You get extra points for having the balls to tell this story.
Wonderhussy makes me laugh think of the stories she doesn't tell us. This girl has lived!
Hey I used to live right across the street at Las Vegas Country Club! Had a condo by the Karen gate! I used to walk through this shopping center ALL THE TIME! I work in healthcare and would get all my scrubs from that uniform store next to Green Door! I moved away from Las Vegas but I'm moving back next month and this video made my heart beat harder, as if my spirit is pulling me back. I miss Vegas so much. It's the grimey places like this that I miss the most. And this video makes me want to do something similar...documenting my experience in Vegas. Thank you!
Dang! I never hear these stories from folks until we’re a couple of beers in!
3 videos in one day are awesome!
I only discovered Wonderhussy on my YT feed a few weeks ago, but I am a confirmed fan and subscriber now. Sarah has packed more into her life then most of us can even dream of. She is a wonderful story teller, and seems to be such a kind and adventurous soul.
The powers to be in Las Vegas should do themselves a favor and engage Sarah as a spokesperson for the city (and State). Why she has not been snapped up to do some gigs for a local radio / Television station as well is a bit of a mystery to me - there is no doubt that with Sarah's informal and honest style and background she would be a natural in front of the camera or behind a mic.
In any event I am a big fan and admirer from Down Under in Australia - and I wish her all the best in her future adventures...
Absolutely agree. She personifies 'Vegas in so many ways, and has the professional chops to do PR work.
Sarah is totally independent, not a bit shy, well educated, and has RAMBO BALLS. #1 in my book.
That would take up too much of her time and we could lose her as a creator…..
back in the 70's and early 80's the commercial square strip mall was so over crowded 24 hrs a day that parking lot was always packed full of cars.sometimes you would spend up to 45 mins looking for a spot to park .it had a grocery store that was always busy . it was the best place to go shopping at all the stores.
Did anyone else chuckle out load when she said she “had a bad experience at the Green Door”. 🤣❤️
We, your beloved audience, really do appreciate you and your adventures. It's clear that you have a good heart and a love for people. We need more Hussy in the world!
Love how you tell stories, hold nothing back and tell it like it is,very refreshing and entertaining:)
Nothing like spending the afternoon with this most beautiful ambassador for all things hinky, clinky and slinky. Thank you Wonderhussy. Because of your channel I’m able to amaze our friend (who lived and worked in Vegas for 23 years) with little known spots to see and things to do in LV. You’re an amazing YT feature. Love your channel.
If everybody was as open-minded as you, the world would be a better place. Wonderhussy rocks!
You are such a goofy lady, love how you make up stories of what you think might of happening these deserted shacks/towns. Keep up the great work
That's the great thing about Nevada. Anything goes, from mild to wild, and most of it is legal.
Now you've done it, Sarah: you're going to have every foot freak in this hemisphere looking over your vlogs now!
I went to that Lotus of Siam restaurant about 4-5 years ago. It was excellent. Apparently the owner cooked for the royalty of Thailand and Steve Wynn even tried recruiting him to have a restaurant at his property and the owner declined.
Very well done. I have watched your vids for several years, and watched you hone your youtube skills from modeling and other crazy stuff to A travel host for Nevada. Keep up the good work!.
Love your history lessons, you’re a born teacher.
Grew up in Vegas and this was a happining spot back in the day, the ice rink was there and a pool hall, women's spa, clothes stores and good eats and over in the corner was a Vegas village ( kinda like wal mart ) could find just about anything right there and it's so sad to see it all so run down...♡
Thanks to people like yourself, who make life more interesting. You will not see stuff like this on commercial TV. Great job.
100 PERCENT REALITY CONTENT! THAT'S WHY WE LOVE wonderhussy!!!!
The vice raided the leather bondage shop just to get their own jollies.
I heard about those places. When I was a young widow I got together with some other young women my age divorced or widowed so we went out to a really nice club and at a fancy hotel just to have kinda a ladies night out drinks & dinner. At the club where there was music and dancing drinks and all that. Anyway we were approached by a couple of women & men asking if we wanted to go to a big house not far a swingers party? I said no thanks said goodnight and left. Lol I don’t know what happened to the other woman. Lol
Loved hearing about your own personal Vegas, you’re a great storyteller. I hope you write a book someday.
