They are both fine. I'd say equal in work performance. The case drops less bales meaning less work. The JD is convenient, and cool for JD only farms.
The price speaks for itself.. when you buy the JD Harvester just think you could buy 2 case harvesters & get the job done twice as fast 🤔

@@justsaying833 with a mod we can get a wider JD round baler, and personally I don’t mind picking the bales up, plus they can stack tighter than the cotton one from case. Don’t get me wrong, I love the case harvester. For leasing and contract: case, ownership:JD (mod) solely because the case will let me drop an unfinished bale.
IRL for the JD: the basket of leftover Cotten is side tipped into a trailer similar to a sugarcane basket then hauled off, idk if that’s possible to do or if maybe that edit can come later, but you’re supposed to be able to tip the collector basket Cotton from the left side into something else.
The gain from not stopping is voided. By all the extra bales you gotta collect lol.
Exactly! Add to that the insane cost difference and this test showd me the Case won hands down.
That and you can basically have 3 Case machines

But you can run 2 case harvesters for a little more then 1 john deere, so much faster with case.
Try putting covers on those case bales. Thats a whole 'nother level
Hmmm 400k more and having to pick up a crap load of bales on carriers that can haul max 3 at a time compared to picking up a few bales 2 at a time? Case all the way. Bale collecting is a pain and the Case saves a boatload of time and money.
Yup and you can carry 2 20k cotton bales compared to 3 10k cotton bales
You understand when using the jd you drop the bale at the head rows. You don’t keep it until full again. Which yes you pick up more but in same place.
It would be interesting to see difference in an unreadable total across an entire field since cotton requires a certain percentage to unload an unfinished bale. It seems like you could finish with nearly 2500 liter that cant be unloaded in the JD while the Case only requires 2000 to generate a partial bale.
Now if you take the time to pick up the bales the case will even up on the truck you only stop twice but you have to stop four times to fill it with the round bales. Just some food for thought

Deere boys better be glad it ain't real life,repairs would cost 1k more because of "Diagnostics" and you would have to haul it to the shop to get Maintnance done

Case ih cuz it's free, makes bales twice as big (so less to store) and the case ih is almost half the price at the dealer
Jd as it offers a whole variety of different ways to handle/move the bales and the round bales are supported by tension belts unlike the square modules
Case New Holland 620 cotton picker has upgraded the baler system, and the air duct and cotton duct have also been further designed to greatly improve work efficiency

I love green and yellow, however, if I want to pick up twice as many bales I might as well have twice as many harvesters and get done in half the time . . . which is what one can afford to do since the JD is twice the price. No brainer Case wins this one. Doing cotton is boring anyway, I just put it on a worker and pick up the bales when it's over. Good money in it though. Thanks for the review. BTW the machines getting off row is caused by the map set up not by the machine itself.

You still have to collect twice as many bales with the John Deere adding more time to being totally complete with the harvest
And if the operator knew how to run one of these machines, they would drop the bales on the turn rows so it’s much quicker and easier to pick them up
Because of modded trailers I use JD. The auto load bale trailer holds more round cotton and a low loader only fits the JD. This particular loader can have multiple trailers added. So I drag 3 pickers in one trip then 4 trailers.
The jd made 1 bale. Its not compleated until the bale hits the ground.
Case. It does a better job at half the price. Just like in real life.
I do like the Deere, and it is fun to play with, but that price is a hard pill to swallow anytime. You could essentially buy 2 Case harvesters for the price of 1 Deere. Then not only are you harvesting twice as fast, you have half the number of modules to pick up. Then in order to unload a partial module with the Deere you need to fill the pre load chamber (2500L). The Case can be unloaded earlier than that. The Deere is cool and the non stop harvesting is nice, but I have to give it to the Case.
What wins me over is the case because you can unload whatever is left inside the machine and you lose cotton with the JD because you can't do the same

i think i stay with the iconik ideal harverster, with cotton pack. 250.000 liters, 36 m wide header, 50 km/h.... outruns them both :)
Honestly i like the old basket pickers like the 9960's-9996's and cases 2-6 row pickers these balers just aint for me

The John Deere is best with the variable bale density mod. Can carry twice as much as the case harvester in round bales.
It was helpful. Doubt I will spend the $5. I don't do much cotton. I don't do a lot of bale wrapping either so I didn't download Anderson either
im using it on ps4 on welkers farm field 5 next to woolset point with 2 machines field is almost done have 13 bales so far and its not

yes i will use this infomation wisely, thats the same me who cant play the game pc not strong enogh, hasnt set eyes on cotton i fs15 which i can barely run and also dont really care which harvester takes longer since i run workers and cheat in money anyway
CASE wins this hands down, you may lose like 2-3% in time to bail but the CASE produces half as many bales. You'll easily save 15 minutes on picking up squares vs brown.
Don't do any Cotton but not a JD fan boy persay either, maybe a 2wd 4640 or something.Think of it this way, you can have 2 Case Harvesters to 1 JD.
Dont drop a cotton bale while transporting. Cars dont stop for them on the road in FS19. Knocked one of mine into the water while trying to pick it up.

I used the round cotton bale harvester to get the Gone but not for cotton trophy.
Real cotton farmer here. Real comparison for efficiency and effectiveness. The Case 635 is directly superior in capacity, resources, price, and performance overall. Try comparing TWO Case for cost versus one John Deere. The results co completely trash the John Deere. Faster speed and fuel capacity is inconsequential even in very large continuous fields. Handling bales is a poor comparison because experience and proper equipment negates any advantage of handling round bales, which is NOT easier when storing and require twice as many transport actions. What was not even considered? Repair and maintenance costs. Guess who wins this area as well? Case again due to its modular nature.

Advantages of JD harvester: pre-chamber for non-stop harvesting and the back bale "holder" so you can dump the bale when you want (at the same egde of a field everytime for easy loading).
Advantage of Case IH harvester: less modules to deal with.
In real life application, the JD is the obvious winner in my opinion.

It always comes down to preference most times, I always run JD. Great video though.
Real world application the Case IH is superior. Ask any gin.
As a proud Government Subsidy player, I choose green. Less downtime, less left over in the baler, more fuel in the tank.
