    Whenever you came back here in the Philippines soon. Or if you are in The Philippines right now. You try our Train running on a road. We call it Philippine National Railways(PNR). The difference of MRT you take here, is it has a schedule on the station of PNR. The time when will the train arrive at the station. And prepare for your ears because Horns of Philippine National Railways is very loud.

    The Manila Metro Line 3 (MRT-3) that you rode have intervals of 8.5 minutes every weekdays and 9.5 minutes during Weekends. The first southbound train is at 5:30 and the last northbound train is at 22:30. The IC Card in Manila is BEEP Card that people could also recharge. The schedule is visible in Google Maps and are quite accurate.

    • @agentbond2004

      good, but not accurate. explain the 30mins - 1hr long lines during peak hours. it's like what? 3 decades already and getting worse.. nothing against you po.. it's the systems fault✌

    • @csqc2017
      @csqc2017 Před 4 lety +4

      @@agentbond2004
      Una, the line that you're referring is during peak hours. What I'm referring is in the headway between a departing train and the next arriving train in a particular station regardless of the intensity. In transport management, queues are not considered in scheduling train services and they are not quite used as an indicator of the status of the operation. The rehabilitation is ongoing that's why the service is limited to 8.5 minutes during the weekdays and 9.5 minutes.
      The design of the Line is that it was not "future-proofed" as it was intended only for the years 1990s to the 2000s and not onwards which led to the mismanagement during the Second Aquino Cabinet.
      P.S. The schedule in Google Maps are very accurate (not on a Japanese level) as I have been conducting simple experiments whether the conductor and the machinist will arrive on the station as scheduled.

      Yeah, Metro Manila Subway Line 9 and North South Commuter Rail going to Clark will be a gold standard of train lines for the Philippines in the near future. NSCR is confirmed to use same trainsets as the JR Yamanote Line.
