How we started our dairy farm

- There is a joke that goes around about how some people started chicken farming with a feather to grow their now expansive farm..ok, that joke is just that, a lame one.. This post is not about a feather or chicken, meet Ann, she started their dairy farm back in 2007 in the wake of the highly contested general election. A true fact to her story is that they started with one zebu cow and kept improving their breed to currently over 150 high yielding dairy cows and 28 bulls. She has gone a step further and started processing the milk into Yoghurt, Mala, and the recent regulation by the government to stop the sale of raw milk brought about a new opportunity.. Ok, find out which this is. In her words, a cow doesn't eat from a plate!! plan your feeds for up-to one year! Also, remember to like, share, and subscribe ahead of an upcoming series on the A-Z of dairy farming which will run on a different CZcams Channel - Dairy TV..... #TwendeKazi

Hi Ann Mwangi the director of Meved Dairy Farm what a wonderful job you're doing there. I have just been watching you on CZcams and noticed the introduction your surname was some how written as monkey and felt shocked that anyone should even mistaken Mwangi to monkey. I beg to differ if anyone deliberately decided to mislead your followers on CZcams. Meved Dairy Farm director is Ann Mwangi....it's super nice to see your hard work and where you've come from and what a journey. I hope one day will be able to pay you a visit at Meved Dairy Farm. Thank you Ann Mwangi for empowering Kenyans and neighbouring countries as well. We need people like you out there and may God bless you and your family and grow beyond our boundaries.
This is so inspiring, my parents started this way too, farming paid our tuition and produced three lawyer, one doctor and a pilot. You are doing fantastic mama, africa is indeed a gold mine, everything we need we have.
proud of you from Ethiopia
And zero farmers! Who will take this business to another level. We now need to build generational food industries and build breeds which are bigger than Nestle.

This one of my dream before I start up a family I need my wife and kids to find my animals in place...much love mama
Congrats Madam Ann Mwangi for this inspiring story of Meved Dairy farm. I served Rukanga ACK Church between 2010 and 2013 when the farm was in formative stages. I got an opportunity to interact with you and your family which was a great blessing. Am so happy to see how great the farm has developed and become a great beacon of hope to dairy farmers in that region.May God continue blessing the work of your hands.
