Honestly no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't do it. He was clearly stuck in her heart forever and Sakura knew that herself, and it's somewhat a good reason why. It's all because Sasuke was automatically cursed with hatred after the massacred of his family and that turned him into something worst and that wasn't his fault neither wasn't Itachi's fault either. It's was Danzo's fault all this time, I don't know if Sakura figured out that it was his doing all this time but she did knew that Sasuke was being controlled by the cursed of hatred after his family was slaughtered and because of that she chose to forgive him numerous times, give him countless chances, care for him, and love him forever. If anything then Sakura probably wouldn't really care if she died by his hands or not she'll forgive him anyways and always love him forever and ever, care for him, and protect him even in her death maybe, and if that's the case then we shouldn't really blame her completely.
