Nakamichi DR-2 first start before repair.

The mechanism requires a complete inspection and replacement of the belts. Also full cleaning and audio calibration.

yes, diseases of the tooth of time, I just restored DR-3 (it can be seen on my channel) it was similar, I had to completely disassemble and restore two motors, contacts for them, change the belt, disassemble completely, clean, lubricate, adjust all the mechanics. The achieved result, the quality sound, is like an award. 🍹🎶🎶🎶

... the reel motor did not work until it was warmed up, but the capstan motor - stopped when it warmed up properly, after 20 minutes, - cleaning the collectors, cleaning the contacts, polishing, oiling the axles gave a remarkable result