✌🏻❤️🇬🇧
Wonderhussy you are the BOMB !!! I FREAKIN LOVE YOUR CHANNEL.. YOU are so open minded its ridiculous, I love it. I wish there were more women in the WORLD like you. Your voice and many different topics you talk about seriously cures my anxiety issues I have. I can listen to your voice and feel like I smoked a ounce of weed lol.. keep up the good work
Your videos are all over the place. That keeps it interesting. You never know whats coming next.
My wife and I used to live in Kanab, Utah and we came down and stayed at our bosses condo and we went to a really good Sushi bar there.
Oh girl! I made tons of money doing the same thing (outcall) 20yrs ago: Feet, Legs, hose & shoes! 👠 👠 Makes the world go round!!
So your proud of yourself, being like her and selling yourself, like a piece of beef, how sad.! What's wrong with you, to think this is all OK. SWINGERS CLUB, GREENDOOR, why does WONDERHUSSY KNOW ABOUT THESE THINGS! DISGUSTING,!!!!!
For lowlifes, people who are to lazy to work and are whores, I guess, all depends on how low you want your self esteem to go.
I used to hang out at "Family Billiards". I believe it was in Commercial Center. There was a Unique Wood shop in there that had awesome, one of a kind, wood, leather creations. There were a lot more buildings there in the 80's. Speaking of Adult shops, is "The Talk of the Town, still on Fremont and Boulder Highway? John Sterman owned it. I worked across the street at Carl's Jr. Graveyard shift was never a dull moment! Lol. Jackson Square was another shopping center like that, but, the Jackson Family bought it at some point. I Love Vegas and Vegas history. Thank You For bringing back such fun memories.
The vacant lot you referred to as the Ice Palace was the location of Vegas Village, a retail store and supermarket in one. It was essentially a forerunner of today's Walmart superstores. The Ice Palace was located on the other side of the Las Vegas Lounge, on the south end of Commercial Center. Thank you for all your great videos.
It is nice to know that you find some conduct "Creepy".
Always entertaining I never know what to expect. What a interesting life you have lived.
I bet that shopping center was hoppin back in the day!! Now it's just kinda "jenky" like you said 😲🛍
I just love the seedy side of Vegas 😂💕💞
Adult day care near a massage parlor.... Uncle George sure seems happy going there, Virginia!
I love the Commercial Center! The first gym I ever belonged to in the 80's was called The Golden Venus and it was a women-only gym.
Plenty of interesting pizza deliveries to this area. My first job as an 18 year old here in Las Vegas was at that dominos that used to be right there next to albertsons. Both are no longer there. Dominos moved across the street and albertsons just closed. 😆 love the videos wonder hussy!
Every one of your Vegas videos brings me so many great memories. My Mom used to live at the country club, I worked at the MGM Grand from, 2002-2015, when I worked at the Hilton we used to hang out at the commercial center after work (not the freaky places). That Gym used to be a store called Vegas Village and that goes way back to the 70's and on and on. So many wonderful memories. Love Vegas.
Clark County owns commercial center. (I work for Clark County) we (the road dept) maintain the parking lot. it's why the parking lot and parking lot lights are well maintained. Their the same as the regular street lights and we fix the pavement.
This video kinda says it all and explains why you are our favorite mix of weirdness and fun! Here is a toast to the smut meisters of Lost Wages. May you live in our shadowy back alleys and strip malls forever. Keep Life Interesting and Wild. Thanks Wonder Hussy. After all that clean outdoors hot springs stuff we needed the kindness of a voyeur to keep those life juices flowing!
Love, love, love this walk and talk about the places that are deeply involved in the Vegas smut industry...interestingly cool.
Commercial Center.....we went there every week to grocery shop at a huge grocery store there in the far south corner, now an ice skating rink....I think, it’s been a while since I’ve been there. Guess it’s empty according to your video....how sad! We moved here on April 1st, 1961, ya, a long time ago. But it had a merry-go-round out front where Mom and Dad would drop us kids off and we’d ride that thing all the time they were in the store shopping. Very different than it is today! The next Mall was the Boulevard Mall, that has all the major stores. I mean Sahara was a 2 lane street!! How times change......
