The intro playing as Zach has to be one of the best surprises this game could’ve given us.

Dont EVER be sorry for being you. 40 year old here, and I've cried like 8 times and I'm not even past Choco Farm yet, lol. Also, thought the opening sounded a bit like XIII as well. Anyways, looking forward to seeing the rest of the ride
39 here, and I remember playing the original on PC in 1998, in 1/4 screen, 320x240 because our video card couldn't handle any more, and it STILL blew my mind.

I’m just reaching the last chapter a few hours ago. I was not ready lol I cry over silly stuff, so this game really messed me up and I still have hours to go yet 😂 game of the decade material. The next few years are really going to go painfully slow while we wait for the conclusion.
Pause and press Square to enter Photo Mode. Can even be during a cutscene. Then getting the shot you want will be easier 😊
How does photo mode work on performance mode? Will it be blurry and jagged all over the place?
I don't have PS. I'm still waiting for the PC port. Because photo mode on remake is tied to your game graphic settings.

What im still trying to figure out is they mentioned one member they couldnt find from the destruction was a ex soldier with a buster sword. I can only imagine its Cloud but then Cloud is there with Zack.
Are we merging timelines? A character Zach meets later (no spoilers) sort of reinforces this theory but its just a theory.

@iceman10129 I'm watching Dood's playthrough since I don't have a ps5 and I don't think we've discovered it yet.
My main idea (spoilers ahead)
Is that Biggs is either dead or transfered to another timeline that broke off after the battle with the whispers. Sephy's manipulation of the whispers is making things worse in this off shoot time line for some reason.
Either that or this is a manifestation of the lifestream which means Marleen is dead and I'm not sure I follow through with that theory 🤔

It feels like there must be more than two timelines...? Like, if Zack knew Aerith was gone in this one as soon as he entered Midgar, why would he still go looking for her at the church?
Yea it's probably more than two. The timeline we saw in the previous game with Zack is not the same one we saw at the beginning of this game
What I'm trying to figure out is, did they already retcon the scene with Zack heading into the church from the Intermission DLC? With this intro, there isn't a chance for that to happen anymore.

I don't think I can get into these different time lines. The first one I ever played was FF7 remake and the ending was confusing. This opening has ruined it for me, not you Sarah. It seemed to me at the end of FF7 that Zack was alive but Cloud was with him but in a different time line. . I now see what is going on and it totally ruins it for me. There are no stakes when you introduce different time lines and I want my tears back.
Sucks for you. Since what you think, is wrong from what it actually is, and you are robbing yourself from one of Squares greatest games.
