The Catholic faith is universal. There is no such thing as Filipino Catholicism. The teachings of the faith are clearly written in the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

The Catholic Faith in the Philippines is dying. Masses might still be full but majority of them don't know the Catholic Faith.
Card Tagle is a modernist same with majority of the Bishops and priests in the Philippines.

It's actually getting a new revival with the actions of the Catholic Faith Defenders across the Visayas and Mindanao. The dissemination of proper Catholic doctrine, not just pastoral but also in apologetics to defend against anti-Catholic attacks, is unprecedented in the history of Filipino Catholicism thanks to the help of social media.

Expect that when the Catholic education is hijacked by the public school system copied from Protestant America. When the world is getting secular, many of those poorly catechized, esp. in public schools where majority are schooled due to poverty, will also follow secularism (think of the Satan-influenced UN, WHO). It's your job to go to the peripheries and catechized these poorly catechized baptized Catholic. Instead of fighting and blaming the Pope, Cardinals and Bishops, and copying the confused Europeans & Americans (esp. those highly influenced by Protestantism who worships division), do your part as a laity to bring the people back to Jesus' flock.

      Disagree.
Catholicism is embedded in Filipino culture.
500 years of Christianity in Philippines survived many challenges and persecution.
In my parish there is free Sunday school for children and there are proactive activities to ensure continuity.
You tube vloggers like Adrian Milag and Dr. Gonzalo Ditching and also Fr. Darwin Gitgano also have significant Catechism contents.

The distorted interpretation of Vatican 2 is the reason why these modernists including the present pope is the reason why the Traditional Teaching of the Church is under siege...Pope Benedict XVI realised this that's why he published Summorum Pontificum...where he said, "WHAT EARLIER GENERATIONS HELD SACRED, REMAIN SACRED AND GREAT FOR US TOO, AND IT CANNOT BE ALL OF A SUDDEN ENTIRELY FORBIDDEN OR HARMFUL." but this present pope blames the traditional catholics as "causing divisions" whom he called "backwardist".....but on the other hand he supports liberal and immoral clerics like fr.james martin, sj and he also elevate as cardinals bishops who supports same sex unions....if Filipino clerics support this so called synodality by this present pope ...they support not the true teaching of the Church handed down by the Apostles but the modernists and leftist marxist.

Catholic in name only. Majority do not understand the faith.
