Hotel Room Review: Astor Hotel in Athens 🏨🇬🇷
Hey everyone! 👋 BaldGirlWillTravel here, and today I'm sharing my experience staying at the Astor Hotel in Athens, Greece. Last month, I spent my first three days in Athens at this hotel, and let me tell you, it was quite an adventure!
🌟 Location: The Astor is a cozy boutique hotel located smack in the heart of Historic City Center, Athens. It's a stone's throw away from the Akropolis and The Akropolis Museum (only a 12-minute walk!). Plaka, Syntagma Square, and more are just a short stroll away. You can't beat the central location for exploring Athens.
🏨 Rooms: Now, the rooms are a bit on the smaller side, and the bathroom is basic but clean. But what stole the show for me was the jaw-dropping view of the Acropolis from my terrace. If you're considering this hotel, splurge a little for an Acropolis view room - it's worth it!
💡 Pros: The primary pros for this hotel are its unbeatable location and the safe, walkable neighborhood. You're within reach of all the attractions, day and night. Just watch out for those pesky sidewalks - I learned that the hard way! 🙈
👎 Cons: On the flip side, there are a few downsides. You need a key card to keep the electricity on in your room, which can be a bit annoying. Also, the hotel lacks a restaurant and room service, except for breakfast. When I had a sprained ankle, this was quite inconvenient. It's fine if you're mobile, not so much if you're not. 🙄👀
Overall, I'd give the Astor Hotel three stars, mainly for its unbeatable location and those stunning Acropolis views from my room.
