This is an incredible collection and I love how it’s organised but I just keep thinking what a waste it seems, most make up once opened only has a shelf life of like 6-12 months, there’s no way all of that would get used 😩

Totally agreed. Love Desi SO MUCH, but no one person needs this much makeup. Could go to someone in need and possibly make their day.
I think it’s more of a collection because of her love to makeup she also mentions that she knows most must be expired but it’s more of a collection to her! Love the idea of that
A lot of them seem to be unopened but you have a great point. To me it's anxiety inducing hell not heaven haha Such a waste of product. I try to pass things I rarely or never use onto friends and family or sell them online for that reason with a way smaller collection.
@@sarabloch7342 it's her job to have this much makeup. considering makeup influencers like real normal ppl ofc makes it seem like hoarding. and they give a lot of their makeup away still. even pro makeup artists have collections like this. its inevitable lol.
This is beautifully organized but I can’t help thinking: what a waste! I get sick when I have to throw away a lipstick because it has been open for more than a year…I know it’s your job but I’m quite sure there are product is these jars that haven’t been used for a while. Anyway great organization job 👏
Just bought my first full size bottle of high-end perfume at the age of 35 (a lil late in life some might say but I was stuck in my 20s what can I say!!)
Anyway, I bought Black Opium by YSL!!! I had gotten a sample in a Sephora order and I was smelling the tiny empty vial for weeks after it was gone - that's when I knew I had to buy the full size! I have never loved a scent so much that I felt compelled to spend the kind of $$ that goes with those high-end fragrances... Until Black Opium! 🥰 It's just... Mmm mmm!
I wear it if I'm having a bad mental health day, even if I'm staying home. It does wonders for my mood. Truly a magical scent. 🖤

Omg Desy I Miss your videos so much, but I have to speak my mind and say that nowadays my own -tiny in comparisson collection- feels ridiculous. Life has changed so much, this year and a half made me re think about things, owning things and letting go of things in order to be able to give my energy to life itself…
I am in the same boat, watching people own obscene amounts of anything (I know it’s her job so this is different) just reminds me that I never want to be like this. Owning a few things that we love instead of piles of crap is so much more fulfilling. Experiences are greater than stuff!

So how long does everyone keep their makeup? Excluding collector items
I keep my powder products like eye shadow palette, blush, bronzer until they change texture, smell or stop performing well. Cream products and mascaras etc go bad faster so I try to get rid of mascara every 6-9 months

I too refuse to declutter my UD naked palettes. They were my first higher end eyeshadow palettes back in 2013. Very sentimental as I remember how extremely excited I was when I bought them. What storage did you use for this? I really like your setup as you can see everything. Love your makeup stash.
