My advice to all who read this message.get your self enough food to last you 6 months.i laughed at a friend who is a prepper and then covid hit.i was stuck in the house for a few weeks but i had gotten 4 or 5 hundred dollars worth of food.great movie very disturbing.
What about those of us on fixed incomes that live off of $80/week? It's impossible to stock up with that little amount of money. Add to that literally no friends and the only family member I speak to is in a different state. I'm also on methadone so would basically be really screwed with intense, debilitating physical and mental withdrawals with not being able to get my medication. There's a lot of people out there like me and in similar positions. Are we just supposed to off ourselves? That's the only reasonable thing I can honestly think of to do.
Mayne growing the eff up and kicking your habits cold turkey immediately and spending that entire 80 bux a week on stockpiling food and stocking up water in every 2 or 3liter drink bottle or gallon milk container you can lay your hands on would be a good start...

@@ilovecats4208 Even on a low strict budget you can food prep. Just buy one can of beans or a packet of rice or pasta weekly. That's how we started. It soon adds up. whatever you do, don't stop your methodone. I hope your getting all the support that you need to help you.
As soon as I saw the guy who plays the dad, I knew this was going to be good. He's a very underrated actor who's been around since the 80s.

We’re only months away from this happening again! It happened in 2020 and it was a planed event called a virus called Covid ! It’s happens once every ten years !! It’s all planned!
@@KhairinatLABBO-ot6ltsolar generators don’t make any sound at all and are in your home. I have 2 and they worked perfect during the snowstorm we had in 2022. I was able to charge my devices, cook some and keep fridge and freezer going good. I also have panels to charge it from the sun. My only problem was the water was purposely turned off for 3 days. We had bottled water for drinking and cooking. I melted the snow and used that to flush the toilets. Now I keep drinking water, fill the tub with water prior to anything happening and keep at least 8 of the 5 gallon containers of water in the pantry.

Very unique storyline, believable characters, & surprisingly well produced & edited for a film with a minimal budget.
Also so true about how the sin/ betrayal of one can affect numerous, including innocent individuals who had no part in the sin.
We need to have more mercy, forgiveness, understanding towards one another (family, neighbor, stranger). To not be so quick to judge hateful intent behind the acts of another.
As scripture clearly states.. Love thy neighbor as Jesus has loved you.. and if this is to difficult a starting point, then start with- Do unto others as you WOULD WANT done UNTO you (NOT how another treats you!).

I am agnostic, but this is one of my core beliefs. I do not call this concept by the same name; I define this as “compassion in the face of adversity.” This may be guided by religion, taught through sciences, learned from a mentor, or simply be innate to one’s self. For me it was that innate ability beginning in early childhood, reinforced by living through sustained abuse and wanting to bring the opposite to the world, supported by a type of spirituality, defined by sciences, learned by investing time in others, and sworn by my oath to humanity as a clinician. I have always enjoyed learning about others religions and faiths through in my studies, taking a couple extra classes, but even more so through one to one connections! I have learned, no matter the faith (or no faith at all) and despite the heartbreaking atrocities in the name of religion (a failure of mankind), our principles and goals are more alike than not. I truly wish humans would dig deep and realize this. No more hate. No more APATHY. I believe apathy is the true opposite of love and our world is plagued with it.
As a concept, compassion in the face of adversity is so simple, however implementation can be complex and quite challenging at times. It gets easier as one commits to it completely. I know as much empathy as I feel for others, and having built my life around this, my own conviction has been tested.
I have given life saving and pain relieving care to a convicted rapist/murderer with 2 life sentences. I survived being raped at gunpoint when I was 13 years old. As a clinician, I requested the guard not tell me anything about this man’s crime, but when I protested their “rules” preventing ethical care, the guard saw it fit to tell me his crime. The guard saw it fit to try to anger me, disgust me, and tempt me to provide subpar treatment. As a woman and a survivor, this was… a lot. I admit I had to step away and refocus on my oath, my training, my personal beliefs. I was able to come back, advocate for my patient just as strongly as I would for any other, I got him what he needed to receive the same excellent care I provide all patients. People trust me with their lives and it is an honor, every life.
If I can do that, we CAN ALL find our way, it’s just a matter of WILL WE. We can make change, one person at a time. If you are told or you ever feel “you’re just one person, it doesn’t matter what you do”… to the world you may be just one person, but to one person you may be the entire world. With that, being the entire world to one person can be as simple as just listening to them, seeing them, being present in the moment, perhaps only for 10 minutes with a total stranger. Simple. Sympathetic vs apathetic. Don’t “mind your business”, but get help (or be the help if capable) when someone is in distress for any reason. Compassion in the face of adversity. These are just 2 very basic examples of infinite opportunities we have to connect.

