Do you happen to have the link for the tiles you used for this project? Or my main concern, is there a certain thing i need to look out for when purchasing tile so that I don’t ruin my machine?

I've tried with paint, totally not necessary and typically gums up the etched part of the tile. Best way is to just etch it. It's tile and you're going to have to use a marker to make it show up and IPA will remove this.
I agree. The reason I like the tap is one reduces the reflective service and two I can just use spray paint without having to clean up with IPA I just remove the tape and done.
@@montanamaker4189 tape works great for graphics but not so well with halftones (photographic images).
When I do engrave I don't get the option for pattern density....why??
That could depend on the file format. On a Glowforge you can only do photo engrave and choose vary power if you are using a PNG or JPEG file format. With vector files you don’t get the option to 3D engrave.
What type of tape are you referring to?
