Hi Rod, Glad to see you are still around. The following list of items in order of importance made me choose the Philippines: 1. Inexpensive - I do have a good retirement, but I still need to watch my pennies. I know I would be having a hard time in the US right now since groceries have more than doubled in four years. 6. Friendly - I want to live where people want me, and don’t denigrate my US background. 7. Infrastructure - Good roads and internet access are a must. 8. Location - I want t access to travel internationally. It’s too expensive to fly anywhere outside the Western Hemisphere. I want to explore other places. 9. Health care - I’m in good health, don’t take any medication, but I realize I will need care as I age. I recently found I can fly to Amritsar, India for cataract surgery cheaper than here in the Philippines including air fare, hotels, etc. So 8 and 9 are good. 10. Pretty women - Wasn’t looking for another companion after 48 years of marriage and being a widower, but pretty women do help. I had been to Subic Bay and Cebu City during the Vietnam War, so the Philippines were on my list. So were a couple of countries in Africa, the Mediterranean, and South America. Hi Rod. Yes, the Philippines is a wonderful country :-) Although I come from "the happiest people in the world" (Denmark), I clearly see that people are happier here even if they are poor. I'm only here 3 months a year and I'll probably never stay here permanently.

I'm also from MN. Been here about 3yrs now still not quite accustom to the heat. My air is on whenever I'm home😂 You're one of the reasons I came here keep doing what you do. Got a lot of great insights from you it helped me a lot. I settled in Angeles City but have been traveling around a bit simply love it here. I used JRC for my SRRV thanks to your interviews with JR. So are back on the bike yet?
Rod, having been stationed at Clark Air Base, Philippines 🇵🇭 in 1991 at age 28. Thailand 🇹🇭, it seems like they want you to spend your money 💰 there, then get out of town. Plus, the royal family problem. That is why they have VISA extremes. Now, the Philippines 🇵🇭 ❤️ having been a American territory, English widely spoken. User friendly VISA program and over 7,000 Islands 🏝 too. I am a widower, my children are grown now. I will be age 62 this year. I plan to return and retire in the Philippines 🇵🇭 no later than end of next year 2025. Eventually utilizing the American 🪖 Military 🇺🇸, Philippines sponsored SRRV VISA program. Thank you Rod for this video.
Nice weather there Rod, i miss the constant warm climate that i was used to when i lived there. Looking forward to resuming our social friendship with Arlene and your good self with no misgivings about returning to our home. Take care both of you, don't trust those habalx2 too much, LoL.
Hey Rod, I was first in Thailand in 1975,was married to a THAI for decades and Thailand was on my extreme focus. And was on my way until I saw a tube vid about a guy from Philippines just visiting for 60; days exempt and going back to the PI. Too hard to stay in Thailand.... yes I speak some Thai of course, more if I have a few drinks!! Take care.. see in the ville Smitty
Like you did, I am currently researching Thailand against Philippines, namely Dumaguete. Looked at Thailand ok last month, be in Dumaguete end of May till early June, to do the same. Currently all the reason why you have chosen Dumaguete are rating high on my list as well. If you hear a Aussie saying g'day mate and he has a grey beard and probably an old straw hat on his head. That would be me.
People always were looking out for me in the heat over there. They didn’t realize I had been out walking around in the Florida summer delivering mail all day six days a week. In the hills where my wife is from in Mindanao, it can be cooler there. And you’re right about the difference of a few degrees. We are hotting the 90s now in Florida. It’s a big change from the upper 80s, when your body is trying to keep your temperature in the upper 90s, as well.
Good informational video Rod. You hit pretty much all the high spots for consideration in making a move to the Philippines. The viewers should understand that the backdrop for your comments and observations is mostly "urban centric", living in or very near a 1-3 class city. I would be in total agreement that the adaptability of living in a foreign country like the Philippines is facilitated by doing it in an urban setting. It is a whole different conversation around the prospects of doing the same kind of move and doing that move into a country (provincial) setting. It's cheaper to do it in the province but the tradeoff is pretty dramatic in terms of adaptability. We can wait for your updated weather report. The Visayas is going to red alert for the power grid as you post this video. Something I was wondering your thoughts on since I know you have spent a lot of time on the topic doing the tours and such and that is the density of condos in a city like Cebu. Say what the demographics are for the condo occupants and say what your understanding is of the average occupancy overall. There are virtually thousands of condo units, maybe dozens of new towers under construction and dozens more that they are trying to pre-sell. They are talking about doing a CCLEX on/off ramp into the Pasil area since there is no current way to exit the CCLEX northbound. That area would be prime space for more condo towers and at this point everybody has the general understanding as to how they clear that kind of space for new development.
