I said the same as started watching 1st few minutes. I went to IMDB & saw it's the same producers of XO, Kitty & To All The Boys. Totally here for it! I'm partway thru the film right now.
I can’t tell you how excited I am for this!! 🥳 This book was so amazing and I’m so ready to see more Asian (specifically Taiwanese) representation onscreen as a Taiwanese American myself!

Literally JUST came back from a semester abroad in Taipei... and recognising some of the places.. it just brings back so many memories.. elephant mountain, the beach, I am pretty sure I also walked that white bridge... soo awesome

FINALLY SHOWING MORE ASIANS!!! I want really culturally specific references and jokes that need to be explained to me. And I am happy to read subtitles so I hope multiple Asian languages are spoken in the film.
I know this is based on loveboat, taipei, but I'm so glad the movie ended with Ever and Xavier (long haired) instead of Rick like in the books. Ever and Xavier had such good chemistry in the books, so I'm happy!

Hahaha nice I did Loveboat back in the day. It was pretty much what she said - cultural program but a ridiculous amount of fun. The people who go there are a lot less white than shown in the movie, but thats fine its a movie
too much xavier in this trailer for me, if I didn't read the book I'd think he's ever's main love interest ....... but still looking very much forward to this since I loved both books
korea where hardest thing is to speak english and same goes for taiwan but still this director is sick about sending back immigrants to this their national college/institution/high school and convert it into full english speaking college.
