It is the Love that brooks no obstacle between the soul and the Divine. It is the Love that leans into the abyss and battles with the forces of darkness to save the seeds of truth and Light buried within the Inconscience. It is the Love that goes as far as to identify itself with all that is dark and becomes Kali to change the dragon base of time. Who can bear this intense and mighty Love but he whom Krishna already possesses.
I have a question: Sri Aurobindo as you said has written the epic on many levels. For me reading it without any reference to the background gives me the joy when/if I uncover a layer of meaning. Knowing the "story" and meaning of "Sun, Night, god, Fate" somehow limits my mind/vision to that layer only. As the mind now thinks it knows The Meaning! Not withstanding this, I still cant stop listening to your words. Even after 100+ hours you dont repeat anything. Nitya-nutana. How does one solve this conundrum?
Dear Jagannath bhai Yes it is always better to read works such as Savitri with a mind that is quiet and open to the Light above. When we are in this state then very naturally truth begins to dawn and the right understanding grows. At the same time it helps if there is some bit of orientation of the general drift of the intrinsic sense, not a rigid way of course but as a provisional scheme. Yes it is also important not let the mind enter the illusion of knowing just because one has read something. This illusion can easily enter even without the meaning. For example, a number of people read the Gita and just because they can remember and recite it, they may believe, wrongly or rightly, that they know it. But true knowledge can only come when we seek and strive rightly. That is the most important thing. The purpose of talks etc also should not be to fix a meaning but to inspire, the engage, to create a ground fertile for taking interest, to awaken the aspiration. Once that is done the res is a natural process of knowing through successive revelations that mount one upon another like the ancient Vedic Rishis. Affectionately alok bhai
