- I'm back!
Welcome to part 1 of my 3 part tutorial for Skillet's "Not Gonna Die"
As far as rhythm guitar goes this song is pretty easy, almost beginner level (The solo is a different story, haha)
I am so sorry that I haven't uploaded anything in months! I'll try to keep more videos coming at a more consistent pace!

If anyone's interested, I've heard Skillet do a live performance down half a step in Drop C.
Yea sometimes they do that in concerts
Kyle!! Thanks for continue making your tutorials. We've been waiting for you so long. Keep rocking!
P.S. what the amp and pedal do you use?
Sorry to keep you waiting!
My amp is a Fender Frontman 25R and my pedal is a Boss OS-2 Overdrive/Distortion. Which, because I usually keep it on the overdrive setting, I've heard would make it the equivalent of the Boss OS-1 Super Overdrive, which is cheaper. However because I've never used an OS-1, I can't really say whether they sound the same or not.
Hope this helps!
please dude make a tutorial for the Feel Invincible solo, here on youtube nobody explain the solo only rithmyn
Awesome, thanks for the help man!
Glad I could help!
I also checked out your cover, and you were Killin it, nice job over all
MRTributes Michael Rullan Thanks, I appreciate it! I'll try to get the lesson for the stuff that I added up soon!
Kyle Scott no problem man, thanks for the help, and just keep doing what you're doing
Awesome song! and its pretty easy imo
+PianoSteve Yeah, I'd say that, aside from the solo, it's easy enough that a beginner could play it. Still very fun to play though
Help me plz, I really need the tab for this music. Where I can find it?
+TheMisticOnes Have you tried ultimate-guitar? I haven't looked at the Not Gonna Die tabs they have so I'm not sure how accurate they are (I have no reason to as I don't use tabs, I learn everything by ear) but the song is pretty easy (aside from the solo) so I'm sure they're at least pretty close
please make this tutorial more simple. )-; I am sad because I can't do half of this without an electric guitar.
So i have the Rise Tab book that i bought years ago. And they are showing drop c for the tuning. The open rift is all on the G string going 7-0-5-0-7-0-8-0-7-0-5-0-3-0-2-0 i also noted that it doesnt look like they even use the drop C chord in the song at all. Why would they print this if your way in drop c# just seems easier with a more practical tuning?
Tab books aren't actually written by the artists themselves so they aren't often accurate. I seem to remember Seth himself mentioning something on Twitter about the book being way off for some of the solos
awake and alive pls
+Kevin Moreira I think there are some great lessons for that song on CZcams already
only question: what tuning is this song in?
[†]Kιяιтσ[†] I put that in the text at 0:15. Drop C#
Can you make a cover for savior please
Maybe sometime in the future. I don't really want to at the moment...
Ok thanks for replying
What kind of guitar you have
It's a Yamaha Pacifica

+Mario Castro Drop C#
+Kyle Scott thank you