@@AmazingPhilippines1 do you have any kind of feel for condo occupancy rates generally speaking? Asked another way....how many of the massive amount (and growing) condo units are occupied and what's the demographic on who is spending that kind of money?
Rod, much like yourself, I could never get used to the cold long winters in Chicago. So I escaped to Vegas 23 years ago and even here, the winters, although short, are colder than I'd like them to be.
Hi Rod. PI was always my target since I was stationed at Clark in the 80s. But I have to have the cooler temps so I settled in Valencia, Negros (instead of Baguio) or any of the beach cities. One can always visit the beach if one wants to. Most Filipinas will not wear bikini anyways because they don't want to get tan (an insane desire for white skin). Been retired here for two years now and I am not 100% happy. Maybe 80% on a good day. To increase I'd have to find a better gf and a better landlady and a quieter neighborhood. I shoulda listened better to the other vloggers on that. Anyways, your reports are always spot on IMHO. I feel like I'm writing this to a friend.Thanks.
Most foreigner's move to the Philippines for the women not the cost of living there's lots of cheaper countries to live in. Most people understand basic English so that also helps to meet women. The country is developing so there's lots of pretty girls in need of financial help. Why do i visit the Philippines for the same reason as all the other foreigner's. Thanks for sharing rod.
Since when i was young my parent always tell stories about america even though they didnt went to america, thats why most philippine people are comfortable with americans.
To have really a good and deeper relations with the locals..it's better in the PHILIPPINES bcoz FILIPINOS are much more Westernized in their Daily Life's choices..and their capability to Speak, understand and intelligently converse with a foreigner in ENGLISH!! ALL STREETSIGNS,TV Shows,News and Billboards are all in English!!.. that alone gives you soo much ease!
Why they often dragged the philippines to any thailand content???? Both countries are amazing in thier own unique ways.. I also noticed, one particular country they often badmouthed just to elevate the other one . Very parhetic
nice video. were you on a grab bike. he drives like my ex did. hahaha. I'm coming to Cebu in feb and will stay at a resort condo by the beach in lapu lapu island for a month while I look for a more permanent condo to stay (maybe Mactan Newtown). I want to stay close to the ocean and enjoy the water. I'd like to try to keep a budget of $1500 per month while living the dream. I plan on cooking a lot, so going out will be more of a treat than a necessity. I don't do the bar scene and not gonna drive there. I picked Cebu as my first place to live due to the western amenities, expat communities, and to get used to the change in climate, since I'm living in Texas. Being 75 when I get there, in decent shape, going to the gym twice a week, and just existing, a move to the Philippines is just what I want right now. besides, my daughter in-law, a filipina, has encouraged me to make the trip over there. I'd be heading there now, but due to financial issues, I have to wait until jan or feb to hit the trail. perhaps I'll buy you a cup of coffee when I get there.
A Thai retirement visa is an extremely costly process plus reporting in to Immigration every 90 days for life. Who needs that aggravation? US $24,000 deposited into a Thai bank account is the requirement.
Add to that the frequent unfriendly or even open contempt many have faced when dealing with immigration officials. Then there is Thailand's tax grab on foriegners. No thanks.
Thailand was easier for me as a retiree than PH. Recommend using an agent and keep your money invested in the West. What you earn with simple interest will pay for your retirement visa. Language is an issue however with apps/devices its easy now.
Thats the benefit of agent. I keep my 24k invested in the west and the interest pays the agents fee. As to the 90 day check in…i pay my agent $3 and its done. The “fixers” here actually work…unlike the Ph.
@@brookeschneider2321 - Wow. Didn’t know an agent could do the 90-day reporting in, for you. Thanks for sharing that. You say you pay your agent just $3 to do that for you??
Tourists bring money but also trash the beautiful country. The Philippines cannot rely on tourism. They are blessed with natural resources. All they need are good natured politicians who love the country and fellow Filipinos. The Philippines is the best!!! Love the food!
You've got to be able to adjust Rod... Philippines not for everyone. Here in Angeles no footpaths, quite untidy but a great buzz about the place. Learn to eat with a spoon, never go out and expect to withdraw money, expect many public holidays. Spend hours in a store choosing a coffee pot and then no stock. And no means yes much like Abbott and Costello movies.