FICTION is a stepping stone to reality. This movie is what we call A CRYPTIC WARNING of events YET to come in the very near FUTURE.
However this movie is an emotional roller coaster. Especially when he found out that his son was not his biological son.
oh my God!!! WOW!!!! I was expecting trash and I can't believe that this movie is just beyond words, but i'll try. What an totally amazing movie! There should be academy awards all around. Just can't get over it! Even the CGI effects were award worthy. They just kept cutting to that black billowing smoke that looked so REAL that I was almost choking! (In fact I ended up choking through most of the movie.) And the other production values were outstanding and impeccable, too. They must have had to spend a fortune on making that set look just like an old beat up dark ill furnished single family house in LA. What an amazing effort! And the ending! Wow- I never even saw it coming [SPOILER ALERT]even though the idea of waking up from a dream has been used what? 20-30 times over the last 80 years of movie making?? So what! It doesn't matter! It was just so brilliant and creative and totally original and unexpected the way THEY did it using an exercise machine as the prop! Who would have ever thought of that??? Brilliant!!! I can't believe anyone could even call this a b movie.I don't think a letter of the alphabet could even begin to describe it, actually. And the father was just brilliant, wasn't he?? What's his name? He's been in so many movies but his name? Uhh... uhh....oh well. I think I used to know it. It doesn't matter! And the daughter was just brilliant and she was in something else too, right? I need to just see the whole movie again right now from the beginning!! I think it is just beyond description, really!!! WOW!!! OMG! Everyone out there should just totally LOVE this movie!!!!
This turned out much better than I expected. The beginning was a bit slow, but as soon as you got into the real plot, it kept me riveted till the end. The twist at the end blew my mind. Superb acting on everyone's part and kudos to whoever made this little gem, it was awesome. 👍👍👍👍👍

I agree, this was better than many stuff you can find on Netflix. I hate the "fake" ending though. SPOILER: The real ending is much better, I've just one complaint about it: girls have plot armour so thick that not even depleted uranium can pierce it. Shot in the head but survives? Sure. Whoever made the decision for the ending(s) is doubly coward.

Familiar faces and great movie. The daughter was the little girl Katie on My Wife & Kids and her brother was the little boy on Moesha. Of course we know the dad was in some great movies!

I'm not sure why there are negative comments. Very mind bending movie unlike any I've seen. I can usually predict the outcome of any movie, this wasn't one of them. Would love to see any others by this creator.
Um, wow - suspenseful, extremely disturbing and ultimately confusing, but entertaining. Glenn Plummer really stood out, Marcus Paulk was also fantastic - overall the acting was pretty good from the rest of the cast.

