I'll never forget the day Chester passed. My old band had a practice scheduled and we all showed up without really saying a word. We had never practiced it as a band but our guitarist started playing the intro to numb. Then our bassist joined in. Our drummer. They released Somewhere I Belong first, which was a more subtle approach to the sound they were known for with HT, but it was a bang too and could easily be compared to Lost. Then they released Faint, which, while it sounds even harder than Fighting Myself, it still hits harder than the former single. It's like Mike wants to repeat even the way they promoted the album.

The message is reversed, but the order of the words still are reversed as well, just like how they did the guitar intro. Reversed, the order is 4 - 3 - 2 - 1, they clipped the audio tracks to put them back in the order of 1 - 2 - 3 - 4.
The original message just reversed is "happen to this wanted never I." -> "I never wanted this to happen."

I've been thinking about this song for six days and decided to deliver my story about Linkin Park that I had. When it comes to Linkin Park I believe I heard them first in 2005. At that time I experienced many different things for the first time: like anime called Naruto and I was very much into AMV's, and during one I heard "Somewhere I Belong" by Linkin Park. Since then it was the song that slowly became my favorite from Linkin Park. I enjoyed the sound of it more than any other and when I started to understand English language it resonated with me on a deeper level. Just like Chester I needed "to find something I wanted all along. Somewhere I belong.".
I already found many people that I can call as my greatest friends and I still have my family that I deeply love. ❤Still this song "Fighting Myself" starts to resonates with me more than even that "Somewhere I Belong". When I think about it I remember every moment when I kept some secrets from my mom. I just didn't wanted to be "another source of problems for her". This is the lesson that I learned the hard way and I want other people to know it. It's important to adress the issues, that You are dealing with to people, that You can trust. Otherwise You will be overwhelmed with those problems, explode with "anger that is constantly inside" You and still become "another source of problems for the closest ones" , and feel like: "It would be better, if I would adress those problems way earlier" (just like me).
That's a long story I know. But I think I needed to get it off from my chest. 😂Great reaction!😃

0:15 Linkin Park, Slipknot, and Breaking Benjamin mostly from what I've noticed, but sometimes Korn, Three Days Grace (w/ Adam), Deftones, and Otep are other late 90s-early 2000s alt-metal bands that influence later metal bands.

I don’t think it’s really an exaggeration to say 90% of modern metal wouldn’t exist without these guys. They would at least exist differently. Even if they’re a slipknot copy there’s probably at least the slightest influence from Linkin Park in most of them.
I also got into Linkin Park a little late. My favorite thing about them is they remained cool while being mainstream. It’s one of the few bands I can truly enjoy while listening to it with my wife and friends