Which country in SE Asia is the best to live? Wow, that is a tough question to answer as all of them are fantastic. For me: Beach life = The Philippines wins hands down. Infrastructure = Malaysia. Culture = Thailand. Food = Vietnam. So where do I live? Bali, Indonesia. Why? The people.
If you are a Brit you are going to get ripped off on the exchange rate, the pound is around p71 at the moment, in Dumaguete the exchanges here are only offering 57, daylight robbery...
I've just watched your video again and heard you mention that you were on Mango Ave. I've not been there since March '09 and was totally flabbergasted at the changes! I was staying near Jollibees in the All Son's Hotel. Which I wouldn't recommend, since they stole $1000+ from my room!🙄
Filipinos and majority of Asians,..look younger compared to the Cold,Western and European countries as they age bcoz of the Humidity..Skin is always moisturized and sweat, which is a natural reaction of our body to humidity..is expelled thereby giving the Skin its chance to adjust and " breathe-out". That's why older caucasians looked much more wrinkled due to the Cold weather compared to their same aged Asians!!
I like that Holiday in near Ayala mall it rocks. Food is affordable and good delivered room service up to midnight and all night really on a few items. The rooms are clean, new and huge. We've book there a few times each time we come in from Manila to visit may pops there in Cebu.
This guy has a 'language issue' with correctly pronouncing "THAI-LAND". There are MANY wonderful things about the Philippines. You make a number of excellent points in its favor. Good luck there!
Philippines is a better choice though Vietnam n Thailand are both okay.... however is will be more convenient for you in the Philippines because the Filipino way of living n some cultural values are akin to Americans plus it is easier to communicate w / the locals because most Filipinos can speak n understand English though not fluently but enough to get by ...Baguio n Tagaytay cities have more cooler temperature tha oher places in the Philippines
I enjoy visiting Philippines a couple of times a year and enjoy many things about the culture and the people, but in my opinion life in the USA is much more comfortable. I noticed none of the Filipinos I have known in the USA seem to have any interest in returning to Philippines. I will be back in the Philippines soon, I go more often than any Filipinos I know.
Mostly Filipinos abroad always go back to the Philippines for retirement and others keep on working then go back to the Philippines. There is no place as compassionate and caring like Filipinos in the Philippines.
They may not have interest as at the moment, but when it's time to divide inherited properties, they will come back and feel nostalgic and retire here for good. My uncle kept coming back for his visits and then asked his family to bury him in his birth town.😮
Strange you say that bec a lot of Filipino families are returning back to the Philippines since last year. Some of them are even vlogging their recent move, the process of rebuilding their homes in the provinces or in Manila & how they are adjusting to the PH lifestyle

@@AmazingPhilippines1 As far as I know English is the medium of instruction in PH schools ALL PH documents roadsigns in PH are in English in spite of it being so Filipinos in general are so far from being fluent at it
I love history, geography, and many of the other sciences and cultural studies. I have learned about the spread of languages but have difficulty "learning" more than some basics. Spanish was easy enough, but use it of lose it. Filipino and Bisaya...I cannot understand or reproduce the sounds.
@@AmazingPhilippines1 In essence the Tagalog language is far easier to pick up than the tonal languages of the remainder of S.E. Asia. Keep plugging away and I'm sure you'll get there.
Each to their own. As a non-American a country like the Philippines that simps to cringey, soulless, materialistic American culture is a big turn off. That does explain why so Americans go there though so good luck to them. Thailand is far more culturally rich and interesting and I’d choose it any day over the Phils.
You’re correct and everything you said about Thailand, but if you have to deal with the visa for about two years or more, you will get tired of it. Also, the thai people tolerate you and they really do not want you there. They tolerate you because you’re spending your money.
@@richardhowe5583 once every three months check-in on a long-term visa for me is a non-issue. As for what Thais may or may not think inwardly about foreigners is not my concern. I don’t want or expect them to roll out the red carpet for me. I’m not there to make friends or even acquaintances, I’m content in my own company. The fake niceness of people in the Philippines is also driven by a financial agenda, just like anywhere else. But if you’re a decent, nice, respectful person people will be pleasant to you anywhere. That’s enough for me.
