It not so much about Spida resigning with the Cavs, as much as the national media doesn't want him resigning with the Cavs!
He also doesn’t want to be there otherwise he would have already signed the max deal they can offer him
No they will use him as a leverage for trade package
lol, who'd want to sign there anyway. If LeBron was drafted by good organizations like the Lakers (pre- Jeanie), Boston, San Antonio, or Miami . He would've 8 chips by now. Cavs just treated him as a ticket selling attraction and never really made any moves to make a winning team during his first salvo there. LeBron was actually nice enough to fulfill his contract and not force a trade outa there. Bron should've stayed in Miami tho. Guaranteed he would've more than 4 by now.
@@jjms7167 He played in Miami and left after 4 years for no reason other than to make it easier on himself. Lamest player ever
@@blablablaa14 Naw,you OBVIOUSLY didn't see how he was back to carrying a franchise by 2014. Wade & Bosh were mostly washed by then & never made another finals, bron made 5 more. Miami was definitely better than CLE at building playoffISH teams, but bron made the right decision leaving Miami
Brian's last word: "Brooklyn". What do they have to offer? 50,000 Coney Island dogs? 🤣
When you make a comment like this, it shows you know nothing about the NBA. Bridges, Whitehead, and Cam Thomas with a pick or two sounds like a solid offer to me.
Bro hates the Knicks for whatever reason, but they have more to offer than the Nets and the Lakers.
@@Jay953windy does not hate the Knicks at all. Where you getting this from
@@Jay953 No he doesn't He's actually one of the most fair reporters out there. He says some great things about them on his podcast. All he was saying here is the Knicks are too busy winning games in the playoffs to be thinking about a trade package for Mitchell, not that they won't be active once the season is done.
If I'm the Spurs, I'm finding anyway I can to put him next to Wemby. Yeah you might have to give up Vassell and some picks but Mitchell is a better option for them than Trae Young is.
Trust me, putting him next to another Frenchman is a bad idea.
The Cleveland Calves
Its funny how people always ask the same teams to sign a big free agent: Lakers, Heat, Knicks, Warriors. Yet, te team with the largest cap available is San Antonio. Imagine Mitchell playing with Wemby. If he did well with Gobert and Mobley/Allen, how great will be with Wembanyama
Why would they give up assets in a trade when as you said they have the most cap space and can just sign a marquee free agent…….
You make zero sense
Well the Knicks are important because that's his home team that's where he goes during the offseason. That was the team he wanted to get drafted by but Phil Jackson foolishly made a huge mistake.. he also thought he was getting traded to New York but Danny sent him to the Cavs. Lucky the Knicks have Brunson but can you imagine them having Mitchell as his back court partner.
@@apap1586that would be a terrible backcourt defensively on a thibs team. Brunson 6’1 Mitchell is 6’3 (barely) . That would be Dame And CJ all over again.
✍️
I don’t think he fits the Knicks anymore. Knicks want two way players
Dame learned the hard way that trades sometimes don't work out in the players' favor.
I believe the Dame trade is on the team. Stop trading for stars that really don't want you. He never wanted to be there and it shows
@@jboogie45213 I totally agree. The Bucs should have been able to read the situation better than they did. Dame is miserable and, in my limited view of the situation, moving to Milwaukee instead of the rhyming Miami caused Dame's marriage to become irreparable. MAJOR fallout for a trade scenario that did NOT work in his favor. Donovan didn't want to be in Cleveland so he already knows that trades are treacherous.
@@808bAler Dame's marriage was already over before the trade. His wife moved out into another home 10 months before the trade. It has nothing to do with Miami.
Portland did him dirty. Should have just sent him where he wanted so if he lost itd be because of his choice.. if i was a star id stay far away from portland, and any draft pick should think twice or thrice before resugning with them on a 2nd contract
I would absolutely love him on my Magic!!!
At what cost
They gotta trade Donovan because he’s not gonna resign
How you know???
There has been like 7 calf injuries this playoffs.
only one matters . unicorn.
No load-management, it worked
Yeah and right foot soreness during the reg season
"Its the shoes, its gotta be the shoes!"
Miami has been needing a reliable scoring guard since dragic left, NEED someone like Mitchell and a stretch big cause love isn’t young anymore
despite the rumblings going to NY/LA I think Donovan will stay I think he likes it in Cleveland. he wants to see what this team could do they could still add if they want another all star caliber player they have assets.
I don't think he would pick the Cavaliers over the Knicks..
Here’s my problem with these guys…instead of worrying about what assets to add, WHY DONT the current players just train harder over the summer and come back better…Donovan Mitchell- improve handle even more…become a lockdown defender…work on jumping off your other leg instead of being a one dimensional jumper…
@@dariangartrell5620 Donovan Mitchell was traded there he had no say; maybe he wants to control his own path. . Sometimes they stay like Mike Piazza was traded to the Mets he stayed and got a chance to play in the World series .

What if Mitchell stays and Lebron joins, that would be crazy.
Cavs might have made the next round but donovan didnt play after 2--1......
