gogeta transforms/ is transformed.
Edit: yeah I just checked, it doesn't happen with ssj4 gogeta, vegito or the little characters going ssj3 like gt Goku or Gotenks

Fun fact, metallic characters like metal Cooler take less damage against sword attacks (ultimates excluded I think)

@@kadazee It is from Tenkaichi 3. SSJ Trunks basic square combo does less damage to metal Cooler than regular Cooler

Hey Kadazee! Here’s a detail for you, in Budokai 1 when 2 players clash together using “Punch + Kick” you engage in the typical rotating of the sticks. However, if you do this with Raditz, the sound effects made while in the clash sound slightly different in comparison to the rest of the cast! Hope this makes it in the next one or so. Thx

I always found it strange how "frieza soldier" can only be selected once. They should've given him a name if he wasn't a goon/clone type char.
I always thought he should have had five different costumes and then you could select each one once, creating a whole squad of "unique" Freiza soldiers.

I figured that Hercule would use the gun that he had in the Buu saga and in Trunks' defence, Solar Flare looks like it really hurts the victim's eyes.
It's the details large or small that really made these games true legendary gems. They were very faithful to the series and they were true fan service. Especially the Tenkaichi games. Nice video once again 👍
I think the reference for General Blue's jump height has to do with how Arale kept juggling him by continuously headbutting him very high into the sky and he survived that. So maybe an inside joke of how high he could go?
6:44 if you look at Tenkaichi 1's charging animation you can also see the tightening circle design from when you activate Hyper Mode in Budokai 3
Tenkaichi 3 and Budokai 3, are my all time favorites.
In Budokai 2, doing the Warp Kamehameha against Satan was funnier because the devs didn't change anything except the inability to launch a ki blast, so it's just Satan trying to bluff his way through and getting beamed for it
Regarding clones in BT3: For some reason you can pick GT Goku twice, by first selecting SSJ4 Goku and then one of his other forms. No idea why that's possible, but you can try that out.
Probably because SSJ4 Goku is a completely diff character/model from his other GT forms, but I'll definitely try this out once I download BT3 again

super sayian 2 goku is kinda weird in general. he just has a normal kamehameha and then gets the super kamehameha as his ultimate. I kinda like that though cause the smaller beams tend to look better in BT3.
That kamehameha does damage tho

0:11 You can have Goku GT (Base) and Super Saiyan 4 Goku in the same team. That’s because in the story mode for GT, Goku GT (Base) switched with Super Saiyan 4 Goku. He is the only exception.
It's even better when you decide to transform GT base Goku into another ssj4 Goku
What about Majin Vegeta, Baby Vegeta and ssj4 Vegeta?
@@PrisonMike196, in that case, I am pretty sure you could talk about the many other Goku or Vegeta variants. Those characters are separate characters I am pretty sure, meaning it is not too shocking to have them on the same team. Only the characters where you click on the same icon count in this case, such as multiple GT Goku characters
I spent hours trying to blow off Future Gohan's arm. I think its more people remembering he didn't even USE that arm (nice touch devs!).
Exactly that. Anything else is a mod and I've seen a lot of those on youtube in the past.
I also thought Future Gohan had one arm back in that game! I always found it odd that his fighting style was tailor made for one armed combat if he always had his two arms. So always remembered him having one arm somehow through gameplay. I feel cheated out of a memory! 😂
Thought... Did you try to use Android 17/18s finisher on Future Gohan? Maybe it requires them specifically?

General blue is extremely buff and athletic. I know he isn’t as strong as may other characters, but it’s a video game.

Can't remember if this has come up in this series yet but I love playing as ssj3 Goku in Budokai 3 because when you teleport to dodge an attack in that specific form you can actually see him using instant transmission instead of the normal teleport. 99% sure it's exclusively ssj3 where he does it.
I remember General Blue having psychic powers in the anime, so maybe its a reference to that and he can like make himself jump high with his powers?
For the jumps at 9:10 I think it's actually explainable in universe. General Blue's entire thing was being beautiful through constant self grooming and training, hence why he was prototype Zarbon. And unlike Zarbon, Blue wasn't naturally proficient at ki, making him have to compensate with training. As for Goku, it's been shown in the series countless times that out of everyone, Goku is the most agile character due to his technique mastery, and for SSJ2 to jump so high after mastering SSJ, is completely reasonable. SSJ3, unlike SSJ2, doesn't have a stage before it where he has mastered it. In fact we have yet to see a mastered SSJ2. This likely is because every Super Saiyan after the first is not a transformation as much as it is what Kaioken is to base forms. The same as Luffy's gear 2nd, doping, or roiding. Due to this, majority of Goku's stamina is being burnt through so fast that wasting any on a jump would be stupid.
Anyway the real answer is that it's probably just an oversight.

In Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, did you know the Super Spirit Bomb can be pushed back? Use the x4 Kaioken Kamehameha or the One Handed Kamehameha Mk. 2 and you can push it back iirc!

Here's a fun fact in tenkaichi 3 great apes don't flinch if they are punched by non giant characters however Broly in his legendary super saiyan form doesn't have this problem it shows just how much of a freak of nature he is.
If the character is strong enough, he can make the giant character flinch, same for Broly.
This fact was covered in one of his videos already.