@@Wizerud how much money did you have to deposit into a Thai bank account to get a long-term visa? How long can you stay before you have to leave the country and come back? What i hear Phillipines are more expensive the Thailand but maybe most important safty what i see there is no problems in Thailand but you can be robbed in Phillipines if you have a Rolex for example
I totally disagree with you about the weather in Florida vs. the Philippines. Currently it's 99 degrees in Manila. Our high today in Clearwater was 84. Bangkok hit 100 degrees. And, yes compared to the northern states our humidity is high. But when I got off the plane in Manila and walked outside it was so hot it took my breath away. I have been married to a Filipina that I met here in the states for 16 years. We have been to Thailand a couple of times now and we really like it. Yes, the language barrier there is a challenge, but most of the expat areas have tons of people who speak English. My wife loved Thailand and were seriously thinking of retiring there. But the tax law changes in Thailand for 2024 would make some of my Social Security taxable. There is also the problem of the burning season. Chiang Mai, a beautiful old city has air pollution from the fires that is deemed very hazardous. Several times they have had the worst air quality in the world. And Bangkok residents themselves have been warned to stay inside. Burning season started early this time in December and is still going on. Mass transit in Bangkok puts every US city to shame. The MTS (subway) and the BTS (skytrain) are both spotless. And you are totally correct, the Visa system in Thailand is complicated and confusing. And it seems like every year or so they change it. Unless you can afford to BUY a five year Elite Visa, around $26,000. My wife has dual citizenship and I could enter and stay in the Philippines with no problem. That is what we are looking to do. She already has a small house in her province and that would afford us the chance to travel to Thailand, Vietnam, Japan.
Air quality will vary a lot as a function of location. Cebu city is very bad; Manila is worse; and many cities in India and China are worse still. I'm sensitive to air quality and expect to employ every strategy available to protect myself including masks, air purifiers, living away from urban centers etc. For me, part of any recon trip is gauging air quality. For example, I found Moalboal to have far cleaner air than Cebu city. Hopefully, after moving there, I'll find a compromise between urban and country living that won't put me as far out in the boonies as Moalboal.
They have a burning season in Chang mai for 3 months every year. Stay away from that area (north). Being in Jomtien/Pattaya area now for 2 burning seasons have never noticed an issue down here.
Air quality in Thailand particularly in the North and Bangkok is Worst compared to anywhere in the Philippines.😢 i think since November last year up to now Smog or 2.5 PM come and go....i think it will clear by next month May up to maybe November and then repeat again..... it's like a yearly cycle...
PH is not the ideal country for foreigners to settle & retire foreigners in PH can't even own small portions of lands & have very limited & restricted rights they can own condos however condos unlike lands decrease in value over time foreigners can obtain PH citizenship if born & raised in PH like the prominent Spanish Ayala family which is not the case of expat newcomers PH is amazing for rich Filipinos only
@josepanicucci8591 Filipinos always use immigration as a weapon against foreigners…..especially a vengeful ex gf who can file a deportation case against an ex foreigner bf or husband out of spite and anger.
Your right, you can't own land but most retires are 65+ so who cares, can't take it with you when you die. Rent is an option, lots of nice places to rent here for long term. It's ideal for me, love it here, and my pension goes a lot farther then it would in my home country. Different strokes for different folks as they say. 😄
@@yegg14 True you can't take your wealth with you when you die but you certainly need it when still alive no wealth & money & we're under those who have it No matter how you look at it you as a foreigner in PH don't enjoy same rights as Filipinos & can be easily deported

Be good to compare province by province.
Iloilo region vs Bohol vs Leyte vs Negros.
Thanks for sharing David and good luck.
Good plan! Coming to retire to the Philippines next year, also preferring the SRRV visa option for easy long-term living in the country 😊
Also what makes Philippines great and unique this is one Christian- Catholic country with Christian values🇵🇭✝️🇵🇭
Thanks Rod great video as always.
Good point stan.
Nice weather there Rod, i miss the constant warm climate that i was used to when i lived there. Looking forward to resuming our social friendship with Arlene and your good self with no misgivings about returning to our home. Take care both of you, don't trust those habalx2 too much, LoL.
LOL! Thanks Bob and Lina.
Crystal clear and very colorful... Thanks Rod for all the awesome info. My fight leaves in 12 hours...
Cool. Safe travels Jim.
Take care.. see in the ville
Smitty
LOL! Thanks Smitty.
Thank you for making the video and sharing! Yes, I was in Minnesota for three years, don’t miss the cold🤨🤪
Thanks for watching!
Cool! Enjoy your time.
Thanks for the heads up on switching to 4k quality playback, keep forgetting that! Thanks for posting, enjoyed the ride along, Rod....Jim
CZcams often feeds one lower quality vids Jim.
