Lucky?? You can’t be serious. The bull got up with almost 600 kg of lions on his shoulder; after 20 minutes of struggling the lions where dead tired while the bull had still huge amount of energy. He’s stronger than the lions, pure and simple.
If someone is lucky those are just the lions not to end up stabbed by the bull ( in fact they ran away )
This is the perfect example of sheer power and brut strength.
That was astonishing. The bull just stood up and shook them off.
The bull was interviewed after this epic battle:
Bull: Well, everybody needs a hobby.

I don't know what our fascination with lions is. They so often lose. Bulls are the resilient ones.

Pretty Prudent Well those were the females, and they aren't half as good as the males when it comes to power and strategy, also note that lions would've overheated if they spent too much effort, thus the prey escaped.If you actually consider how lions survive in the tough wildlife of Africa then you can see how people are fascinated by them.

Females are bad compared to the males, they usually hesistate to attack their prey in fear of being goared, the males take the full risk and end up getting a buffalo for breakfast, something 3 lionesses hardly can do. Watch some videos about how a pack of lionesses hesistate to attack a clan of hyenas, while one single adult male lion will simply make them disappear. The difference in weight between the average African lioness and lion is 100Kg, (males being 250kg, while females 150kg). Male lions are no joke, they can scare a herd of buffaloes alone.

How is playing safe and looking for the perfect moment to avoid injury not strategic? If anything, the way you describe it makes the males appear to be stupid (nor saying males are stupid, just that you make them appear stupid). And female lions can (and do) kill buffalo without male help: it seems to be something they do regardless of which sex is involved.
And yes, hyenas fear male lions more than females, but that has more to do with size rather than males being any smarter.
TLDR: you have a terrible understanding of what “strategic” means, and you seem to assume raw strength equals greater intelligence.
