I Covered My ENTIRE Wall In PAINT SWATCHES..

  • Today I covered my entire wall in paint swatches, pantone cards all over the wall to make a rainbow style background. I've painted many murals in my time but this was something very different and it was SO fun. I saw something similar on Tik Tok where they went to home depot and covered their wall in paint swatches, but I wanted to try it with pantone! Let me know what you think!

    In my house hunting I looked at a house that had nails driven into every wall of one bedroom so close together that I couldn't fathom what they possibly could've been hanging. This definitely wasn't it, but I bet the holes left behind from this project will be just as confusing to anyone seeing the room without the cards on the walls. XD

    It does look really cool! I personally would have cut all of the white bits off so they were all colored squares, and then I'd probably start in the corner and diagonally make the gradient so it ran from that upper left corner town to the bottom right. I'd have also used velcro dots so then if I ever wanted to change them around, they are easy to remove and switch.

    • @freakyfro99
      @freakyfro99 Před 2 lety +31

    In a rental, this isn't a good idea because filling all these holes before move out would be the worst. The showing of the pentone bugs my brain. I think that looks great!!! Awesome idea! And I like the order you put them in better than the way they were going to be …. It was definitely worth your time and effort.

    Hey just curious, I noticed you said the wall dimensions in feet and inches (imperial system) with your accent I assumed you would have done the metric system! Do you typically use the metric system? The result was amazing by the way

      I’m English and usually use ft and inches, a lot of people do :) Chloe does live in America, and from what I know, pretty much always has, so it would make sense in that way too

      She lives in the United States, (and has for quite a while) which may be why she used imperial measurements

      She's English (UK) born, but has been living in the US since she was a kid. She has just never lost the accent like most do.

    I've always wondered what it would look like it I got loads of paint samples and painted the wall with them :) this gives me an idea! Looks very cool

    Pro tip. when putting the tacs on the wall... use a pair of plyers to hold them and the hammer to push them in. If you don't want to use a hammer... a sewing kit has this really neat thing called a thimble.... ;)
