My first encounter with an interventional radiologist was when I had a brain aneurysm coiled at Lola Linda University. What an experience! It s 20 years later and Iâm still here at 87.
I mean Loma Linda !
When he said Tri-State Area, I thought of Dr. Doofenshmirtz....
I also heard " Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated" somewhere in my head..
Yes, I remember that first job after 4 yrs college, 4 yrs medical school, 1 year MPH, 6 years PhD 2 yrs postdoc, 3 yrs residency and 3 yrs fellowship.
Did u go into med school knowing u wanted to be an MD, PhD
Damn wtf!
How do people finance all this? What age did you start? I have so many questions lol
You definitely enjoy reading, writing and exams!
@@GlamGoddes101 isnât that very common? Most of the doctors (MD) in any competitive specialties usually have a PhD
As an aspiring DO about to begin my journey in med school this fall, congratulations man!! Your videos are dope! Keep killin the game!
I appreciate that bro! Best of luck to you
Tobi you got this! Good luck to you!
@@amberlawson668 canât lie, Iâm nervous af! Thank you đđż
@@tobisalako2543 It's okay to be nervous! I believe in you!
I'm starting DO school this fall too! Good luck!
Congratulations Dr. C! As 55 yr old and a 40 yr quadriplegic (SCI from age 15) I have met a few interventional radiologists over the years and so far they have been the driest, most humorless Drs I've even met! Hope you can change that!
I can only imagine the feelings of relief and pride that you have now. What a long journey to get to this moment! As a native of CT I am secretly hoping you end up there haha. Wish you the best and will be eagerly waiting to find out more details of your new job.
Huge congratulations to you Dr. Cellini! Youâre incredibly inspiring! Best of luck in your new role! đđ đ„
Congrats Dr. Cellini! As an OMS-1 you have inspired me to aim for interventional radiology and I hope to reach the same success as you some day
congratulations my dude!! watching you grow as a doctor has been truly humbling. thank you for opening my eyes to a specialty I've never heard of before! congratulations again!!
Congratulations Dr. Cellini!!! All your hard work and years of effort was worth it! You deserve thisâșïž
That is absolutely insane doctor, so glad for you! If I see you on rotations that will be so cool!
Congratulations!!! Canât wait to take this journey with you both!
You've managed to succeed despite having the entire deck stacked for you. Truly an accomplishment.
Weâve found him! The neurosurgeon vet! Sick him!
@@tomare6479 When I heard him say that I didnât even know that was a career option. Impressive family brains! They parents must be overwhelmed with pride. I would be if these three were my children!
@@tomare6479 technically its "veterinary neurologist" but hey you can't expect an actual doctor to professional titles correct, am i right?
@@Love-ql7rd glad there is more interest in non-invasive procedures
@@DVMCellini Musk will hire you either way you pronounce it.
Congratulations Dr. Cellini! You should be very proud of all your hard work đ
Thank you so much! You are too kind!
Congratulations Iâm so happy to see you finishing this chapter in your life and career, and I hope that the next one will bring more and be better than the last.
Hey man! Incoming radiology resident + personal finance guy + huge car guy. Car advice is always tough because it depends on your financial situation and what you want out of your car. As a finance guy, Iâd stay away from buying anything super expensive/luxurious until loans (if you have any) are paid off, but that said, you can actually find a great deal on a nearly-new car/SUV/truck if you go through car rental services. Most rental companies often have a division that sells 1-2 year old vehicles at a great price. They go through a rigorous inspection too- my wife and I bought a well-equipped, one-year-old Dodge Journey for a steal last year and itâs been fabulous! Obviously not a car guyâs dream, but itâs been great for a growing family.
My opinion is to get a good budget car, save a little, then you can buy a way better car after a year or two of earning that big boi attending salary.
...or you could just get the Porsche anyway đ
Congrats on the job!!
Congrats Dr.Cellini!!!! Watching your videos has encouraged me to pursue medical school. Iâm a 3 year undergraduate and just starting the pre-med journey! Thank you so much for the inspiration!
It must feel so good to be done. You truly deserve it!
Congratulations Dr Cellini! So excited for you!
Congratulations!! Just remember, take care of your techs and they will take care of you!
Oh trust me. The one thing I'll never forget
Congrats Dr. Cellini! Always great to see a medical school classmate succeed. Celebrate joyously.