Donovan Mitchell is more of a second option player scorer. He’ll be a great fit for Miami or the Lakers. He ain’t staying in cold Midwest. Sorry Cleveland
Only in the Heat the Lakers don't go nowhere in the West even with Mitchell there
Mitchell and LeBron team up in Cleveland 🔥
Probably would have to trade Garland since he makes 36 mil next year.
Or Mitchell goes to LA
@@chrisbrown8641why would he go to a worse team??
That was a stunt by LeBron James he's trying to hold the Lakers hostage.. if you don't have two All Stars on the team LeBron is not coming.
@@chrisbrown8641 what is L.A giving up for him.? Draft picks and junk players? And Trey young left klutch so he may be out the question.
He can’t not be number 1 option on a championship team. He’s a very good player
Spida being in New York just makes so much sense and I would love to see it and I ain’t even a Knicks fan. However idk how his pairing with Brunson is going to work and you probably don’t want too similar elite guys like that taking up so much cap space on a team
If the pairing wouldn't work, and two elite guys that are small taking up huge cap space is true, then Mitchell in New York doesn't make sense. And it doesn't anymore. Two years ago, yes. Now? Forget about it.
Donovan is alway bang up
Can’t believe people think Mitchell isn’t a winning player. There’s only so much he can do with his supporting cast.
Born and raised Jazz fan and Mitchell is an absolute winner. Any team that has him will win a lot of games.
That said - come playoff time that hero ball style doesn’t work. His style leads to a lot of people standing around instead of running the offense and that has resulted in never going further than the second round.
He will win a championship if he takes on the role of big time scorer and playmaker but not the hero.
He’s now got a couple years of injuries which also poses a problem
Hey UTAH - remember when Rudy was getting smoked every series and Mitchell was always injured in the playoffs?
Dejavu
He's proceeded as a PROFESSIONAL...
Mitchell on the orlando magic would be too elite!!
Ain't no one trying to play in Disney world
The two teams that jump out are the heat obviously but what they would offer would be low. The warriors could offer the best package but do they want to part with kuminga and moody or both. Clippers 76ers are other teams but I don't really see a lot of deals teams could offer.
He should honestly stay with the cavs, and add more pieces. They got a great team, would love em on the Knicks tho if we can sign free agent
So far at 9:42 a.m. eastern standard time ESPN has yet to put up a video regarding the nuggets and t-wolves game.
So 12 minutes?
For real 🤦🏻♂️
ESPN is so trash lol
East Coast Bias ... its only 6am out there no one up yet
Who cares? Nuggets overrated
10 minutes later.... Jokic drops 40. asshat
We knew it was his last stint with the Cavs by DM post. Good Luck DM
Miiiiami🔥🔥🔥
If CLE doesn’t make any moves offseason, Mitchell should leave. Garland hasn’t showed up in the playoffs. I’d like to see Mitchell in MIA or possibly in SAS.
really thought youngs cavs would follow behind him but they kinda shrunk in the years he came in, garland was too relaxed
O - O - O - ORLAAAAAANDO!!!!
I want to see him end up in New York. The Knicks deserve that. That was their master plan and whether or not it got leaked, or they were arrogant about it, or whatever, that was their plan all along. I think the Knicks will reach new heights with the addition of Mitchell, and, of course, keep your core in tact.
He and Brunson would not be good together too small with overlapping skills. That’s why Hart and Devicinso can co exit Garland struggles when he is with Mitchell it’ll be the same in New York
Yeah i don’t think Mitch and Brunson is the best fit and the Knicks would have to give up their depth
There's only one ball and both Brunson and Mitchell needs it. Not gonna work.
The Knicks deserve that? lol Why? Cause they are New York?
He is not going to the Knicks we got the big ragu that plays defense no thanks.
How do some of these dudes be overweight and talking about what an athlete does all day - it’s wild
Maybe bc body weight has nothing to do with how much you study basketball or how much connections you have to insider information on trades and contract negotiations.
@@AyoJayArr what I said flew over your head
My problem with this team Donovan did not have enough. Any team would want Donovan. I dont feel like Garland alone can get it done. I think we need to try and trade Donovan and get something good for him.
Mitch saving his body for next year's team.
Heat is the best fit for him. He can take 100 shots and Jimmy wont care.
Jimmy is likely gone lol
Even if a team trades for he's still going to go free agent; I think he wants to control his own destiny and play for his home team knicks. What would a the back court of Brunson and Mitchell look like..
Terrible defensively!
Mia and Phi would be great spots for donovan to play but Cle wont trade and let him stay in the east lol unless theyre getting a ton in return
his work load in cavs is tough. even they win not enough finals contender. if his team cannot win without him its useless..
Without D Mitchell, Cleveland C is nothing. Garland isn’t much a player not aggressive
He did the same in Utah, he’s out. He plays it close to the vest.
No way. Is he going to be taken and then sit because Brunson is their go to man. Can’t see him going there. They have plenty of shooters and definitely do not need him.
So many teams are betting on guys to be a number 1 guy, even when it’s obvious those guys aren’t it. There are like 7 guys who can be a number 1 on a title team in the entire NBA. Mitchell isn’t it. Bonafide second star guy
I would like to see Trae and donovan on the spurs
Bro hates the Knicks for whatever reason, but they have more to offer than the Nets and the Lakers.
bad fit tho
Kat for mitchell and minesota becomes a championship team
Mitchell to the Knicks
Come to Knicks
Windy's hometown is Cleveland. That explains his breathtaking defense of Lebron.
