- Thomas Jackermeier still remains a major shareholder in the business, so maybe will continue in some other capacity at the company. It's only been a day since this was announced, so they'll be more to come, for sure.

@@derodge correct and they took the money in November too! Their shifter was £100 off. Luckily I had my TH8A to keep me going in the meantime.

That’s just rubbish isn’t it! My kit took 3 months to arrive and I thought that was bad…and yes, Fanatec had my money all that time too. I’m selling it and have gone Moza. Fanatec are not the only option any more, increasingly less so. The growing competition will eat them alive if they are not careful, hence the subject of this video. Never screw over your customers
Almost pressed the credit card purchase for a Fanatec deal.. so glad I didn't and it's thanks to the community that I waited. I have never seen anywhere such poor customer service. Let's see how the company represents itself now. Better I hope
The banks are worried they won’t get their loans back. With the Black Friday debacle, the order processing mess, warehousing woes, and plummeting customer faith, I’m not surprised. I have moved over to Moza, mainly because of the new truck wheel, but part of what made that wholesale move a viable option for me was getting away from Fanatec.
Will be interesting to see how this affects things like marketing budget abd affiliate programs in the future. They must not be servicing their loans effectively for the banks to intervene.
Glad he is not in control anymore, I hope they sue him and take him to jail for holding peoples money for many months without any shipment.
Really hope they'll get their sh*t together, losing a major brand like Fanatec would suck hard despite their most recent past.
A much smaller sim gear manufacturer Honeycomb wasn't fulfilling orders and kept giving excuses, turns out they were in financial trouble. Hope this isn't the case with Fanatec as their products are decent.
I hope they come good, i have selfish reasons though as i own their DD, a few wheels and shifter. Always been great products amd i hope they turn it all around
When i first started sim racing Fanatec was the pinnacle and most sort after stuff, i hope they get that back.
It sucks that Fanatec can’t get out of their way because they have many different options that I wanted, but after Black Friday, my whole image of the company dramatically changed. Fanatec canceled my BF orders, held my money hostage for weeks and they don’t reply to any of the emails I’ve sent them since December. I can’t justify buying any sim racing products from them or recommend that any person in my current situation even look to buy their products. The only thing that they have going for them as a current console sim racer is that no other sim racing company has an Xbox, PS, and PC-compatible setup all in one. Logitech would IMO be giving Fanatec a run for their money if they offered more wheel options, higher-end peripherals to go with the Pro wheelbase, and a slightly lower starting price for the wheelbase and pedal bundle (something like $1050 if you bundle the two).

That would surprise me because it doesn't align with the stereotype of German precision. There are time zones but as I'm writing this, it's NOT April first in Germany ;-)
The fool's joke would be that he is staying as CEO.
Happy we went with the Logitech G Pro based on your review. Will gladly wait for other wheels to come out. Mostly play GT7, but could use an X box wheel rim. More and more bad news around fanatec, glad I dodged that bullet.
I don't use Fanatec gear anymore because i always wanted an OSW mige aka VRS DF Pro blah blah blah ...but Thomas jackermeier was and is such a great guy a real character....People that are newer to Sim racing might not remember that he was such a liked and respected guy in the community. Though admittedly yes, even back in the day there were issues with reliability... but they had the Best belt drives bases you could get. The quality and aesthetics for the price looked really good.
It's a shame to see his legacy take a hit like this but Thomas is still The majority owner anyway And I'm sure he'll be just fine lol.
I sympathize with all the people that have had problems recently and I understand.
it's happen before the founder of the company doesn't have the skills or experience to expand his/her own company. Just fix it!!