Hello Dr. Cellini! I'm a pre-med student in Chicago. Everytime I'm struggling in class and studying for long hours, I take a break and watch your videos. They always give me motivation because one day I hope to be in your position to inspire other pre-meds! Congrats on your new job!
Congrats Dr. Cellini! This is so fantastic! I am so happy for you and you definitely deserve it!đ„°đ„°đ„°đ„°

Man, these videos make me wanna go for a radiology residency
for real i really wanna be a physician even more now
Yeah heâs helped me choose the specialty to be honest
@@tomare6479 my dad's a radiologist. I don't think I want to be one. LOL
@John Doe idk if ur replying to me but when you see the ins and outs of what being a radiologist is like, itâs a perspective changer.
Radiology is cool. I did internal medicine and surgery before. Almost specialised in trauma surgery and I still chose this specialty. ItÂŽs worth it.
Congratulation man you deserved it ! Looking forward to see your upcoming videos, but as an attending now lol. Hopefully I can follow suit and one day reach that ultimate goal. Best wishes.
Woo hoo! Awesome work, you'll excel and they'll be better off for having you
Congrats Dr Cellini! Looking forward to whatâs next! :)
Congrats to you and your wife ! Wish you all the best ..you are very lucky to find a job that you want .. I know you put a lot of time and training into it .. good luck
Congratulations, Dr. Cellini! đđŸđ Good luck in your new job!
As someone who lives in central Kansas, I can say the peace and quiet is worth it đđ
Especially if you can get to a couple games in Lawrence.
Definitely!!!
Itâs all subjective. Iâm sure one can ne happy anywhere if flexible enough.
We are South in OKC đ
peace and quiet is extremely nice
THE BIGGEST CONGRATS DR. CELLINI!!!!!!
Congrats buddy! All that hard work is paying off!
Congratulations doc. I'm sure you'll knock this new job out of the park like all of the other challenges you've covered in your videos. You're in the northeast, sounds like you'll start having some free time, I think I remember you saying you liked skiing in a past video, go for a Ford Escape, I've never had an issue with mine and it has chewed through a lot of upstate NY snow. Best of luck to you and your wife.
Also finishing fellowship and starting my job this year...can't believe the time has finally come! Congrats! Such an exciting time!
Congratulations. That is quite a commitment of time for education. You shall reap the benefits and have so many ways to go with your career. I wish you the best on so many things happening in your life right now. I have enjoyed the adventure of going thru it with you.
Hey Dr. Cellini! It was so cool that you explained all the different factors about your job that played into making the decision. This new job sounds like the dream hahahah! I hope it turns out amazing for you
That's exciting. Congrats and good luck!
Congratulations, Dr. Cellini!! Glad to know there is a light at the end of the medical school journey tunnel! lol
Congratulations! Itâs awesome when itâs finally over
Congrats doc!!! You get out there and be the best radiologist!!đ„đ„đ„đ„
Congratulations đ Dr. Cellini!!!! All your hard work has paid off!!!! The best is yet to come!! Not very versed on cars, but probably a more family-type car đšâđ©âđŠđ.
Congratulations! The journey never ends
Congratulations! đ Happy wife happy life is definitely true. Whenever I get to feeling down about all the schooling I watch your videos and they are inspiring.
Congrats!! So exciting!!!!
Came across your channel thanks to the weird CZcams algorithm and Iâm so happy for you! I wish Iâd studied harder when I was young to get me to where Iâd liked to have been your going to inspire SO many people probably already do, congratulations đ„ł
So excited for you!!
Congratulations Dr Cellini!
amazing, congratulations!! love following your journey
Congratulations. I wish all the best for you and your family đ
Congratulations on your hard work! You are smart for thinking about your career as it pertains to your future. Also, for recognizing the potential for skill decay without utilizing your diagnostic skills like you said. All smart choices. As for the car, well, donât go crazy. You are going to be a family man soon. Think ahead as you always have. Good luck to both of you!
I appreciate it and agree about the car!
@@DrCellini look I say, about the car, if you really want to get crazy rent something *fancy* for a fe months, then return that sucker and buy a family car.
Congrats on your first (and hopefully last) attending position, Dr. Cellini! Thanks for sharing your process: it'll come in handy in six years haha.
Congrats!!!!! Success in your new venture
Congratulations on your upcoming job. It seems like you put a lot of thought and effort into figuring out which type of practice you want to be a part of. It's also great that you will still be close enough to NYC to visit family and enjoy the night life. It may not be a fancy car but you can't beat the Honda CRV for reliability. It comes with AWD and would have plenty of room for when you expand your family.
