With that being said, me and my perfect credit will stay with my 2019 Grand Sport. I bought it brand new with Zero percent financing back in January 2020 when they were trying to get rid of them for the C8s.
A lot of dealers still think pandemic shortages are in effect and are unwilling to come back to reality with pricing. They had their fun and made their money during that period, now it's time for deals again!
Irony... All my life i wanted a Vette, but when I could afford it...i had kids and logistics weren't there...then my kids move out..and its the perfect time to buy one...and this is my favorite iteration...but now I just cant justify dropping 80 to 100k on a car with limited use...oh well
The base price went up $9,000.00 in 4 years for basically the same car as in 2020. I currently have a 2017 (my 5th corvette) but will be looking at something else to replace it.
Dealers have to start discounting these cars or they will just sit . Its that simple . And i know many that are but places like Ciocca Macmulkin still only sell at MSRP ..and thats just too high

I’d luv to buy a brand new C8. As a matter of fact, I was even customizing my Z06 options on the Chevrolet website recently. But I was just fantasizing because the prices are so high that I can’t reasonably spend 90,000 and up on a car. Not even my beloved Vette. So I guess i’ll just keep driving my C5 a little longer and eventually buy a used C8 when they dip below $50,000. That’ll probably “only” be 10 years from now 😝

I hear you. I have a '17 Z06 M7 vert. I love that rawness and low end torque. I've read some who traded their C7Z for a C8Z miss that low end pull. Plus, our cars have better reliability IMO.

When you make 20k+ a year and its due for a refresh in 6 months, no way is it going to stay at msrp. Used 2020s should be in the low 50k range or lower, there are no shortages anywhere.
If things were normal 2020 c8s would be in the low 50s, but since so many people bought those cars over msrp, dealers can't lower but so much because they over paid for them.
Not sure what area your in but our dealers around my neck of the woods can’t keep one of these cars on their lot , they are selling them as soon as they hit the lot, just seen a Lamborghini traded in for a used 2023 c8….
They have been out for awhile where I'm from they flooded the market with them used ones are going at reasonable prices the C7s Z06s are going for high prices especially if it's a manual transmission
I am just in sales but for over 10 years. We definitely lose thousands selling some cars. Not saying at the end of the month adding in parts and service we ever lost money but definitely lose money on a lot of cars and my paycheck shows that!!
My Z06/Z07 is being built, but not sure I want to wait until next year to see how much prices drop. Paperwork is not done so I could back out, but I'm not sure the wait is worth it.

Cost of gas nationwide might affect why there are so many sitting around not getting scooped up. Let an administration come in that will allow domestic drilling and gas production and with prices going down, we'd see these flying off the shelves again.

The Z51 is better than the Z06. The z06 is over nannied too many cut ins by GM. Go into a corner and hit 1G lose half the horsepower. There’s not enough fuel with one fuel pump, so you’ll either blow up your cats or lose an engine. GM was too cheap to put in 2 fuel pumps
