Buying singles is always the best option I always tell that to new players given konami and there scam short prints. It is really funny when players still say konami don't short print.
This is slightly similar to how old booster boxes were distributed, hobby boxes vs retail boxes. There were cards that exclusively available in only the hobby versions of the booster boxes and others that are exclusive to the retail version. This isn’t quite on that level of exclusivity but it’s nice that there is a different way to consume their products for people who don’t have a good locals/hobby store around their area.

In the UK here. We have something similar to the retail boxes. We have a 3-pack box of Legacy of Destruction, with 1 of the 5 tokens included. Only seen them at the retail chain GAME so far.

I can tell you why that Yu-Gi and silent token is getting money. Ever since the silent magician retain in 2014 to prove that silent magician is female (yes I know people since playing OG yugioh that though it was male), more guys have become fans boys of little Yu-Gi silent mommy magician instead of going for that **&$% DMG everyone else likes, so we want any and all love they give to her now but I've been a fan of her since day one in the GBA promo which I still have
