    the us insignia on the fuselage on the left side upside down. i thought you might want to know that for future builds, other than that and the excessive panel lines i really like it and i know panel lines arent your fault for the most part

      Good pickup mate. A few of you have spotted this mistake. I was doing both sides at the same time and thought i had placed them right way up and did not even notice until after i had applied the setting liquid. ah well we live and learn and i am always learning from mistakes in this hobby. Its a shame the panel lines are over done as this is a really nice kit and a fun build.

    Greeting from Malaysia.. Gonna start building the same model soon with RMAF color scheme and decals.. Thanx for the great Mr Surfacer tips..

    Good review. I just bought two of them because they were cheap and I found an old Aztec Eagles decal sheet, so I can do one in a Mexican AF three color green/brown, and the other in a Brazilian AF blue/gray.

    Great little air plane and thanks for the Mr Surfacer tip, that's really gonna make my modelling life easier!
    Keep up the good work Wayne, greetings from Thailand.

    Ah, my favorite aircraft of all time - and you did a beautiful job on the model. What a cool cammo pattern! And the trick with Mr. Surfacer was outstanding. Nice job mate. I'll always be disappointed we didn't use these cool jets as front-line fighters - quick, cheap, easy to fly - dang politicians could screw up a wet dream. BTW - I enjoy your accent - you could just read the newspaper and put a smile on my face! Thanks, and keep up the good work.

      thanks mate. One of my favs as well. Such a sleek looking bird. LOL ...my accent can annoy some who are not used to hearing the Aussie drawl. Comments like yours make my day. Thanks again mate.

    Very good build, but it seems to me that the F-5E Aggressor haven't poles for refueling, it's poles are dedicated to Brazilian versions so the apendices on the nose also does not exist on the F-5E Aggressor this probably for Swiss F-5E

    beautiful build. love the aggressor scheme. I used an ink wash trick from one of your other videos on a 1/32 phantom and it came out beautifully. thanks.

      @scalemodelmania  Před 7 lety

      Thanks mate. That great about the ink wash. I use different washes depending on what finish i am after. I would love to see pics of your Phantom as i am a big fan of them. I have 1 on the bench half built which i will have to get back to one day.

  • @BennyCFD
    @BennyCFD Před 6 lety

    Great build as always. Just another thought. Most panels don't have fluids, tubing or tanks that leak that would give rise to streaking. Like the wing panels on your build. It gives it an eye catching look but kind of takes away from authenticity.

    • @scalemodelmania
      @scalemodelmania  Před 6 lety

      thanks mate. Its always theat artistic license thing to make it realistic or eye catching for scale. I have a love hate relationship with panel line darkening.

    Good build video. F-5 Aggressor scheme turned out wonderfully. Too bad there was no pilot figure in the kit. Keep having fun.

    Hi. Very nice assembly, I'm very impressed specially with the Mr Sufacer tip. But I could not identified the liquid you used (bottle marked "400"). Can you tell me what it is? Thanks in advance.

    • @scalemodelmania
      @scalemodelmania  Před 6 lety

      Yes that is Mr Sufacer 400. Its the leveling thinner. The 400 is just the larger size bottle. The smaller one is 110

    • @scalemodelmania

    With all the great detail work you do, how could you end up putting the star roundel on the left side of the fuselage upside down?

    • @scalemodelmania
      @scalemodelmania  Před 7 lety

      i was putting both sides on at one time and did not even notice until it was overcoated. Ah well we live and learn. Not the first mistake and won't be my last.

    These model builds are without a doubt the most boring on the internet. He just drones on about information that could be explained in 2, 3 minutes. I have tried to watch but have given up.

  • @egyeneskifli7808

    Overdone panel lines, then why have you used any kind of panel line wash? Especially why black (what is totally unrealistic in any case)? Only a bit darker base color is needed. This kind of wide lines have their own shadow, and that is suffice.
    BTW, this is a modified Italeri kit.
