In my case I do prefer hostel kyunke mere Ghar boht shor hota hai and iski wajah se mujhse studies pe focus nhi hota

Sister i am in first year and I want to start my mdcat preparation from now..i mean I want to give the mdcat test without any preparation after my 2nd year paper just to know about the pattern of questions and for a experience..if i couldn't pass it but I will be able to know about the questions ... Can I do this I mean it will not effect my preparation? Can you please suggest me something about it

I will also suggest you to start your mdcat prep along with fsc, because after fsc you don't get much time to have a good preparation. So, you should prepare each and every topic and make sure your concepts are clear. Most of the time we leave some topics or chapters on choice in fsc because we don't get time to prepare them or the wording is too difficult for us to learn, whatever the reason is you have to learn all the chapters 100%. You not only have to clear your concepts for mdcat but also have to learn book wording. because many questions in mdcat are simple book lines and then there are also conceptual questions.
Most of the marks are deducted from physics portion. Practice as many numerical based mcqs you can to improve physics. Learn all the formulae by writing and practicing them. Also in first year chemistry, there are many numericals so also practice them.
As you are in 1st year right now, so if you prepare 1st year 100%, then after fsc when there is only 1 or 2 months to prepare you can easily revise 1st and 2nd year. Remember in 1 or 2 months you can not learn the things that you have left on choice in fsc. It is only the time to revise them. After doing fsc we mostly forget 1st year so if you start your preparation from now then you will get much time to revise multiple times and to practice multiple times.
This will neither waste your time nor affect your fsc preparation. You will also be improving your fsc preparation in this way. Lesser marks will be deducted from your physics objective portion. Also if your preparation will be the best you will also secure best marks in 1st year. You need 460+ marks in 1st year to secure a safe position in mbbs.
You should definitely give mdcat test. You will get the experience and learn about time management and also you will learn the mistakes you made in this attempt so that you don't repeat them in real test.
If you want online resources for preparation, then there is saeedmdcat webiste where you can find step, kips, stars and other accademies lectures and practice questions. I prepared from premed.pk which has chapter wise practice questions and past paper questions, they also have nums and pmc mdcat past papers and practice papers. In this year's nums test, I found that many questions were from nums and mdcat past paper. Pmc also provided 5 practice papers on portal, but did not provide the keys for papers. I found that premed.pk had uploaded the papers with keys, so in last 1 week I solved them and in actual test many questions came from practice papers and some also came from mdcat past papers and nums 2022 paper. So also prepare practice papers which pmc will upload in 3 to 4 weeks before test.
