What EZ Mil says on the lyrics is so true. I am a ARMY Veteran not to brag or anything. But basically when your at the basic training they remold you "train" you to be a soldier. It does not matter if your Rich,middle class or poor or even the color of your skin or where you came from does not matter NO SPECIAL TREATMENT! ALL ARE THE SAME.
This was my exact experience. Lackland AFB San Antonio TX. Joined in coz my entire family was air force. Messed up my knee, medhold for a month, food was great, you get your 1 phone call a week, but yeah you have to clean the latrines, scrub and sweep the floors, corridors, etc. And yeah I did apologize for not making it but my family said "at least you tried"
When they gave us the shots, you step up on a platform, standing up, there were two nurses, one nurse on each arm. Each nurse shot you with 4 or 5 types of vaccine each. Some don't take it too well, I guess. But they do ask you if you're allergic to penicillin or what not. Our flight dorm was 321st TRS aka Hotel Hell. Flip-flops were used instead of brooms, canteens with hot water to iron your clothes instead of an electric iron, etc.
My dad did 25 years, Master Sergeant, God rest his soul. My cousins are still military nurses (1st Lieutenants). I'm like EZ, I'm half Filipino, half American. Two passports. Despite all the turmoil, I'm proud of my soil (both of them, PH and USofA)

I was in the Air Force for 10 yrs. Lackland AFB is the Air Force Basic Military Training School in San AntonioTX. Everything is controlled from phone calls, chow, and even showers in the beginning. Basically when your put on Medical Hold, you're temporarily released from the Training Squadron and assigned to a detail Squadron that's responsible with base details until the Air Force decides to send you back to training, or medically discharge you which could take up to a month. Yes! It's true if your B-Day happens to be when you're in Basic Training It'll feel that nobody cares, cause nobody will know it's your B-day except a letter from a love one.
Ez Mil's music is not only a typical songs we hear everyday but a story. He's a great storyteller. And it's very deep lyrics, i thought my brain will break 🤣 we need more reactors like you. We're thankful to have you. New sub here!

I really can't help but connect with Ez Mil and his songs. I'm half-Filo as well. My family and I migrated from Manila to Sydney (though I now live in the UK).
I had undergone Army Officer's Training in Sandhurst here in the UK but left due to personal reasons.
His song, "Easy Going Millions" is another song that I really connect with.
That Filo family first mentality is something we both share.
Now this is the eminem influences to Ez. He really made me feel nostalgia to 90's rap music that actually tells story.

That's just the way it is in the military. Everyone needs to get their shots for their own protection. Unfortunately, no one knows who is going to have an adverse reaction or not. No different than when anybody who gets a flu shot gets a reaction. No one knows who's gonna get it. That's just the way it is. Unfortunately, he was among the few unfortunate ones who got it; hence, the MED HOLD. But, fortunately for us, we now have him to entertain us. As for cleaning the latrine, I know it sounds like a dirty job; but, hey, someone's gotta do it. And it's just part of the training. And, as far as I'm concerned, I think it's character building. Go Air Force!!! LOL

What do you mean? He's lived it so he got his content from his own experience.
He mentioned it on his interview last year that he went to military training but got sick that is why they send him home. (As I remember I saw that interview last August on PHLV Radio Filamusica)

The U.S. military is not a baby sitter and pampers anyone who joined in the military, the military is designed to make a man out of you with tougher discipline, with family benefits " Tricare for life " and different kinds of adventures once you passed the basic training and make a carrier out of it " studies medicine, pilots, engineering, Nursing, Doctors etc".... I knew someone that was in for 6 months and got out because he couldn't take it, but after a year he came back in and stayed 21 years and retired Msgt, then got a job overseas as a civilian contract employee " logistics department" from the big companies with good pay, and most of these companies hired individuals that had a military background history.... So it was good of EZ MIL trying to make a carrier in the military, but I guess it wasn't meant to be because his allergic to the mandatory yearly medical shots.... Just like this guy that I know of, not only him is up-to-date with his yearly shots especially before deployment, also his family " covid-19, flu shots, tdap, pneumonia, tb, malaria etc, "..... hopefully EZ MIL will try again someday, his body is fully adjusted by then for basic training. Good luck EZ and be blessed.
