- Hi Friends! Happy to share an unboxing/mini review on the newly launched Louis Vuitton Montsouris Backpack in the larger PM size. My apologies I look a little rough as this was filmed the same night I picked this beauty up (Saturday September 26). I don't know about you but I binge watch CZcams unboxing and reviews when I'm interested in a particular bag, so I hope this helps!
Also forgot to mention, the Montsouris BB comes with detachable straps allowing you to carry it different ways similar to the Palm Springs Mini!
**Price correction - In the video I noted the price of $2,360 for the PM size which is actually the price for the "Natural" colorway. The Montsouris PM in "Noir" is priced a little higher at $2,470 plus tax.
The Louis Vuitton Montsouris backpacks come in a few different colors and materials.

Thank you so much 🥰 no not at all! The magnetic closure is pretty strong it takes a bit of effort to undo it. You’d just have to make sure you tighten the adjustable cord so your items are secure. Hope this helps 💕

Hi, Thanks for your review! I just received this bag yesterday and I love it, but the canvas is very stiff. My SA said it is meant to be that way to protect the structure of the bag. Still it's a bit rough to the touch and dry feeling (if that makes sense). I also feel the leather and canvas are a bit dull looking in color. Did you notice this? I don't know if it is just the one i got & to exchange it or if this model is just like that. For reference mine is Made in France. Any comments on your Montsouris PM in Noir are appreciated!!

I was wondering about what could fit in it. I’m debating on this bag or the Palm Springs pm. For traveling. So could like an iPad fit in this bag? I hope you do a follow up on what fits in. Definitely curious!
Hi! Would love to follow up with a video on what fits. For a travel bag I would recommend the Palm Springs because of the full zipper around the bag. While the magnet is strong I wouldn’t feel as secure walking around with the Montsouris. A mini iPad would fit but anything bigger would either stick out weird on top or make it hard to cinch the top by the drawstring. Hope this helps!
Congrats on the new bag. It looks gorgeous! How does the bag straps feel on you when the bag is filled up? Does it dig when worn for few hours? Also, does a Macbook 13" fit in?
Thank you love! The straps don’t bother me at all any more than my other cross bodies do. I just tried sticking my MacBook 13 in and it does fit inside but it won’t close and sticks out of the bag :( the Palm Springs in the bigger sizes might accommodate a MacBook better because of its shape. Hope this helps!

Do you still have this backpack? If so, how is wear and tear? Would you still recommend it? How is the string - opening and closing? I want this backpack so bad but I am afraid of canvas cracking because of its closure.Thank you in advance!

let me look for mine! but if you just bought yours I believe Louis Vuitton stopped putting date stamps on their bags beginning of this year and instead have them microchipped.

Hey love! Does your LV charm have glazing around it? I got two of these and one has glazing and one doesn’t. One was made in usa and one was made in France. Surprisingly the USA one is better quality all around but I’m confused on if the charm should be glazed or not.

Amber Aguilar it’s so strange! The bag made in France had the glazing... Maybe the ones made in France have the glazing? I can’t decide which style I like better, but I’m leaning toward no glazing. I wish they would get it together and keep things consistent. *sigh* wishful thinking 😩

I just got mine today and I was debating between monogram & black empriente. Kind of kicking myself in the butt for not going with the empriente 😭 I don’t travel so any bag I purchase from lv is used as a daily bag. The empriente was just more understated and it would match with everything.
I love both but I think over time you might find the monogram to hold structure better as the empriente will soften eventually. I do think either one would make an amazing daily bag

the lining isn’t canvas, it’s rough fabric. I have this bag too, too bad it’s not microfiber lining like in the Sperone but at least the dark color will hide more stains
so i have the older montsouris...the one that you have to completely buckle to open, i hate that the bottom of the back isn't as structured, the bottom base of the bag tilted up into my back....and theres a big gap from my back... as if the bag falls forward... does this bag do that??

Funny you say they were out of ribbon I was just telling my sister I picked up package I had delivered to the LV store and my ribbon wasn't on my box either. I did see them wrapping others as I waited for my order that was available for pickup 3 days prior so it should've been on there.. idk what's going on with the half ass crap but they're not lowering on the prices don't slip on my bells and whistles ijs

So with the BB you can detach the straps ugh I didn't know the straps were non detachable
Should’ve mentioned it but yes the BB straps are detachable like the Palm Springs mini and can be worn different ways 💕

Congrats this is a great size , it’s the same size as my LV sperone And I love that backpack for sure ! I am a total backpack girl , always have been ,I also have 2 Palm Springs Pm size backpacks and I have the Palm Springs mini , I use all 4 of my backpacks on the regular girl ! Congrats ,it’s very nice with the mono and black leather ! Enjoy it !

Only untreated leather (vachetta) will patina over time lol this black leather is treated and won’t, it will just get softer though just like normal leather would

Thanks love! Unfortunately it doesn’t fit my MacBook 13. It sticks out on the top and the cinched top doesn’t allow you to securely close the bag :( other than that it fits my daily necessities 🥰

Hi! Yes I believe so. They’re only attached together by the piece you slide to tighten/loosen. So in the future I’m sure you can get a replacement string! Hope this helps. Planning on making an updated video on this bag!

I love luxury lv backpack but girl has got bills lol , a friend at my work place introduced slaybags to me and i googled ,saw good reviews about the quality of the bags so i purchased the damier azur mm from there and omg i love it , the quality is almost like the real and it came with card and receipt as well . I am happy hopefully i can get the real deal some day .Just sharing