I think every town or city has a sketchy, janky part to it. Boom times come so do the bust times. When the bust times happen the businesses close and the crowds move on. All that’s left are the lonely huge car parks and the crazy memories. But our Hussy’s a great history teacher. She knows her stuff! Kind of reminds me of the 80s pop song The Green Door by Shakin Stevens. Remember that?👍🇦🇺🤪😁🤩
LOVE this video! It's awesome having Wonderhussy give tours of the most interesting spots in Vegas, she's giving me Anthony Bourdain vibes.
I think the foot model gig sounded perfect. I’d have snuck a nap or two in.😊
All people should have a choice. That's true freedom. Well done, Wonderhussy! Two thumbs up!
This is why I love you, you're so honest that's why I enjoy your videos
So from now on I will think of you as "My Little Screamer" ;)
Great video, have a great day
I love how you get into the history of Vegas, especially this part. I live in a complex down the road, and while it's run down now, they say it used to be the place to be. In each building, they have a courtyard that had a pool in it. The one here has been filled with dirt, and trees planted- A nice touch, considering that we're in the middle of the desert. This isn't the best part of Vegas, but there's a lot worse, and living here is like half of what I would pay in Summerlin or Henderson. Thanks for the restaurant recommendations!
You have lived one interesting life 😊 and I love listening to your experiences !
Damn, I'm on the next Southwest out of Burbank! Thank you!!
Your channel is what makes CZcams worth it. You put smiles on my face when I need it
I lived at the Commercial Center in the 80's at the great Eiferman's Gym. That place was the gym for the who's who! It was great! Every celebrity that came to town, trained there!
She is uncut & real just how I like it ! NO BS! very entertaining and interesting! Keep on keeping it REAL!
Great camera work, content and editing. Back in the day the Stratosphere had some wild/crazy pool parties on their 8th floor usually during the week. I'm guessing that a lot of the characters that attended were familiar with this shopping center as well. Thanks!
Nice piece of Vegas history, thanks WH. I played hockey at The lce Palace in the 1970s, lots of bands played there, Led Zep, the Doors, Grateful Dead, Jethro Tull...etc. The Rat Pack had a private Supper Club on the 2nd floor above the Rink. Fyi, the bldg is still there, and there are many Rave and Latino concerts planned for later this summer. I'm one of the investors of the Rink, and l'm glad to see the Center come back to life, Big Time!!
Wonderhussy made my day again. Seriously, I love this kind of videos when you actually show the real Vegas and explain us everything.
I remember back in the mid 2000s, one of the 1st not quite legal marijuana dispensaries was in the commercial center. It was eventually shut down. It was called The Happiness Consultant.
I like how happy you were thinking about the history and diversity of the commercial center. Reveals how much you are curious about the world and how much love for humanity you have in your heart.
I lived in Vegas from 79-86. We used to go to the Commercial Center quite a bit the first couple of years there. Their was a large dept store, Grand Central, Big Five sporting goods, a great kosher style deli, and that empty lot was a skating rink. We took the kids the probably 79 or 80 which was the last time I ever skated. I really enjoy your you tubes. Thanks, Jesse
just want to say you look so nice walking away
The property with the fence used to be Vegas Village back in the 70's. It was owned for a time by the Jackson family. The skating rink was in the southeast corner. They has a semi-pro team called the "Outlaws" and it was the only ice in Vegas. It was at one time the center with all the jewelry stores in Vegas (probably around 10 with a jewelry school near the green door as well). The liquor store near the fenced lot was called the Town Pump. They would sell to an eight year old! The center section burned to the ground around 1976. I have great memories of that Center.
In the late 70’s the largest skating rink was there called Playland Central. Went there every weekend. Before that it was an ice skating rink.
3 episodes in one day?!?!?! She’s trying to break the internet! 😂 thanks for the entertainment today. Lots of memories in the commercial square but non like yours🤪
Truly a terrific story teller. I love all the history you into your adventures. It doesn't matter where you are " in the middle of nowhere " or Las Vegas your storyline is captivating. Thank you for all you do💖🌟
What I love about you is that you find things in the damnedest places
I was born and raised in Vegas. I think everyone I know has multiple stories that take place in that parking lot.