That's not a secret. Everyone knows about Windy's friendship with LeBron going back to when LeBron was in high school.
Lets say they trade him, what would the return be?
Where can Donovan go and get a massive contract?
If Ant is smart he would be asking for Donovan so he can have another offensive weapon. Wolves definitely making the conference finals with him, Ant and KAT
Smh they have to get asset back
Knicks makes no sense when they already have Brunson. I’m not sure the heat makes sense if jimmy butler gets traded . The Miami heat with Mitchell but without jimmy are basically the Cavs right now . The heat wouldn’t be better than a healthy Boston , New York , Philadelphia or Milwaukee, maybe not even Orlando if they add a major free agent like Paul George . Doesn’t make sense in Philly either , that would be too many guys who need the ball . The lakers is the only team that makes sense to me , because Mitchell with Davis is a perfect fit , and it takes a lot of pressure off lebron , it also gives you another young star pair with ad once lebron leaves .
Not trading jimmy
What happened with him and the Knicks?
Greeny talks way to much. You got 2 analyst on the panel let them in bro!
Reaves and DLO and picks for mitchell
Hell noooo!!
Best trade options the Clippers!!
Celtics are taking the hearts out of the teams they’re playing. Heat sat out the rest of their team for their final game too.
I think the Knicks are going to get them a run for their money and if OG comes back the Knicks can beat them. And if they had all of their players they would have been finished 1st place..
@@apap1586 they’re gonna tough without a doubt. I don’t know about that first place talk. Too many what ifs for me

Maxey droppin 25 mitchell 30 embiid 30 wouldn't be to bad
We don’t want that bro. Line up is too small. We want length on the wings. 6’6 and up from 2 guard down.
Zero chance dan gilbert trades donovan to lakers to help lebron. Zero chance
Its been a successful run for a team thats not used to winning a lot, but at some point dont you get tired of not going past the 2nd round?
They shouldn’t made the trade in the first place and they are gonna make a second mistake if they offer him a max.
I want to see Mitchell go to the Spurs
I was just thinking this same thing.
Mitchell or T. Young?
The Spurs are still the lottery team; he's not going to move the needle there. They were lucky when Tim Duncan dropped on their lap while they had David Robinson.
No please ! I even prefer Trae Young. He is just statpadding guy who will never carry a team to the NBA title. He is no Jordan. Wemby doesn't need that type of guy. He need a Point god
@@madhatter113 T. Young every day.
Cavs gotta get value for him if he is not willing to resign. The question is where can they trade Mitchell that he will want to resign and can offer the Cavs at least decent value? Brooklyn has the Suns picks among some other assets plus Ben Simmons fat expiring contract but does Mitchell really want to go to a Nets team for the prime of his career and be a first round exit as while I like Bridges, Claxton, DFS and some other pieces there really just isn't much on the roster to say they would be more than a 44 win team that at best one year gets to round 2. Might as well stay with a young Cavs team that has a chance to make consistent deep playoff runs.
The Heat could offer JJJ and some low value picks plus a solid player like Herro but I doubt the Cavs are going to think of that as enough given that Miami can only offer up 2 picks and a pick swap and their picks usually are late teens to late twenties.
The Knicks certainly have the assets and some good pieces that they can maybe flip to a third team to get more assets or better fitting pieces back to the Cavs but are they interested in. But are the Knicks interested in Mitchell? He might be redundant next to Brunson whose also a ball heavy guard.
The Lakers can only trade 2 picks and they don't have many young assets or even veteran assets that would appeal to the Cavs.
OKC is a very good team and has the trade assets to acquire nearly anyone. However if Mitchell didn't like Utah or Cleveland I doubt he's going to command his way to OKC and sign an extension.
Atlanta has the number 1 pick in a weak draft and 2 future picks they can package along with young vet pieces in Murray and Young. But with issues with two ball dominant guards in Murray and Young make me think pairing one of them up with Mitchell isn't going to do anything.
Lakers can trade 3 picks. Reaves, Rui, maybe JHS. Donovan contract isn’t high which helps teams trade for him since his contract is in the 35 million range.
For both sides I think the Heat make the most sense.
Not going to get much with a year left on his deal.

In other words, Windy ain't got nothing to offer, no more insight into the Donovan Mitchell situation than anyone else.
Yup pretty much
Windy loves to throw big accusations out there without committing to them and the ones that pan out he hangs onto like a Venus fly trap and the ones he gets wrong like “Giannis will not extend” he acts like he’s never gotten a thing wrong.
We will take spida in Miami
Chiney is stunning! 😍
Pull back a little 😂 let the guy finish the season first. Are we going to start Wemby to LA next?
Max contract? Just isn’t worth it. I see a Bradley Beal 2.0 if that happens.
Mitchell is under contract thru 2026. If he leaves Cleveland, he will sign a massive contract. Lakers don't have the $$. He will remain at Cleveland in my opinion.
