- Here is the seventh edition with "Johnny, I Hardly Knew Ya" from the new DKM CD. Funny how it is an anti-war song...
The cutscene is from the PS2 game Dirge of Cerberus!
Note that, as with the others, there was actually no editing involved-it is all coincidental! - Zábava
I have to say this on this feed now and then: I was in a psychiatric hospital once for three months. This video was my morning ritual every morning to get through it.
I remember you posting that a while back! Blows my mind. So happy to hear this silly little thing has helped someone. Hope you're well!

Terrific job there. The music was linked together with the cutscene almost perfectly in parts. As the music picked up after the first and second verses, my spine shivered at how the action also sped up. Well done.

The music fits this Full motion video like a glove!
It's amazing if you think it's not edited!

0:25, 0:40, 1:00, the pause at 1:22, 1:45, 1:59, 2:22, the chorus at 2:41, tempo change at 3:00, 3:27, 3:29, and on matchd almost perfectly

This is taken from "Final Fantasy 7 : Dirge of Cerberus", a third-person shooter spin-off. This is a cinematic when the protagonist lauch an attack to retake Midgar, It is in line with the Final Fantasy "Advent Children" movie, though I'm unsure if the events take place before or after the movie. The 3D character designs seen in this clip were directly taken from Advent Children however.
bloody hell mates, that was awesome, the canon part and everything
epic timing man 1 of my fav song on youtube
the title is right there! How can you not see it!
FF7 was the first graphically-enhanced, higher budget production, had great music, by far the best minigames, and still had many of the elements of the best games in the series. That's why it had such hype.
Goram, this is one badass song! great vid
DUDE! THIS IS BEYOND EPIC!
I got shivers when I saw this the first time :D
This video is amazing! I love this song and FF...though I never played this one ._.
nice one! youre good ! keep up the good work!
Gah, just watching Vincent come outta there on that hoverboard with his cape all swinging around badass music and asplosions going on in the background, makes my eyes bleed... with awesomesauce.
nice video !! fits very goood ;) nice job dude !!
I think the cutscene designers that made this one are hardcore fans of this song...
CUZ IT'S FRIGIN PERFECT!
dood. i love you. this is the most epic shit ive ever seen. the best parts were when they first launched the issles and when yuffie and the others jumped out the plane cuz you hit the timing perfect with the chorus. i almost threw up watching it because it was so awesome O.o
nice work!
Think of this song as being sung TO Vincent, by, say, Lucrezia. It fits him perfectly. She talks about how he is so different, and hardly the same person anymore, and that he's lost a huge part of himself. This battle is a kind of homecoming for Vincent, hence "I'm happy for to see ya home, huroo, huroo..."
Amazing... Awesome!... INCREDIBLE! *o*
this song gives me cravings for guinness hmmm:D:D
very good song/movie mix the one who made this combo should be proud ^^
Great Vid.. even Better Song Epic Match to the vid!! you Did Great !!!

That was sweet... I almost was able to do something like this one time with samurai warriors 2, but i couldn't time the start right. =/

I would've never guessed that you can successfully combine DKM music with FF vid, and then...
Great =)
The song is called 'Johnny, I hardly knew ya" by The Dropkick Murphys.

this is AWESOME
i have that game and it kicks massive ass. and with this song the video of the attack is even cooler
i love this video its awesome
It's always been that way. Look at Final Fantasy 2! By today's standards it may seem outdated (it was just a Super Nintendo game) but during the course of the game you see two cities bombed into the ground, tanks blasting an underground tower, and a massive three-way battle between the Red Wings, the dwarven war machines, and a giant, ten-story tall walking robot.
great vid
great video. lol at 1:12... its solid snake!
0:00 click that if you know whats good for 'ya.
realy amazing!
Brilliant!
OMFG!! AWESOME!!
this reminds me soooo much of the new game lost planet 2... great game btw
the intro is epicly timed (even tho it apparantly is coincidental :P)
FF7 is one of most epic games out there the graphic were amazing for its time ppl wanted more so they came out with FF7 DoC and the movie advent children, they have came a long way. this song was a great choice for this video grats
The songwriter remains anonymous;it dates to the early 1800's in Ireland and is an anti-war and anti-recruitment song. The British East India Company sent troops, many from Co. Kildare, into SE Asia including Ceylon. Those who made it home were often blind, mutilated and crippled. The song When Johnny Comes Marching Home borrowed the tune, and changed the outcome of the entire story.
love it
scary how well this song fits...
perfect footage for the song
let me say this this is FRICKIN AWESOME!!!
This isn't a movie, this is a cutscene from a game.
omg i know EXACTLY how you feel
thats totally what it was like when i first put this together and every subsequent time i watch it too
No way! I'm honored!
this makes me happy
dirge of cerberus! love this game!!!
Wow, great video. I don't even like FF, but this is just plain awesome.

Fantástico... perfeito!

And the song fits like a glove to the actuall cutscene. it's almost amazing. Maybe the creators of the game thought that "Hey, there's probably an awesome irish anti-war song that fits perfectly with this cutscene, so let's edit it to fit to, let's see. Eenie meenie miny mo THIS song.
nice vid