This young lady is awesome. I've been watching for some time and I gotta tell you your videos are like a vacation without the luggage. You've got a great attitude.
Loved this video!! I enjoy learning about adult activities that add spice to life. Stay true to who you are.
When you see me now, at age 56 you would not could not imagine the jobs I have had. I grew up in the strip club industry. And did, well any and everything involved with the clubs. So I see you now and unless you said anything about you doing the things you have talked about doing. I would not believe it either. You look and are such an angle. Great video by the way.
That was really entertaining, and the extent of your background knowledge was amazing. And it’s always fun to hear new little nuggets about your (sordid, but not really) past.
you are so entertaining and really have the gift of gab
Cue club is still there! I have had my ass kicked a few times there in the 90s. When I was in high school in the early 80's I worked for VitaPlus. Thanks for the flashback Wonderhussy!
You didn't mention George Eifferman's gym which was next to the bank back in the late 70's to early 90's. And the Cue Club which saw some of the best pool players in the world play there. Tower of Jewels was in the middle next to the nail salon that's there now... MJ Christiansen was across Sahara... two icons of Vegas.
I lived in Vegas back then and remember Commercial center actually had a lot of businesses. I once saw Jimmy JJ Walker coming out of Eiffermans Gym. There was the Commercial Deli I used to eat at.
@@Resmith18SR I was there when JJ Walker and Hulk Hogan came in together. George was a peculiar character and he loved his body builders but my brother and I were there for the heavy weights and didn't mess with steroids. A lot of the body builders couldn't hang with heavy weights... although some could. Steroids were the demise of that place... shortly after they opened the nightclub in the center building ... "Chaz" or "Chasions" or something like that... attracted the wrong crowd and the entire plaza suffered because of it. Contrary to some claiming it was a LGBTQ hang out in the 1980's and 1990's it was far from that. It was actually a very lively night spot for everyone and rarely did anyone distinguish themselves as LGBTQ... it was mostly a place swing shift workers went when they were done.
Skanky Las Vegas. Resided there and was a cop, criminal investigator, federal agent and got to see the seedy side of the city including commercial center where I made multiple arrests. After twenty years there, the happiest day of my life was when I relocated to the Pacific Northwest.
wOw as a Cop, you busted people in Commercial Center there... Gays for _indecent acts_ ? And weed of course ?
How great is that famous star art on those pillars in front of the store. No graffiti that I could see.
I was at an Air BnB house about one block from here on the day you were there. Bummer that I didn't drive by and see you doing what you do best. Thanks for all of this great current and past history!
Holy crap i thought I was getting pulled over. Listening to this on way home in car. Police sirens in background of your video. Lol
Love this video Sarah I'm kind of missing Vegas that vacant lot that you pointed out used to be a store called Vegas Village and hardware store called Von tobel's the ice palace was actually at the end of the building where the violin school and Las Vegas Lounge was located
awesome i'm glad i am not the only person here that remembers there used to be a vegas village at the commercial square used to go there all the time then it was a smiths foods .actually that empty lot used to be von tobel's
This is the best explanation of Vegas I have ever seen. I have never been there but this is excellent!
It is very much as she presents it here. All that's missing is the piercing, bright sunshine and stunning heat. I always feel that sense of worlds within worlds in Vegas, and the nostalgia for the past.
That place is the best! Those businesses are as normal as Rice Krispies. 😎👽
Oh, so now I understand the reference to The Green Door that some commenters make during CZcams live streams.
My wife and I went into the Green Door once, we thought it would be full of couples like us. We were disappointed to see there were a lot of creepy single dudes lurking. We left after 10 minutes. That cost $85 to enter.
OMG! another video? what a bonus!!! Loved it and the story you told, thanks!!!
Flounder: OH boy!...is this GREAT ! Back when Vegas was like an ADULT EURO DISNEYLAND.
There used to be a dealers school up stairs in the southeastern corner of that building in the mid '90s.