Good points Kano.
Good points and ideas. Thanks.
@@AmazingPhilippines1 do you have any kind of feel for condo occupancy rates generally speaking? Asked another way....how many of the massive amount (and growing) condo units are occupied and what's the demographic on who is spending that kind of money?
Good hearing you again Rod, just have my nose to the grindstone trying to get over there. Thanks for the "ride" and your sane take.
Thanks.
Rod, much like yourself, I could never get used to the cold long winters in Chicago. So I escaped to Vegas 23 years ago and even here, the winters, although short, are colder than I'd like them to be.
Yes, I have been in Vegas with snow on the ground and ice on my windshield, still too cold at times.
@@AmazingPhilippines1 Sounds like 2009 when we had snow on the ground in Henderson.
Several times over the years. 1/2 inch of rain and flooded streets
Many thanks.
Thanks Siverfox.
Since when i was young my parent always tell stories about america even though they didnt went to america, thats why most philippine people are comfortable with americans.
Makes sense. A lot of history here also.
Many good points. Thanks.
Why they often dragged the philippines to any thailand content????
Both countries are amazing in thier own unique ways..
I also noticed, one particular country they often badmouthed just to elevate the other one .
Very parhetic
Many countries English is mandatory at school. I finished up to high school in Jerusalem, and English was taught from second grade up to high school.
I passed the Cambridge Proficiency exam in the UK back in 1988 😅
nice video. were you on a grab bike. he drives like my ex did.
Sounds like a good plan James. Stay in touch.
Indonesia is a good option too. Worked for two years there in Jakarta. Cheap food, friendly people, inexpensive housing.
Hope you'll continue to enjoy your stay in the Philippines
Thanks Eric.
Good points Wes.
Thanks for another great video Rod!🙏🐺
Thanks fatherwolfs.
Tourists bring money but also trash the beautiful country. The Philippines cannot rely on tourism. They are blessed with natural resources. All they need are good natured politicians who love the country and fellow Filipinos. The Philippines is the best!!! Love the food!
Great video Rod! You're missing all the crazy here in America!
Thanks Don. Intentionally missing the craziness.
I think one of the most overlooked reasons to move to the Philippines is its a Christian country.
Good point and I should have mentioned it Stephen.
LOL! It is a different world here David.
Now we have a good answer to the dreaded "out of stock". Amazon now delivers to the Philippines!
Because we welcome foreigners here in the Philippines! New subscriber here Sir! More Filipinos will support your blogs I suppose.
Hey Rod, great ride and share video. But what happened to your motorcycle my friend?
I need to do a couple of repairs on the bike as an 18 year old clipped me a couple of months ago. His fault but no money or insurance.
@@AmazingPhilippines1 Great to hear you still ride brother.
Of course, I agree with everything you said. Also, it’s strange that you are a country boy raised on a farm like me, but you are living in Cebu city. you are my favorite CZcamsr, and I worry about you, especially riding those hobble hobble. That guy was passing everything in the oncoming traffic lane even a long line of motorcycles. I think if I rode one of those I would have to put on a football uniform because I would be expecting to be an accident. You are my favorite CZcamsr so please be careful out there and watch your six.. see you soon I hope and you and your girl and me and my girl can have a couple of drinks then we will go to a nice restaurant and it will be on me my friend 🙏👍👍😎
Many thanks and thanks for the advice also Richard.
Looking forward to getting together with you soon.

I'm from the philippines.lived here in Illinois dealing with the 4 seasons.
Brrr, I don't like those winters Manuel. Stay warm and safe.
Why? The people.
Thanks for sharing.
Excellent observation sir!
Thanks Juan.
If you are a Brit you are going to get ripped off on the exchange rate, the pound is around p71 at the moment, in Dumaguete the exchanges here are only offering 57, daylight robbery...
I ❤ Philippines it’s always warm and sunny!
Good one Rod!
Thanks Mark.
I've just watched your video again and heard you mention that you were on Mango Ave. I've not been there since March '09 and was totally flabbergasted at the changes! I was staying near Jollibees in the All Son's Hotel. Which I wouldn't recommend, since they stole $1000+ from my room!🙄
The fact that God's hand is over the Philippines!
You're in the Philippines, I'm over here in Illinois.
Filipinos and majority of Asians,..look younger compared to the Cold,Western and European countries as they age bcoz of the Humidity..Skin is always moisturized and sweat, which is a natural reaction of our body to humidity..is expelled thereby giving the Skin its chance to adjust and
" breathe-out".
