    ive just got me a Fender blues junior
    i love it, it takes overdrive pedals quite nicely too

    I bought the champ, it’s nice, surprisingly nice cleans to around 3. My only issue is that even at 5 watts it is very loud wide open for my bedroom. Unfortunately to get that iconic tweed sound it has to run fairly loud.

      Not a fair comparison. They mic'ed the champ with a sennheiser e609 and put a fathead ribbon mic in front of the deluxe. That ribbon mic is gonna sound a lot darker than the sennheiser. Don't know why they couldn't have just put a ribbon mic in front of both.

      In his Defense though, the Deluxe is just a lot bigger sounding than the Champ. I have built and have both and after playing through my Deluxe, the champ sounds like playing through a clock radio. Small cab+small speaker=small sound.

      @tedmen1123 Před 6 lety

      Those amps have the same parts made from 2007-2012 except the speaker. I have an original reissiue. Mine has a Jensen speaker like the original tweeds, mercury mag trannys, and all handwired, 12ay7 like originals, pine cab, and the yellow caps. The speakers in the new reissues look just like the "custom eminence design" that come in all the cheaper fender amps like my blues deluxe did(changed it to a cannabis rex, much much better). Which honestly the designed for fender made by eminence speakers are not bad at all, but not as good as a celestion blue, a weber jensen clone, or any other eminence. Fender should have took the time to put an appropriate speaker in these amps, instead of just sticking the same old stuff. Fender should drop the EDGE amp and put a celestion blue in these reissues. That's what most people did back in the day anyways when they blew the original paper cone jensens, and either couldnt find a replacement or like the celestions better.

      I’m willing to bet a lot of that break up is simply due to the fact that the deluxe has a bigger speaker. Leo fender I’m assuming didn’t do much different to the circuit of a the 5e3 compared to the 5f1 aside from the microphone input and extra inputs and volume. Leo fender was about production he wanted to simplify things so I’m guessing they are extremely similair in wiring

Learn from Paul - he's a good pitch man. Maybe rehearse a bit what you're going to cover in the preso. You need to relax and show more enthusiasm. Make it fun.
