Tom is out here making music that could’ve been a hit in the 70s and 80s. FUNKY as hell. Whew, I can’t explain how much I love him.

Man you’re the best, I bet you are really good looking too
@@GiuliaAlemanno has a good taste in music doesnt mean he is good looking. but surely his charm is great.
Loyle Carner is simply awesome. I would love a Misch/Carner full album
that would be dope!! I agree!!
Any singer can do Carner, but not anyone can do Tom
Simon Gorton totally disagree on the loyle carner part of your statement.
@@AF-vm6xx i am not saying Carner cannot sing, he has a voice. But TM has the insight to create great songs
@@simongorton3229 you crazy my dude. Need to listen to more Loyle
Going to this concert would have been a priority on my to do list if I knew covid was bout to happen
Satisfaction living with this guys like Tom Misch, John Mayer, Mateus Asato, Joe Satriani, Kirk Franklin and some other amazing musicians.
Thanks Montreux JF for all of this years representing this generation with quality and inovation.
lmao you see kirk franklin very differently than i do
I like your list of muscians❤
Just awsome & happy to listen❤🙏🙌
That snare is what angels sound like
that back and forth between FKJ was amazing
Can’t think of a better way to spend my Friday night ❤️❤️
Me pasa lo mismo!
Wensday…
well... a good strip club with a bunch of hookers and cocaine is also not bad
Yes! My Friday after a year :)

Clearly influenced by Brazilian bossa nova and samba.. sick!!!
This one outstanding artist I’m totally in love with him
I cannot express how much I love this performance... Here's a great big thank you to everyone who made it possible!
I came across Tom Misch in 2018 and have been rocking every since , his music is in my playlist rotation everyday now, cant wait to see a live show.
I went to a performance in Toronto. You will not be disappointed!
water baby straight into crazy dream is the coolest thing tom does with his live performances
That part
Had absolutely NO IDEA Loyle Carner was gonna be there! What a surprise!!
Finally we have a proper bootleg of losing my way
Jordan Raksi first and now Tom Misch. Brilliant
Just true, raw talent. No overproduced vocals or effects. Love it!
Obviously Tom was brilliant as always, but I just wish the sound engineer had given the bass guitar more prominence, as it’s incredibly central to Tom’s songs.
Agree!
at the beginning was good, then they changed it and started being a crap the sound of the bass (that's my sensation as sound engineer)
But at a concert the bass sound different than in the retransmission
Laps. It’s remixed for the Video. This is not the live mix
I think the bass is there but it's super low. You need a good speaker, headphone, or iem that can go really low and have a good detail.
I'm curious what bass guitar or effect that he use to get that super low bass tone. It's one of the lowest bass guitar tone I've heard.
I think it was good more volume would’ve ruined it listen to it with headphones and if even then you think it’s low I don’t know what to tell you my friend
What a great thing to do, acknowledging the african american contribution to the jazz fest by donating the proceeds to the museum!
I’ve never watched a set and been so jealous for not being there live in my whole life
It's good to see how real music survives with this talented young generation of artists. I'm so impressed and happy by this.
Me Too!
My neck almost broke cause listening to this damn!
You’re listening in the correct way then ;)
Doing the Joe Dart, huh?
Ok? Woke me up out of my sleep jamming!
@@SweetSpotGuitar Had to Google that one, LOL. :D
Lmao same
I took my my two teenagers to see the Tom Misch Gig on Perranporth beach at the weekend. Of all the bands I have seen over the years, it was one of the funkiest and most musically sharp things I have seen, its also opened my children's eyes to the joys of real music by supremely talented musicians....
50:14 the dude was going so hard, his cymbal disappeared
Just saw that. BAHAHA. One of the worst feelings as a drummer.
OMG HAHAHAHA
Why did I finally find out? ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
These guys are on to something, great instrumentals and music composition. who said a violin has no place in contemporary music. I hope these guys bring this music across the pond. I believe they can be the next music revolution, like the Beatles did in the 60's.
Tom already has, and is already incredibly popular in America. It’s a shame that some of our best musicians/singers are virtually unknown in Britain, for example Tom Misch, Lianne La Havas, Ella Mai, Jorja Smith, Mahalia, Michael Kiwanuka, to name a few.
agreed! i'm ready for the jazz/neo-soul renaissance!!
Some acid jazz acts from UK that 'invades' in the late 80s to early 90s features string section on some of their funky musics. Most prominently Jamiroquai, followed by Incognito and Brand New Heavies.
The energy Carner and Misch bring to the stage is the best mood there is.
this crazy awesome!!!
waited so long for the whole concert!
Loyle Carner killed it 🔥🔥🔥
I remeber him playing this big hip-hop festival in front of 10-20 people..
way you go tom! montreux Jazz Festival is actually under the top3 to reach as a musician in Europe/WesternWorld

Now anyone can see with their own eyes how groove this boy has !
Such an amazing vibe. Disco yes!
Love it
Beautiful tone, Tom!
Your music makes me happy. Thank you!
I'm not going to compare Tom Misch to another artist but I will share that his music gives me the same feels that: Sade, D'Angelo, Prince, early days of N-E-R-D, Maxwell, Lauryn Hill, Tony Toni Toné / Raphael Saadiq, early days Common, The Roots.... does to me. Let's GO!
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👍🏾
