This 1983 Volvo 240 Turbo wagon is finished in black over tan upholstery and is powered by a turbocharged 2.1-liter inline-four mated to a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Equipment includes 15″ Virgo wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, a roof rack, air conditioning, power windows, and a Sony cassette stereo linked to Polk audio speakers. The car was registered in Montana and Illinois before it was acquired by the seller in the summer of 2022. This 245 shows 124k miles and is offered with service records, an owner’s manual, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Michigan title.
Silver-finished 15″ Virgo wheels were fitted by the seller and are wrapped in 205/60 Hankook Kinergy ST tires mounted in 2022. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes, and the brake master cylinder was replaced in 2019.
The turbocharged and fuel-injected 2.1L B21FT inline-four was factory rated at 127 horsepower and 150 lb-ft of torque. The fuel tank, sending unit, pump, and injectors were replaced in 2019 by North Pointe Motors of Skokie, Illinois, along with the alternator, water pump, and transmission and engine mounts. The Carfax report shows no accidents or damage and lists history in Montana, Illinois, and Michigan.

Much cooler than my 88 245. I had a 82 242T when I was too young to appreciate it.
I had a 1981 242GLT wine red w/ 15 inch alloy wheels that were used on the turbo models, hand cranked sunroof - dad bought it for me my senior year in high school

When locking the OD in you should always use the clutch paddle to prevent the OD gearbox from damage!
@@roopster1959 that’s how they were designed by factory…but it’s even better to press the clutch…if one have to negotiate gradients you can lift the accelerator and lock or unlock the OD

I wanted a 240 wagon, but because it’s not in the “acceptable emissions class”where i am, i had to settle for a V70. Amazing car, 2.4T, but the style of the 240 wagon is much nicer to me.

Should do an engine swap, fit it with a 1.0 3 cylinder modern turbo engine that has far more power and speed
