Your video's are great. Part 1 and 2 where really good part three is fantastic. Thanks for filming all this and your drone filming is really good. top job. All the best.
Great trip that. Like your appreciation of the facilities supplied - damn good too.
Bloody spectacular mate
My Uncle Dave was so disappointed that his Honda couldn’t make it all the way in - instead he was stuck over near the big ol’!!
Amazing footage mate, the landscape looked incredible!!
Mate. So good.
Great vidio
I really like watching your shows mate well done making them 😁👍👍👍👍
we stayed at the Pink Roadhouse about 2 months after you were there in a cabin, and someone had a good look through my canopy during the night - didn't take anything, but pretty unnerving ... Had 2 flats as we left on the side of the ute away from the cabin we were in as well, which - co-incidence? Dunno, but we'll stay out at one of the ruins next time, and just grab a drink at the Pink Roadhouse I reckon
Getting better and better as it goes on. Had a good laugh thinking about the dog on your swag, wouldnt of been funny at the time but shit it made me giggle. Awesome cam now to finish the epidsode
Would of been eery swimming through on ya own. Enjoying the series 👍
Jeez I’m envious of you Cam 😂 This is your best series yet!
Looks like an awesome trip so far, great perspective on your camera also.
Nice one Cam good to watch 😎👍
Top level stuff. Thanks for the effort!
You are a good man. Thanks for sharing.
Have a look at the App " Fuel Map Australia " once you set your fuel ie Diesel, you can get a idea of prices where ever you are. Works for me.
Fantastic work! Wanna see Part 4 ! Btw, your hint about wiki camps was awesome. Thank you
Cheers mate, part 4 should be out this Sat morning!
@@WildTouring I am very looking forward. I am right now planning a trip for September/October from Brisie to Perth. Really appreciate all your ideas and inspiration mate!
@@sloverlanding8630 that'll be epic mate, so much to see!
Googs Track is EPIC!!! Instant fan here!
Another great edit mate. NT looks like some great country!
Awesome series so far mate just found your channel, we just got back from our trip out there from Brisbane beginning of the month so must of been out there similar time. How good were the flies!!!
Cheers mate! Flies were out of control, thickest ive seen them for a while!
Cam, You stayed at the pink Roadhouse... Hats off to you hahah. Bring back memories, Cheers.
Hahaha rough as guts hey!!!
Enjoyed that.
This is epic! Im hooked 👍
Cheers mate, glad you enjoyed! Thanks for the comment 🍻
Fantastic stuff
Nice one! 🤙
LOL Oodnadatta. I didn't stay there because of the busyness so I headed off to the painted desert. Same with Coober Pedy. I camped a few K out of town
Ripper video. Well Done! They are getting better.
Cheers Mick!
It's a pity that some places don't allow dogs. It looks like a bit rush in 9 days. Thanks for sharing this journey.
G/day Cam. Great video. I also have a 2017 Dmax with the same canopy. We have very similar mods. Noticed your bin bag on the rear door and was hoping you would give me an idea regarding how you attached it. Thanks in advance Wayne.
Cheers Wayne. When I modified the tray to suit the canopy, I removed the tie down rails and bolted them to the back of the canopy. That's what the bin bag is hanging off. Not sure if youve seen this video of the vehicle build, but you can see the rails a bit clearer -

Woop woop
Awesome video...just made my trip longer now though :)
Cheers Dean. Enjoy it out there mate, so much to do and see!
How did you not go through the Painted Desert. It's such an amazing place
I’d have been stuck there until the roads dried out again if I chanced it.
@@WildTouringthat's fair enough. I went through there June 2019....and headed East across the Simpson. Plenty of water coming down Eyre creek that year.
👌👍
in 24:41 something running in the right
Really nice trip, How do you drive and fly the drone at the same time ???
With great difficulty 😂
There is 'follow me' or 'active track' functions, but theyre not that flash. So I'm generally driving with one hand and controlling the drone with the other (when safe to do so).
This was a mint episode mate, great footage.
Your rig is riding fairly level, are you driving light or do you have something special under the rear end?
Thanks Colin! I was at my usual touring weight on that trip, 240L of diesel and water, fridge/freezer full, firewood etc.. I'm running a Pedders GVM upgrade, so the rear leaf pack is rated to carry the weight + 160kg ball weight when the campers in tow.
Thanks for the reply, keep up the good work you'll be glad to get home...
Love the videos mate keep them coming, but I couldn't go to all these amazing places by my self and not take my wife with me. How do you do it on your own
Cheers mate. Yeah I hear you, I would have loved the wife and daughter to come but the wife couldnt get the time off and too many KMS to do with a 2 year old in the time I had off. So it was either a smaller trip with them, or a bigger trip solo.
@@WildTouring fair enough iv been watching your videos prepping we got a little one on the way and we do lots of 4wding an camping around Perth and Esperance so cant wait until she is couple months old to get out
Awesome video mate! could you please include a list of your Dmax mods in a future video or description? I have a 2014 Dmax and want to upgrade and add a few mods to mine, would be very helpful! cheers, Hennie
Thanks mate! Here's a video filmed not long ago that shows basically every mod I've done to the car and canopy :
czcams.com/video/UeiyFJIF3Mc/video.html
Thanks! keep the videos coming
Great footage but when you pan around please move the camera slower. Epic drone footage that turns to track the car.
Thanks for the feedback Karl. Appreciate it mate, and I'll take it on board next time I'm filming!
FYI the "part" number in the thumbnail is covered by the run time of the video (black box with numbers that overlays in the thumbnail view of youtube).
You might want to move it to the middle or something???
Cheers mate. Thanks for pointing that out. I'll fix it up!
So, when are you taking me with you Cam?
Hi Cam, looking at doing something similar in August. Any chance of getting a copy of your route map that you took or including a link on next part?
If youre on Facebook shoot my page a msg and ill send you some screen shots from Wikicamps with the route and camps etc.

Hey cam what size ryobi chainsaw have you got mate
It's the smaller 18v one with the 12" bar. Going to do a video soon comparing a Stihl 2 stroke, the cheaper ryobi 18v and a more expensive stihl battery saw. Specifically for campfires/travelling.
Wild Touring can't decide which one to get for my wagon 10inch or 12inch
@@panibe00 sorry I just double checked. Mines the 10". Get the 12" brush less model, chain speed is faster. I find mine jumps and bucks quite a bit because the chain speed is so slow. Still cuts, but not gracefully haha. 😂
What size tyres and live you running
stephen turton he does have a video on his car, was a pretty recent video I can’t remember but I think it’s 265 75
Yeah 265/75r16. Pedders GVM upgrade gave me about an inch over standard height. As Newport said, theres a full rig run down on my channel if youre interested.
