Why does everyone hate them now
cause there was a doc titled everything walked about brockhampton i think and it said they had allegations against them but the whole thing was bullshit. i don’t know why people try to cancel them when the allegations are fake

one thing i don't agree with in the follow-up doc is the discussion of bearface's allegations. i think that the original person to come forward should be taken seriously. their voice should not be discounted.
bottom line is cancelling is largely ineffective in the front of forcing those in power to learn and grow. i think we should focus on accountability and demand answers for the corroborated claims. however, cancelling can be a useful tool that attempts to immediately deplatform those in positions of power. this is very much needed in many cases outside of brockhampton, and unfortunately, i think it is needed for at least nick lenzini out of any of the members.
i think it's also important to consider your own thoughts and feelings upon evaluating these allegations. i know i am no longer comfortable generating capital for brockhampton as a collective and am slowly starting to turn my streams and listening power to individual members. hearing shit like this about your favorite artists is tough but we can't just brush it off, especially if they wield financial power.

@@aah4735 there is little to no evidence for a majority of these claims. I think it is fair for fans to want an explanation before they support a group but at the same time, if the claims are false, they do not need to respond or bring any light to it if they don't want to. The original doc was clearly written by someone who had it out for the band. labelling bearface as an ableist for singing along to a pop smoke song is a prime of example of reaching to find anything that can be used against them.