Congratulations on your new job Dr cellini
Congratulations! Excited to see what kind of videos you'll make. I'll miss the on call vlogs but I'm sure you won't miss those haha
So important to keep those diagnostic skills - so glad you mentioned this!
Congrats on the new job! I absolutely love my Nissan Rogue. Itâs the best car Iâve ever owned. So comfortable, very reliable, very roomy but not TOO big. I hope you took some time between ending old job and starting the new one.
Congratulations doc!! You deserve it
Congrats! So happy for you!!! :D
CONGRATS DR. CELLINI!!
Congratulations, and I hope you nothing but the best man-Hard work pay off.
as an newly graduated xray tech in CT, i am excited for you! IR is one of the coolest departments in the hospital
Congratulations Dr Cellini. You picked such a wonderful field to practice in. I hope your staff enjoys working with you as much as I enjoy working with my radiologist. Cheers to a satisfying career! Range Rover is my pick!
uber congrats dude! celebrate anything we can. but thats rad.
Well thought out plan. I like how your planning on balancing your work and private interests. Wishing to much success in your ventures.
Congratulations!!!!!! Right in time for the Full Moon!!! Blessing to you and your family! đ
That's actually interesting how you mentioned dating and job hunting (only looking for one job or one companion that you can see being with the rest of your life).
You also bring up a very interesting point about not giving up diagnostic radiology!!!! It is like forgetting your first language and trying to relearn it later years down the road.
Congrats Dr. Celini! Iâm an ms1 at Pitt and I hope to be an orthopedic surgeon one day. Hopefully, the job market will be as nice to me as it has been to you. As for a car recommendation, you canât go wrong with Lexus. You get the best of both worlds with luxury and rock solid reliability.
Congrats bro, wish you the best!
congratulations!!! đ
Congrats Mike! Time to enjoy our last 2 months in Manhattan.
So happy for you! Congrats!!!
So I've been following your channel for 2 years now, and this got me interested in pursuing a career in radiology!
Congratulations Dr. Cellini.
That is great you were able to stay in the same region, but moving is always a pain (moved twice in less than a year across the country. Great video.
Congratulations, Dr. Cellini
Congratulations!! I'm an MS-2 and seriously can't wait to be where you are!!!
As far as cars- I'm currently looking for a new one and the top 3 on my list are Mazda CX-5, Jeep Grand Cherokee, and Toyota Rav-4 if you're looking for a mid-size SUV!
Way to go Dr. Cellini. Congratulations!
Congratulations, Iâm med student. Having a great interest in cardiology but cause of you it turns into interventional cardiology, one step further!!đ„¶
Congratulations! đ„ł
Salute to a full-grown dragon!!! Big Congratulations on the completion of your medical training!!!!! you're my role model!!!
hello, I'm about to join my clinical radiology training soon in the UK. I've been watching your channel for 2 years (apparently, from the start). I get so much motivation from your videos. I'm at level 6/14. hope to work with you someday. or may be in some conference or medical meet! đđđ cheers!!!! Regards
KING MOVES!! Congratulations!
Congratulations on your new job and finding that match that met most of your goals, What about Adrienne and her work? Will she be looking for a new position once you move and get settled? Again, best of luck to you. Dreams do come true!!
congrats!!
Congratulations! Thatâs amazing, and I canât believe itâs been a year. Itâs pretty cool you got a job by emailing first. Did you even know the practice had an opening? Is this the only radiology practice at the hospital? Does 14 years count your post-bac?
As for cars, I like Fords and Volkswagens. I am on my third Jetta and love it. The Passat and Arteon also look great. If you want a mid-size SUV, I would go with the Ford Edge or the Tiguan.
Congratulations Dr.Cellini đ
Congratulations!!
Congrats Dr. Cellini and all the best in your new attending role... Since you'll be moving out of the city, I recommend a Jeep SUV... Also in one of your next educational skits can you touch upon the differences & similarities in interventional pulmonology and interventional radiology of the lungs medical procedures.
Congratulations! - Kim đŸđ„
Congrats! đđđŸ
Congrats! Happy for you! I love my new Rav 4 AWD. Toyota Care is awesome. Your car tells you when to take it in. They text you a little video of the work they did. And it's all free with the purchase of a new car. The car is fancy enough, super high tech.
