Thank you for bringing me back to my childhood days when my father used to play the 33 rpm records of Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass... Sweet memories ❤️
The first car chase scene, with the Mustang and the Renault Floride, is from "Le Gendarme se marie".The second scene (the Fiat 124 and the Lamborghini Miura) is from "l'Homme Orchestre".Both films starring legendary french actor Louis de Funes...
I remember back in 1976, my Parents owned a Lincoln Continental Mark 4. An upper middle class car with a huge Grill. It had 8 track player. And my Daddy used to play this song driving down the road. I am poor now, but the taste of honey, that I had back then I miss.
@@bobmalack481 And 8 track was 10 years dead by 1978. Rog up there smoked too muchganja & lost 10 years somewhere. & Taste... was out before Mex 1-D was built. The road to Ensenada from TJ looked like tht narrow parade.
@@andreaandrea6716 Absolutely. I watch some of the old renovated videos going back 100 plus years and everybody is so smart. Even the children have little suits, dresses and hats. Wonderful.
This kind of music was considered pretty naff whilst I was growing up in the 70s / 80s, but now it can really be appreciated as something extraordinarily cool..
These were truly the good old days. People were civilized, respectful and just having good clean fun. Oh how I long for the sixties and seventies again…
The beginning is a very delicate time. Know then, that is the year 10191. The known universe is ruled by Padishah Emperor Shaddam IV. We still listen to the wonderful tunes ob Mister Herb Alpert.
+jaime gutierrez see my comment above - it is a cheap German comedy spy movie that ripped off a Chris Barber film clip and dubbed Herb Alpert over that!
I notice from the comments that some people who watch this can't figure out that this clever little vignette was created by pasting together EuroSpy movie bits. Too bad people are so dense- it's very well done and cool.
So Cole, you think you're clever because you're old enough to have watched Euro Spy then. Did your enormous brain not work out that only people of your era would have seen this show and Herb Alpert was way before they were born or did you think everyone on planet Earth is the same age as you. Now that's not very smart is it. An intelligent individual would not have made the comment you did and insult people that don't deserve it

This is a good 10 odd years before 1976, and a piece of European culture. Robert at 67.

It's called CULTURE....... Sadly what we see today is more primitive.
Beautiful song. I heard it growing up when times were not demanding as today.
I love this video as well. Those couples dancing are very sweet. That was a clean fun.

The group in the film seems to be the Chris Barber Jazz Band miming to the soundtrack of Herb Alpert.

This is a different look for Herb Alpert. I could hardly recognize him.
gee the beatles did this song too
Love it….🎅🏻🏴☠️🏔
And today, grinding is a dance move. O_o
Check that robot drummer.
I think this was from a late 1960's Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass TV special.
