I've been following Juninho's football since 1994, when he was still playing for Sport. The dude was an extremely technical, intelligent and talented midfielder, a true baller and unfortunately he suffered in terms of the Brazilian national team due to the very high competition from great players in his position. Brilliant player!

A symbol of the times when Olympique Lyonnais dominated league games in France, even more than today's PSG. In the years 2002-2008, he was the national champion seven times in a row. Only Juninho Pernambucano, Grégory Coupet and Sidney Govou have won all seven French championships for Olympique 👍.

Se o Juninho jogasse hoje em dia, com certeza, estaria jogando em um time como Liverpool ou Manchester United.
Sem dúvidas. Na época dele o mercado era diferente e também a profusão de jogadores grandiosos no Brasil e mundo afora era tamanha que ficava muito difícil imaginá-lo em um gigante europeu. Mas hoje em dia, caramba... o cara ia deitar em clubes gigantes como Liverpool, Manchester United, Bayern, etc. Jogava demais, craque de bola!

@@Laszlo5897 *listen*, I'm not going to argue with *anyone* that debates this, mihajovic (rip) played in *Serie A* at the peak of it's powers scoring against superior defenses and goalkeepers via freekick with the kind of accuracy and consistency only found in the military. *anyone* who knows ball, knows this. The French Ligue 1 has *never* been at the level of serie a much less it's peak. Juninho is a master of dead ball but mihajovic was greater and proved it, scoring against peruzzi, zenga, toldo, pagliuca, buffon etc is more impressive than scoring on unknowns in France. Aside from his spectacular goal against Oliver khan in 2001, Juninho wasn't *consistently* scoring freekicks against *legendary* goalkeepers every week.

Juninho is a absolute champion and FK master.. and yes of course he scored past great keepers no doubt..
Considering he also played 200+ more games and only scored 10 more FK's than Mihajlovic.. how can you assess Juninho's as better by far??
