When u realize Helios' statue is more of a challenge than the actual Helios

I remember being scared as shit out of Colossus. A giant statue coming to life and slowly coming at me was creepy. Still, I loved this fight, a lot. Definitely one of the most badass bosses in GOW.

I played this game a few times, and now I'm on vacation in Rhodes and just now realised how big the Colossus is when I saw the port and the old town in person, it makes the game even cooler to really be here

that stomp forced me to stop playing gow2 at the time when i was like 7-8 years old cuz when i get scared i literally freak out and my heart rate would increase and eventually would run out of breath. but i fell in love with the blades of chaos and blade of olympus cuz its really cool so i still played it

I personally consider GOW 2 as the best part of this legendary franchise. Character development was on top, graphics and everything for that time from GOW 1 to GOW 2 was a huge evolution and brings back many childhood memories, and practically GOW 1-2 are my whole childhood along with other games like GTA and Prince of Persia. Some people tend to forget how epic was to play young savage Kratos back then, even some folks didn't finish GOW 1 and 2
Gow Ghost of Sparta is a Great Prequel for Gow 2

I agree, it's my personal favorite too, GoW 3 was very good, it was the payoff for the series, but GoW 2 was perfect.
For everyone who doesn't know, the lyrics of the chanting for this boss fight are cheering on the Colossus, and pleading for it to save them from Kratos.
God damn kratos is strong 3:32 ,he launched the statue back several thousand feet like a looney tunes character ,no wonder he could resist the titans strength
The Spartans advance too quickly. At the beginning of the siege they were on the coast and later they arrived almost at the same time as Kratos where the sword was.
when you realize the theme song in the back is singing against you in Greek! still one of the best fights in GOW

One of the few times Kratos was a fool. He would have been able to defeat the Colossus without the Blade of Olympus, but he was blinded by power.

It's not a god of war game without epic giant boss fight right at the start of the game. No one can match the OG trilogy when it comes to boss fights.
In Gow Ghost of Sparta we had to fight a Giant creature too.

I love how Ghost of Sparta explained why Kratos started attacking random cities. He was so disgusted and ticked off at the gods for what they did to Deimos, that he took his anger out on all the cities that worshipped them. Dude was trying to burn down the entirety of Greece for what they did to his brother. Glad Ghost of Sparta explained this, cause when 2 first came out it just looks like he went mad with power when thats not the case at all
Fun fact:
In the God of War 2 Novel, it is said that the Gods become weaker when too many worshippers die. This is another reason why Kratos started destroying the cities that worshipped the Gods of Olympus

Of all of these wonders, 4 were destroyed by earthquake, 2 were destroyed by fire, and only ONE is currently standing!