When it comes to charging details, also probably should've noted the water ripples if you hover just above water while charging. Not a huge miss but I feel like its another tiny detail that deserves being noticed.
@Kadazee, Trunks also has a magic ponytail, that comes back when powering down from Ultra ssj.

I think the one arm gohan memory comes from dragon ball z sagas. You could play as one arm gohan in that game during the Android saga.

Idk if you covered it before so if you did just disregard this but if you charge your ki directly over water, water shoots up in a circle around you in Tenkaichi 1 but they took it out in later games. It was one of my favorite little details :(
There is one exception to the duplicate character rule in Tenkaichi 3, albeit this might be more of an oversight or a glitch.
If you select Super Saiyan 4 Goku you are then allowed to add base Goku GT.

You can technically get two characters of the same if you select a fusion, then select the two characters that compose the fusion, so you can have two Gogeta's or two Vegetto's

Tenkaichi 3 has to be the DB game with the most love for the franchise put into it. I am so hyped for Tenkaichi 4.
A detail that I saw today while playing BT3:
If you're on super/maximum mode (to use your third skill) and get grabbed by any character that steals ki on their grab, you'll "lose" your maximum mode.

I found something interesting in BT3, if you use an Ultimate Attack on a character u will hear their voice, but if they are death durning the Ultimate Attack they are not saying anything, bc the character is already dead. Its a cool small detail in the game.

There were also 2 theories I heard about Future Gohan and why they didn't remove the arm. 1: Game rating would go to mature. 2: They'd have to re-do a good chunk of the cast w/ their grab animations or attacks, just for Future Gohan.

This is just me speculating, but I think General Blue has such a high jump is because he's kinda got super human powers. In DB he survives like fifty foot drops no problem.

I'm also pretty sure that in at least Tenkaichi 1 (maybe 3 as well?) If you fly your character so they're either just above water or halfway submerged and charge ki, the water will react to the charge.
NOTE: I haven't played these games for over 10 years and might be mistaken. But I could've sworn that was a feature.
I think he said that in previous entries of this series. Yeah Ki charge Is slower underwater than above it or on land.

I never played the BT4 mod and i do remember Future Gohan with one arm. Also i'm pretty sure you could start a match with one arm. Just a guess, but could it be the second costume?
Exactly, I played the American version of the game on my PS2, and I remember perfectly that Future Gohan could have only one arm, even that he could lose it in combat, and we are talking about the year 2012 - 2013 when the BT4 mod did not yet exist, there were only Battle of Gods skin mods xD
The unable to use ki characters in warp kamehameha had such an easy way to fix. Just have them throwing rocks like in dbl, instead of making them strike a pose. Still cool that the devs took their time

I know it's a mobile game but Dragon Ball Legends has the most anime/movies references in any dragon ball game yet. It might be due to having so many versions of the characters with different moves and special mechanics. I would love to see a video about it

I guess ssj2 has the best power up for the least possible cost of stamina, although ssj3 is a bigger power up than it it has a huge tall on the user's stamina
I dont know if you do videos on voice lines or on FighterZ but I specifically remember two interesting voice lines from DBFZ that I wanted to point out just in case for a future video. First when you use sparking as Gotenks one of his possible voice lines is "I'm Superman now!" implying the existence of Superman in the DB canon, ironic since how similar Goku and Clark's stories are. The second is when SS4 Gogeta wins a match and has Tien on his team, with him saying that Tien would me much stronger with someone to fuse with, and that he should ask Yamcha, referencing the Fusion from Budokai 2, Tiencha. Great video as always KaDazee!

Another one for budokai 3 is that if you play the saibamen and self destruct it won’t kill unless you have low health.. however Yamcha is the only one who could get one shotted no matter how big his health is lol
Tenkaichi has always been the best DBZ game that has ever been made. The details, references, roster, and everything about it make it so amazing. All other games have failed to produce something this good. Not saying modern ones aren't enjoyable or have been executed well but none compare to Tenkaichi 3

DBFZ is the closest. If only they'd included Install transformations.
FighterZ Is a better game, but it's a different genre and it's not simply the classic game for DBZ fans

Likely the reason why Future Gohan is likely due to the CERO ratings board and Bandai Namco wanting to keep the A rating. The reason why Dragon Ball Saga was able to have one armed Future Gohan was due to being developed by Avalanche Software for the western market, yes the Hogwarts Legacy developer.
No wonder you can find some dead bodies in Hogwarts Legacy.

Man I’m a huge Pokémon fan and pictures of the black tipped tail Pikachu actually upset me. I have never in my life seen anything resembling black tail tipped Pikachi (I missed cosplay Pikachu growing up) and I was the biggest Pika fan. To see people misremember it and call it a phenomenon actually upsets me.

iirc, he does in fact throw a ki blast. Which is stupid considering he shouldnt know how to use ki blasts yet
Fun fact about select same character more than once: After select Goku GT between basic form, ssj1, & ssj3 you still can select Goku GT ssj4 after that. And there you go you have 2 Goku GT on your team.
What uf you fuse using vegeta as the initiater which goku is used
Also you can have two ss4 gogeta by choosing gogeta ss4 and goku ss4 and vegeta ss4 on the same team then fusing them
