- In this Ladybug Grasshopper tutorial, I will show you the basics. First I will show you how to install Ladybug and run the components. Then I will explain the energy plus weather files (EPW) and how they give us the most important information about temperature, humidity, and wind.
After making the sun path and defining the conditional statements we will also study wind rose and radiation rose graphs and the end we will optimize the orientation of a building base on radiation and surrounding buildings.

i also have a problem when I did the lady bug orientation study parameter I got a runtime error : solution exception :'int' object is unsubscripatble

Hello! thank you for the tutorial its amazing. I have a problem that I do not have the analysis period vector in the sunpath, can I plug in the hoys instead of that? also do not have the annual hourly data, only have data and when I plug the day bulb temperature etc in that the graph disappears

I have 2 shape. a complex dome and a cube
I cant calculate radiation on one of them. radiation on complex dome is 0. however i have result on the cube. one time i just set dome and another time just set cube.(one set a brep)
I didnât set a context geometry in the both modes.
I changed my grid size and my epw file but didnât happen a new result except 0 just for complex dome.
I donât know why my result is 0. maybe my shape is complex??
is it possible that i send u my file?

Excellent question, All the information that have Rhino, grasshopper, or whatever software is direct by equations, so if you want to analyze another planet, you must know the equations to determine its characteristics, maybe with phyton exist that possibility to write those equations. I hope I give you any idea.

hello, can you help me why i couldn't find the SUNPATH layer section? i imported my 3d file from sketch up to rhino and the sketch up itself have its own layer, shouldn't it be added to new layer? but mine is missing, plus. i use rhino 6 and install the lady bug 1.0.4 it wont show the ladybug_ladybug.. but then i copy the earlier version of ladybug which ladybug0065honeybee0062 it could be operated.. can anyone solve or have the same problem? help me to solve. this gonna be a lot helpful for my thesis program, thanks a lot!

I do have Grasshopper downloaded and know how to use it but get stuck when it comes to the plugins.
