I used to perform high step ups on a 28inch box because I thought I’d feel it more in my posterior chain and although the movement was challenging I couldn’t feel my posterior chain at all. Now that you spoke about the active range of hip extension it all makes sense as to why I can feel it better on a 90° step up. A very small detail but a very important one. Thanks a lot!
We are so glad it could help out! Thanks for watching. :)
What a difference when I follow these instructions. I can feel the effort more in the front glute. Thank you for a short, clear video.
Great to hear! Happy to help!
I´ll try this. Thank you so much.
Thanks for stepping up to show this to us

How short and perfect! Great vid
Glad you liked it! Thanks so much for watching and supporting our work.
Thanks
Do stepups target the upper shortened position for the glutes like if we just do the top portion of the movement can it replace glute bridges/hip thrusts? Is most of the weightbearing load on the quads or glutes at top?
This is helpful!
We're so glad you found it helpful! Thanks for watching.
Thank you!!!😊🙏

You bet!
for a 5'2 person, what height is the most efficient? i have trouble finding the perfect height in equipment adjustments unless there's straight up numbers
What inches is the one you’re using?
Where do I find that platform? Ive looked everywhere. All I can find are the skinny ones
That's by "Rogue"
Good job 👍🌹🌹
Thank you so much! Is this a movement you do consistently in your lower body training?
@@PhysiqueDevelopment According to the explanation you provided and the benefit of this movement, I will definitely do it in almost every exercise. Thank you very much. I also have many questions. Best regards, Sidali.🌷🌷🌹🌹🌹🌷🌷
How many how often should a beginner do these?
1x Per Week as part of your leg training is a good starting point!
I need that step where can I buy??
Absolutely, here is a link... www.amazon.com/dp/B07TPRTF7K?linkCode=ssc&tag=onamzsuzannah-20&creativeASIN=B07TPRTF7K&asc_item-id=amzn1.ideas.3BNLHFRRSY3S3&ref_=aip_sf_list_spv_ons_mixed_d_asin&th=1
I’m a little on the heavy side ( weight is close to 200 prob in my 190s again) but how can I put more weight when I’m trying to go up? I still feel like I drive with my foot pushing from the floor not the box itself on my right leg
a little💀
Hold dumbbells in each hand or wear a weighted vest
these are more difficult than meets the eye with weights!
100%, once you truly have tension on the muscle, it's a game changer! are you working on glute growth right now?
The exercise seems more focused on quads than glutes; yes?
this is glute focused! why do you feel it's more focused on quads?
I do not yet understand the biomechanics, but it seems like it is working the quads far more