That's why older caucasians looked much more wrinkled due to the Cold weather compared to their same aged Asians!!
Good point. Thanks. Check out castor oil. Just started using it and many benefits also.

LOL! I have stepped on a few cat tails so I know what you mean Brent.
Grocery shopping yesterday set me back 200$ for just one weeks worth of items. I cannot bear that once I retire.
I like that Holiday in near Ayala mall it rocks. Food is affordable and good delivered room service up to midnight and all night really on a few items. The rooms are clean, new and huge. We've book there a few times each time we come in from Manila to visit may pops there in Cebu.
Thanks for the review. I will have to check it out soon.
Living in the province is peaceful and the food is much cheaper.
So true ! To tell Uncle Joe Good Riddings !

Cool vid! What beach was that in the beginning of the video? Where were you going when you hopped on that motorcycle taxi (some hairy moments!)
The beach was on the north end of Cebu Island called Daanbantayan.

Good points. I would stay away from Tagaytay with Taal volcano listed as one of the most dangerous on earth.
When I hit the download button youtube only offers 720p as the best res , not 4k
I am not sure why that is, maybe their policy Rick.
@@q7bbqnope.
I understand your points James.
If the indigenous languege was a factor i want to see your progress with bisaya. It's easier then thai. Can't argue with that.
I don't understand and am not able to reproduce their sounds MrSovetsky. I had to ask a customer to translate what I was asking for at a pharmacy yesterday.
@@AmazingPhilippines1 As far as I know English is the medium of instruction in PH schools ALL PH documents roadsigns in PH are in English in spite of it being so Filipinos in general are so far from being fluent at it

It can be a challenge walking in many areas Wes.
May i ask what beach is at the start of the video ?
That is Daanbantayan beach on the north end of Cebu Island. Nice area with resorts and beaches.
You sure sound like a vlogger that used to live in the Philippines.
Interesting Thomas.
GOOD VIDEO !!! WHAT City/Town Are U You Riding Through ???
Thanks. That ride was on Malapascua Island on the north end of Cebu island.
So what beach is that in the beginning of the video????
That is on the north end of Cebu Island called Daanbantayan. Nice beach up there. Bantayan Island is a short ferry ride also worth a visit.
If you love languages, how many more can you communicate in?
I love history, geography, and many of the other sciences and cultural studies. I have learned about the spread of languages but have difficulty "learning" more than some basics. Spanish was easy enough, but use it of lose it. Filipino and Bisaya...I cannot understand or reproduce the sounds.
@@AmazingPhilippines1 In essence the Tagalog language is far easier to pick up than the tonal languages of the remainder of S.E. Asia. Keep plugging away and I'm sure you'll get there.
this hable hable driver scares the crap out of me
Yes, a little aggresive Kevin.
How long did it take you to get used to riding in traffic there?
I do not like riding in the city but accept it for what it is Badger.
Each to their own. As a non-American a country like the Philippines that simps to cringey, soulless, materialistic American culture is a big turn off. That does explain why so Americans go there though so good luck to them. Thailand is far more culturally rich and interesting and I’d choose it any day over the Phils.
Toatally agree..Thailand is superior at every level...food,infastructure,etc
I've been to both places for a short time and I liked everything about Thailand better except for driving on the other side of the road and the Visa situation on staying. Language never bothered me I just do Google translate everywhere I Go I stayed with the lady for a month in Thailand Google translate work perfectly fine
What abt air quality now compared to Thailand which is reported as very bad ?
Just move near the beach or mountain areas within any big islands and your breathing problems suddenly disappears.
The main reason Western men travel to and live in the Philippines is the women. End of story...the weather isn't ideal...too hot and too humid.
I pretty much love the weather here also Johnny but not for everyone.
You will regret you move here😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂,
8 years and I am not regretting it.
PH is not the ideal country for foreigners to settle & retire foreigners in PH can't even own small portions of lands & have very limited & restricted rights they can own condos however condos unlike lands decrease in value over time foreigners can obtain PH citizenship if born & raised in PH like the prominent Spanish Ayala family which is not the case of expat newcomers PH is amazing for rich Filipinos only
@josepanicucci8591
Filipinos always use immigration as a weapon against foreigners…..especially a vengeful ex gf who can file a deportation case against an ex foreigner bf or husband out of spite and anger.
Same as Thailand, foreigners can’t own lands.