I also want to say, just cause he was betrayed by his wife didn't give him the right to kill someone. And I need to also apply that to myself. We get lied to all the time. @@MarcusYsrael true yes. But the husband also snapped . I think the pivoting moment for him was when he realized she betrayed him. Then his whole world unravelled and he went mad. Killed the lover and his children. Is what I was referring to.but the end was good cause they were all saying they were dreams they had of what would happen. But obviously it didn't. Cause at the end it goes back to the beginning when the Christian's came to his home wanting to read Bible verses to him.i was relieved to see that at the end none of that really even happened. At least that's how I took it.
The only time I'm good with killing someone is if they're a flesh eating zombie trying to harm another. That's when I shoot to kill. They're dead anyways and beyond help. Otherwise I hate seeing people being killed. It's horrible. It all comes down to what's truly in someone's heart.
I had a vision where someone came into my home. A woman. She was trying to harm me yet I didn't even flinch, fight back, nor was I scared. She couldn't retract her claws to harm me. I just stood there.and watched. She looked up at me horrified. Like who are you? And then she ran out of my home. I didn't even lift a finger to try to harm her. Clearly I wasn't afraid to die. She feared me though. Conclusion. These things cannot harm me and my kind at all.
To the cast and crew, thanks for doing a great job. Very realistic acting, scenes, story, reactions. Thank you, Mr Glenn Plummer, for all your contributions to the entertainment industry.

Really good. wonderful acting. The detective/supposed boy's father was a bit of a Deus-ex-machina, but that can be forgiven since it was part of a dream. The fact that the whole story was a dream was a little hard to swallows, but still, you can't object to a happy ending.

What a really well acted movie! I wouldn't say this was Sci-Fi tbh. A Murder, mystery and suspence. Along with a hint of Revelations, the last book in the Bible, banged up with some rap at the end. A great movie for a night in.

@31:57- Marcos is correct. I worked for COH PWE & you should see how vulnerable our water treatment plants are. Now I'm in Colorado & they're worse with water. Ever wonder why you always hear "boil the water!" in ANY state in the us? When they say it's ok to drink tap water again, you actually need to wait 3-4 more days.
Prep, people! This pand is not over by a long shot & the gov is the first to tell you "get ready to take care of yourself, we're busy." If you look at some of the prepper channels on here, like Alaska Prepper, Urban Prepper, The Provident Prepper (religious based, but is correct), etc. most of them are former military. I myself am a former Classified Civilian from HFD. I also worked at hospitals & every hospital has a disaster plan. Problem is, administration didn't want to stockpile PPE, etc. because "it costs to much." Every state in the us had to make a pand plan in 2005 & did so. They just chose to ignore it. It even included ventilators. Colorado's plan is 95 pages long. NY's was about 400 pages long. When the gov Cuomo said "they had no idea this could happen," bs. I emailed him their own plan.
Like I said, get ready. Stock up. I did. The family is this movie is typical of the general public. We're given a false sense of security.

Very nice and creative writing. Only yesterday I was saying where is the creativity in movies gone...as long as they can pump you with images of sex and loose language you got a movie- so they think. I like the passion in this film, the real life issues while we face life's issues.....and the ending was a charm. Makes the viewer think, really think. I like how the tension is completely resolved and still re-strung again as we wonder is the visitors harbingers to his dream's fulfilment or is he now going to take warning and begin to adjust his abrasive attitude to his family or is his family life about to unravel? Well, well played. God acting as well.

This movie was awesome, but I get really miffed with endings that are "oh.. thank God, it was all a dream!"
I just think that's kind of the easy way out to end a movie. But I have to give credit for after that how he accepted the people spreading the word of God because of it.

Than the same jahova's witnesses show up. it was no dream dude, it was a premonition. shit's about to get real.
U know that could've been the twist...him waking up could've been the afterlife. maybe at the end he died.

I called the ending before I got to it cuz it just seemed so unrealistic (I normally don’t watch movies, I’m a documentary junkie). I do like that him hearing about God at the end though. Basically get right before it’s too late
Crazy crazy ending! It was all just one crazy dream! I’ve been getting very crazy dreams myself. Very crazy. Crazier than any CZcams movie I have seen.

Great superb surprise movie! The lead actor I've seen in many support roles. o This was great. He really had me feeling for him but also realizing he was a jerk using his illness to browbeat his family which is very common with chronically ill people. The middle to end scenes were phenomenal and the twist at the end just blows my mind.
Definitely worth the time to watch thank you so much for uploading. Thank you to the actors and actresses who made this such a good movie even when there were just a few moments there where well it feels short but that was due to the fact some of the script just didn't gel well, however that is not the fault of the actors. Very professional production crew for a B movie.