21:32 - A few months ago, your picture (dressed as a showgirl, I think it was a blue outfit), taken next to an old Thunderbird was on display on one of the walls there. It was near the photography shop. I meant to take a picture of it but never did.
27:46 - Vickie's Diner is relocating to the Commercial Center. Not sure of the opening date and I'm sure many are looking forwards to it.
THANK YOU NEXT TIME I COME THRU VEGAS I WILL ACTUALLY HAVE A CLUE TO WHERE TO VISIT! THAT ISNT THE STRIP
Always Fun.... get a cup of coffee, get comfortable, talk among yourselves and smile
My husband and I were downtown and went to the nearest gay bar…the Badlands. It was the middle of the week during low season, and we didn’t think about it being so dead, I had no idea what was around us. It was all quiet.
Wow, three videos in one day. It's like Christmas.
lol.. Outing your roommate Heather's raunchy feet was ruthless 😂
She probably made a crapload of money with those stinky feet! I met a dude once that had a foot fetish. In his eyes, the stinkier the better!
My ex and a got hit on a couple times by swingers. The first time they asked my gf, she said no, I was relieved, and flattered. Bc it made me feel like I was enough alone. Lol. Shout out Andrea. 👍 She was totally cool.
I love the little idiosyncrasies she has of dropping here sunnies and tipping here cap. A nice touch as well as listening to her ramble on. These are some of my most favorite Utube videos. Well done Sarah Jane.
Awesome stories! I love hearing about behind the scenes vegas .
Brings back memories of the Silver Slipper!
Used to run with a biker UC name was Stinkfoot, nobody wanted to be in the same room when he took his boots off, lol! Great story I really enjoyed it.
What a lovely part of the city and thanks for sharing your memories with us
Been to a lot of crazy places in my life, and ran around with some even crazier women. I never really thought about you being as crazy as me, I'm not like that risky Marine that I once was but again never thought I would live this long anyway. Your a very interesting person Sarah and no I don't think less of you at all, your a go getter and more than just interesting. Never been interested in going to Las Vegas until I became a fan of yours. Your a sweetheart and don't forget that and don't put up with anyone who gives you a hard time. Thank you for the tour and an inside look of Vegas in this out of the way place. I could talk and listen to you forever, you are most interesting. Love from old Kenny. 👍👍👍👍👍❤🇺🇸
I was a Marine from 1964 to 1968. My profile photo is me in my utilities at age 20 while I was stationed at the Marine Corps Air Station (Futema) in 1967. Semper Fi.
Just love your walking tours of Vegas!
I had lots of history there - went with my Dad a few times to shoot pool at the Cue Club when I was a kid and then many times as a young adult - my Father had an advertising business in the Arts building back in the early 70's - I worked for 4 years in the 80's at ART LOVERS GALLERY, an Art gallery and picture frame shop which was a few doors out of the NW corner - she glanced past a KAROAKE place where I think it used to be - there was a top notch deli in the island section that was very popular and was the place that Rat Pack types and celebs used to frequent - Schulman's Meats was a few spots down from the gallery - and last, but certainly not least, the old ICE PALACE, which looks to be the SAHARA EVENTS CENTER now, was where I went ice skating many times as a kid and later as a teenager/young adult saw many concerts of the big names of the day! Back then, if they weren't at the old Convention Center, they were at the ICE PALACE!! BTW - in the shot of the CUE CLUB there was a building with a zig zag facade front - that used to be a BANK! And, one last bit of history - I worked there the day PEPCON blew up, which was 15 miles or so away, and a number of the big storefront windows blew out!! We all thought a big airliner had crashed nearby!!
I Met , Liberace! At a Gemco, in Cathedral City. 1986.
Yep. Liberace shopped at Gemco
Love your honesty and breath of experience. Thanks for video!
John Fish Jewelers was originally on the northwest corner of Las Vegas Blvd and San Francisco (now Sahara). Yes, he sold jewelery to the stars and everyone else, too. John Fish was a wonderful guy. Two of his sons, John and Steven, still own and operate the store and many of us have been customers for 40 to 50 years.
A real gem’ 💎
Thank you for your continued support of our small business, as we are still at it here at John Fish Jewelers! Our family thanks you for your support. -Stephanie Fish (of third generation)
