Love this series! Thanks for sharing your incredible journey with us, Dee. Is this the last video of this cruise? I don’t see anymore.

I’m not going to lie-seeing penguins was one of the highlights of this cruise for me! If you have traveled to South America//Antarctica, what were some of YOUR highlights? If you haven’t cruised yet, but have this cruise on your bucket list, what would you be the most excited about seeing?

We’re doing this cruise next Jan/Feb. Could you please do a packing video and suggest the perfect type of jacket for this cruise. TIA. Thanks for sharing your journey. It’s great!

I will! Briefly, my jacket for the Antarctica portion and some of the places we visited with penguins with high winds was a Lands End jacket-you can see it in several of these videos-my husband had the male version as well. Was very warm and practical-lined pockets for hands, cuffs to keep wrists warm. I think it was rated for the mid 20s which was definitely warm enough for the cruise, and cost $179 on sale.

Thanks Dee! We have time to find appropriate jackets and thanks for telling me what you used.
      Happy cruising!!

We are doing this same cruise in December and have booked a port side room (8048). Should we switch to starboard or do both sides get good views ? Thanks!

If you are going in the same direction that I did (Santiago to Buenos Aires) I do think that overall, Port side is a bit better, especially since you’ll have Glacier Alley on your side. That said, my views from Starboard were quite good, especially in Chile, and in the channels and fjords. And you never know which sides the whales and penguins will be! In any event, for the “big” stops like Antarctica, you’ll want to be on the bow or elsewhere on the ship that gives you access from both sides, and not in your cabin.

@@CruisingWithDee We are going from Buenos Aires to Santiago so I am thinking I should be on the port side maybe.

@@JeffHalapin No! Starboard Is better from Buenos Aires! The opposite of my cruise!

Phew-didn’t want you going off and re-booking on the “wrong” side. Seriously though, I don’t really think this cruise truly has a “bad” side! @@JeffHalapin
