Explanation and spoilers for the video down below!
Hi! This is my first and really bad GCMV. If you want to know more or just didn't understand the video - here you go, a whole ass fanfic! English is not my first language, so please don't judge the grammar or spelling!

This story doesn't have a happy ending. There are no good or bad people, only actions and their consequences.
Nightmare never thought that he was a person. He was an empty shell, an energy that lives thanks to negativity for the sole purpose of spreading it all around the multiverse. He knew that he would never do it alone and that he needed a steady source of negative feelings, so he got some Sanses to join his side and fight with opposing Star Sanses lead by Dream.
But Nightmare never thought that he would get attached. He never thought that he, the king of negativity, can feel something so disgusting and so beautiful as care or worry about another being. Those four - Killer, Dust, Horror and Cross - really changed something inside of him, and he could never understand how or why. And deep inside some part of him was thankful to find someone whom he can call friends or even... Family.
They made him feel more than a thing.
They made him feel like *someone*.
But attachment is never something good in a world where you fight to live and live to fight. Nightmare was practically immortal. They were not. They lived and they could die by the hands of anyone, be it Dream or Swap, or even Nightmare himself is he wasn't careful enough. He knew that and he knew it would be his fault. Those were his battles and his ideas.
It was either his goal or his people. And he had to choose.
He was scared. He started seeing them dead every time he closed his eyes. Nightmare never lied, so he only told them that he had a "thought". That "thought" haunted him every time he was alone.
He couldn't look at them anymore. It was so, so painful. There wasn't any better moment to complete his plan of killing any positive source in the multiverse than this one: his gang became inseparable. The most feared monsters in the multiverse were acting like a family behind the scenes and understood each other like no one ever would.
Nightmare had to decide. He wasn't even sure that his goal was that important or even right anymore. Every time he tried to forget and wanted to just live with his gang... his mind and his own body rejected any positive feelings as "wrong" or "unnecessary". It was slowly killing him from the inside. He wasn't sure of anything anymore. Nightmare was scared, mad and empty at the same time.
And so, he snapped.
He did something he never did in all those years of his gang living with him because he knew how wrong it was.
He did something that broke him and his gang apart.
He yelled at them. He beat them up and locked them in the basement. He was enjoying all the negativity that was radiating from them. He wasn't thinking anymore, he was doing something that only his instinct told him to do. He was degrading into that... Thing that he was before he met them all.
Nightmare wasn't Nightmare anymore. He was only Corrupted.
And so... Swap convinced Dust and Horror to give up with murdering and live a happy life without being reminded of their past.
And so... Color and Outer saved Killer from a life without emotions and took him into a peaceful future.
And so... Cross joined the Stars since he was sure he wouldn't be treated like a tool there.
And so... Everyone left. Everyone Nightmare loved left, and he was alone again. And it was his fault again. He failed everywhere and at everything again. He wasn't any different from that weak and pathetic Nightmare that lived 500 years ago. He could never do anything right.
It was his fault, he didn't make the right choice. He sacrificed everything for them before all the time, and yet he was so, so selfish that he couldn't actually sacrifice a part of his boring and useless immortal life for them. Why?
He felt like he was dying, and it didn't bother him anymore. Everything and everyone he cared for were gone. He killed his future himself.
The multiverse bloomed in warm positivity. And somewhere in a dark corner of some grey and pitiful ruins stood a crying stone statue of someone, who could never have a happy ending.
Sometimes someone would come by. Their glitchy and harsh voice would tell the statue some news about someone important to it every visit.
Sometimes someone else would come by. Their warm yellow tears would fall on some dark purple flowers they would always leave behind.
Sometimes, when it's alone, the statue sobs. It can't feel, can't see, but it hears and knows how long it's been. But the stone will never break and those tears will never stop.
And so... It remains.

Oml.. this was so painful to watch. I feel so bad for Nightmare... I just want to hug his statue. He looks so sad...
Poor nightmare he's also deserves to be loved
It was awsome... just.. Nightmare is my favourite and it made me sad- don't understand it wrong it's awsome just a sad story. "That's the exact reason why all of us left" Cross if you killed me it would've hurt less...
The feels in this, just the story is too… sad, you know many times dead is something that can relive someone but they’re immortal and seeing anyone important to you pass away is a hard hit, either you have a long or short life. It’s really miserable to see how nightmare tried so hard to fight against his nature and still in the end failed, in the end trapped as a stone with his friends visiting him for the rest of his stay in an eternal prison. The torture of having those feeling that just make his nature collapse, how his mind tried the best to prevail and in the end just drove them away, it might not have ended in his death, but I think, being trapped forever without any hope of saying ever sorry it’s just.. even worse than dead. Your story sincerely touched my heart, instead of ending in Dream’s final doom due to overwhelming negativity, the story made an unexpected turn due to care and made Nightmare fight with the last of his strength to keep himself together and not take anything else from his friends, truly touching..

(The 1st time is real tears like a waterfall, the second is just some tiny rain, and now, the 3rd one is just my heart dying from the inside)

This was a MASTERPIECE, I almost cried-
Ahhhhh this is amazing story telling and great work... *sniff* I'm fake crying because I don't like crying lol but it is so sad that night lost himself because he never told how he felt or thought of, because he was to confused and scared.. And that was his down fall... But at least error and dream come by.. I bet they all don't really know what or why it happened.. But now he's just stuck their forever when the other live their lives and die one day and no one would be able to say what happened..no more visits because that generation will be gone...This is so sad but I also like it that way because it's like bitter sweet😌🥲

Nightmare abuse the boys not because he like it but because their always positive! Nightmare hate too much positivity so this is his only way to make them feel negative but at the cost it made him lose his crew!
At the end he turn to stone because of positivity that he try so hard to keep at bay but he failed and cost him his crew and himself

I don't usually comment on your videos, but I recently found your channel. I have to say this is my favorite video that I have watched so far. They whole pacing throughout the video is honestly spectacular! Also, The table flip scene!??!! I could never that must have been a pain to make, but it was executed so well! The plot is amazing, and the description with the little bit of extra plot is amazing! I don't know about you, but I noticed that as the relationship deteriorated in "Bad guys", the amulets/artifacts that were made by Nightmares disappeared.
Yup, you're right! ;D
Nightmare made those himself as some kind of absorbers of negativity so that his aura wouldn't affect his gang that much in regular life
But, in here, he lost it and bet on the wrong thing, driving his gang nuts almost to the point of no return, and destroying the amulets was one of the reasons why they left in the end
