Geat vide. Also watch both of your videos. Like the collaboration :-) Building on the tripod section of this video you mentioned. I am new to 360 cameras and just picked up an X3. Is there and can you recommend an accesory for securing the camera when on grass/ground. Like a spike that you can screw into your selfphie stick. I feel like this must have been asked before but couldnt find it. I like the idea of some ground spike I could hammer into grass to keep the camera secure and still when filming in those locations. Thanks in advance for any advise

I was just wondering if you (or anyone else reading this comment) gets a "halo" or stitching line near your hand when using the selfie stick? It looks like sun flare (can be dark purple/green). It kinda ruins the whole invisible selfie stick experience.
Hi Cory, my guess is you have a nadir shadow turned on.. you can turn it off in the app for your camera 👍
any recommendations on 360onex extensions ? The I bought a extension kit but it seemed too short.

Stand still for 10s minimum.
I have skrewed up a couple shot by moving to next photo to fast.

first one for sure, adjusted through experience. bought your ebook before flying to Italy this year, it was absolute worth its e-weight in gold it giving me tips for the trip. Gear360 (original) still going strong, still not sure if I should I upgrade to Theta V?

darn, made one of those 5 mistakes mentioned. hahaa.. ok, time to get a stick! Adding on, while doing my 360 n tinyplanet, i noticed that we can be TOO NEAR the camera for decent 360/tinyplanet. I think to keep a distance away from your cam can be consider a tip too?

You say buy a new one if you were to damage a lens. I had an accident with my theta S at the beginning, contacted theta themselves and they took my camera in for repair within the UK I had it back within the week and it cost £90 all in. Costly mistake but not as much as a hole new camera in the end! Always worth asking the manufacturer. Keep up the awesome vids!!!

Hi Ben! Between the Theta V and Inta360 One X, which one is the best for photography and the best for videos. I bought a 360 gear just for practice before going out on vacations, but I want to buy a camera with a better image quality.
Will try to compare them ASAP

Ben, can you please help, I have a Xiaomi Mijia sphere, just got it, when I go to render tiny planet videos in Vegas Pro 16, I always get this black dot in the middle of the render... it's like a blind spot or something, but for some reason the black dot doesn't show up in the video preview... but it does in the rendered video... what gives??????
That means the aspect ratio is incorrect.. make sure your footage is the same resolution all the way through the workflow

I watched this and almost dropped my camera from a 3mtr pole. I caught it just before it hit the deck. It got me thinking. Why doesn't insta make it with screw on lens covers. Would be a lot easer to replace if you could do it yourself.
Because unfortunately if a lens is cheap and easy to replace, the quality will be terrible

Buy a 360 camera with replaceable camera lens covers! Eg garmin

@@BenClaremont I haven't got money to throw away after an accident. I have two. Paid £400 each new ages ago, they've been excellent. I ride a one wheeled electric board ( onewheel.com #rideonewheel ) so a camera not being built for the outside world isn't an option either, garmin have a decent track record in shock protection. I would have bought a £50 360 camera if the garmin wasn't about until I could have these features
The nadir, or blind spot, is directly below the CAMERA's orientation. You don't have to hold the camera vertically to make it's support disappear. Here's proof: czcams.com/video/fdtd_Vy66BY/video.html

look after your camera. Gee. Go figure. C'mon there's fluff and then there's "look after yr gear duh. Which is utter fluff.
1. Don't let the sun ruin your shot
2. Don't hold it with your hand. Get a selfie stick.
3. Don't overuse 360. Use it with areas that have full range of things to see.
4. Start with the best starting point because people have short attention spans
5. Take care of your camera, don't scratch the lense. Get a tripod.
If you want a short bullet point list, go read an article. That’s not what my channel is about.
