Why must we keep graveyards so damn depressing? Graveyards were originally made to celebrate lives and represent parks. When i’m dead I HOPE people visit where I lay & have fun around me.
also in a lot of cultures death is just a part of life and the days dedicated to dead people are not a way to commemorate the dead person in a sad way, but to remember their life with good memories and “celebrate” them
i love this comment
Fr tho if I die I’d be happy if someone tapped my grave for a ASMR video then said thank you, I’d rather have someone be happy near my grave instead of crying near it
Fr tho, I’d be happy as hell if other people hung out near my gravestone (as long as they be respectful to it, so like no breaking it), in some ways it even sounds really nice to know that other people who had no relation to you during your life still notice you

Oh wow I didn’t know that that’s actually really cool
thanks for sharing :)
Imma keep it real...he didn’t go to a modern cemetery. I live around the same area as him and there are a lot of historical graveyards/cemeteries where there are historical sections where the only visitors are people who come in to do the paper and crayon grave rubbing thing. If he was in a modern cemetery and was visiting people who died within recent years with fresh flowers on their graves, then sure, super rude...but these people who passed in 1900 are not getting visitors.
finally, I’ve found someone who shares the same opinion as me!
Agreed.
What’s the difference? Visitors or not, everyone should be respected. And he IS being respectful here so I don’t see the problem.
@@pastelcorpse3580 Of course generally everyone should be respected in both life and death, I was just noting that if he did it at a more modern cemetery where there was a chance someone’s daughter or brother or whatever was coming to visit their fresh grave, crying their eyes out, and arrived just to see him filming it and whispering, “ok miss ghost!” that they might not have the same appreciation, lmao 😭 I just meant that I think it was a responsible choice to film in a quieter cemetery where the pain of mourning may not be as fresh.
@@pastelcorpse3580 being disrespectful is defacing the property in which he IS NOT 🙄 him making jokes and tapping isnt causing any harm relax
there is a very old and historic cemetery in my town. amazing place. i go frequently just to look around. i don’t touch anything and try to avoid stepping on graves but when the graveyard is older and has less order, it’s hard to not. i go to just read the graves and look around at the scenery. i really don’t think there’s anything wrong with this. it’s also a historic cemetery so no family will be there. the graves are from the 1800s and it’s with good intentions.
People: *Why disrespect*
Dean: gives the dead souls asmr
Personally, I think it’s nice to shed some light on tombstones that most likely don’t get as many visitors. The ones shown were from long ago. As a side note, the little stones are likely due to having less money than those with larger tombstones, animals are not typically buried among humans in graveyards.
i think a lot of the small tombstones are for infants. my brother passed away due to a miscarriage very late on, and he has one of those small stones
Oh well I've seen some graveyards in my place (I only visited 2 till now) burying animals with humans, I didnt know that was the case for you guys! Interesting.
The really big ones are usually not one person bit a family then the family members will be buried around it.
Hes tapping on random peoples gravestones and walking over them-
If he tould what happened to the people that died then its ok, but he acted like they were some stuff that he found in his room and tapped on them.
I was expecting a "sassy" one or many jokes. But this was actually respectful and appropriate, and sweet he thanked the gravestones. The only disrespect was towards History dates lmao

so i live right by a cemetery and let me tell u first going there i had the stigma in my mind that it’s “creepy” or bad to be going there, but as time went on i grew on to it . i could get out alone (wether i rly needed to get out of my house or just needed some fresh air) and look at all the stones dating all the way back to 1790 !! i’ve done research on some of these people and have really admired a lot of them . now bc of the dumb snow i haven’t been there in a bit and tbh it makes me feel bad ... almost like i left that small cemetery alone for a while . no one ever visits it either :(

8:36 an anchor on a tombstones represents Hope and Steadfast. Usually, the tombstones with anchors on it means that the person who died was a sailor.
10:31 people get different size gravestones because not everyone can afford the big ones. The huge fancy gravestones with all the pretty details are super expensive. (Gravestones can get up to $30,000+) Not everyone is super rich so they will just settle with a small gravestone.

Personally, I don’t think this specific graveyard is offensive. If he did it to fresh graves sure I’d understand it being offensive but these are from like the 1900s, none of their family members will be upset, they’re dead too
“Their dead too” dang
Just because their all dead doesn’t mean they can’t be respected either? I hate Gen Z kids
@@yungdiddy475 no, I think what they meant by "they're dead too" was that these gravestones likely haven't been visited in a long time by anyone
”1918 is when the cold war happened” wrong war sis
The fact that he said “omg this gravestone is not small I wonder if it was for a cat or dog!”
Or maybe it was for a less fortunate family that could only afford a small headstone.
This one is rated “N” for “not everyone is going to like this”

Personally I don’t really see how this is offensive hes not being rude or disrespectful to the tombstones in anyway and he’s showing repsoect towards them
saying that someone was probably a cat is...😒
@@rnelan1e he said he didn’t know if it was, it’s not like he said it intentionally..
Stan
Exactly!
@@rnelan1e He didn't mean any intention by it. Smaller tomb stones can be for literally anyone, he might've not known much about tomb stones prior to doing this video. And people do bury their animals in the graveyard so :/
“I’m not to sure how graveyards work.”
LMAO
Mans really gave the dead some tapping asmr. He can tap on my grave when I pass. I'd like some asmr as a ghost
Maybe I’m weird but I don’t find this disrespectful at all 🤣
Right!
Saaaameee
I grew up in Salem, MA, and I've seen tourists who are infinitely more disrespectful, littering, over crowding, damaging stones. This is totally fine

Me neither
the ghost: Which war did u just say bro
Bruh that graveyard looks ancient the people laying there dont even know y theres sum kid with a microphone tapping on em. How would u explain asmr to them?
they def had asmr they just didn’t have youtube
A tingling feeling in your spine or head is a good way to explain it
y’all are so sensitive. this video was amazing. the purpose was to give asmr and you did that ✅. period.
I love how he refers to the graves as ✨vintage✨
