You have a beautiful garden. Thanks for naming the flowers, I have a few in my cart because of what you shared.
I absolutely love Sun King Aralia! I have them dotted around the shady parts of my borders, and boy do they glow against a dark green background of arborvitae or the dark foliage of Diablo nine bark. Your pulmonaria look gorgeous; mine look like Swiss cheese...some bug's getting to them. I really enjoyed the tour!
Thank you! Yes, Sun King is becoming a favorite. I wish there were also a dwarf version I could tuck into tight spots. They do get quite large!
In the past few days my Trevi Fountain Pulmonaria has developed signs of slug damage. I put down some iron oxide bait today so hopefully that stops the little buggers.
You should make a little "soft landing" for insects under your front tree
Thanks, for sharing. Really enjoyed seeing all your plants. You have a big variety of plants which your hard work is evident . 👍
Video and audio quality are great sis! Can't wait to get my camera in your garden in a couple months. 😊
Beautiful looking garden with lots of pollinator plants, They are the bees knees.
You love the heuchera huh. I love it too.
Greetings from the Nederlands. ❤
Yes I am a sucker for beautiful foliage. And heuchera are colorful all season long! Thanks for watching all the way from the Nederlands! 😊
How do you stop the rabbits and squirrels from decimating your plants? It's a constant battle for me. I have so many of my garden plants surrounded by rabbit fencing and they are still wreaking havoc. The squirrels are now eating my Lady of Shallot rose buds.
There is a large feral cat population in the neighborhood and I think they keep the rabbit numbers down. I only really see rabbit damage in the winter when food is scarce and they might be willing to take more risks. The squirrels used to wreak havoc for me too but since we had the two large spruce trees taken out in the spring they haven't been an issue. I think those trees were an escape route and now they have nothing in the yard to climb up in case of danger. I mostly just see them scrounging for seed under the bird feeders now. They even left my tulips alone this spring. Nothing ever worked for me with squirrels except putting rocks around plants they liked to dig up.
My neighbor feeds the stray cats in our area ... they poop in my flower bed. sigh. I'm trying a host of remedies.
I tried Repels-All but that didn't work either. I would like to start feeding the one female cat that hangs around again but she is the main poop culprit. I might try to create an alternative litterbox in the scruffy corner of the yard to see if that works.
Revive granular works. You can use it on turf, and the garden areas. Apply it on all areas. Once a month utilize it on the parameter of your lawn/garden. It will keep all cats, dogs, rabbits, deer, raccoons, squirrels, etc. at bay. I personally love the visitors. They bring me presents, trees, shrubs,... the squirrels assist in deadheading tall trees (ash) come fall. They team up to accomplish this, form a pile of leaves, and jump and tumble around. They warn me of snakes, unwelcome visitors. They ask for help when one of their young has fallen or stuck in a tree afraid to come back down, and they need assistance. I just talk them down. They are very respectful of my property and me, as I am with them. The trees, shrubs, flowers they bring ~ gorgeous! I make sure there are food sources available in my landscape and fresh water.
“The flowers in the garden are so abundant and colorful that I can’t take my eyes off them. I enjoyed it!”
Love that! Thank you! 😊
