    Appreciate the video, but would recommend using a plastic trim removal tool to avoid marring the dashboard. Also noting that it's possible to short out the aux cable insert sensor instead of buying a new one.

    Do you absolutely have to remove the 12V port first? Thanks for stating that it's not necessary to go through the glove box (which another video did and made it look like a hassle).

      Yes, i believe it is because the 12v port holds the aux port in place. If you look closer, there's a little tab that extends to the other side.

      @@yeehaw3098 right -- once I got started, I figured it out. Everything went smoothly, and the new aux port is working great with zero problem getting the 12V back in after replacing it.
